We are a locally loved neighbourhood bistro just tucked away off Bank street in the Glebe. We serve updated versions of familiar classics in an unpretentious and homey atmosphere.
We feature small sharing plates that we serve tapas style. Our dishes are meant to be enjoyed leisurely and in good company. We offer a seasonal and ever changing menu, oysters, a curated wine selection, classic cocktails as well as happy hour specials Tuesday through Thursday. We are centrally located and blocks from TD place.

Hidden Gem in the Glebe. There less than 20 tables. The Tequila old fashion are must try. Every dish was amazing. Our waitress Silva was spot on with service.

Whatever dish I have tried there, it has invariably been the tastiest version of that dish I have ever had. And the small tapas style dishes mean I can have several of the tastiest dishes I have ever had. My wife and I have several “favourite” restaurants. But when we decide that we are in the mood for the best culinary experience, the choice is alway Earling’s.

A restaurant with a difference. We savored a couple of creative dishes that were well presented. One was quite a chicken dish that was quite mild while the other dish with mushrooms was a particularly well blended mix of flavors. The desert was a torte when added to a pleasant evening's meal. We had both local beer and some white white that blended well with the meal. Service was quite friendly and we were never rushed. Overall, a pleasant change from the regular fare that one experiences nowadays.

Delicious food. Fun atmosphere. Great service. It was my first time there and I especially liked the decor. The kitchen is out in the open which is pretty cool. The server was happy to make recommendations based on our dietary needs.

it took 3.5 hours to get 4 shared plates and a small appetizer. Food was yummy but not extremely memorable, enjoyed the rabbit and duck the most.

Hi, we remember you and are sorry to hear we let you down. As the three of you stuck around for dessert and tea, we were quite surprised to hear about your experience. At Erling’s, the food comes out slowly, one dish at a time and we try to time everything at the diners pace. We don’t want anyone to ever feel rushed. We were a little extra busy due to Folkfest but 3.5 hours can be a long time, depending on the the diner. We are definitely sorry and are all about making it up to you. Second time here, Sylva was the best host and she really knows how to treat a customer. Hats off the chefs as usual, the food is always incredibly flavourful and inventive. The pineapple spicy sauce needs to be bottled and sold.

We shared 3 small plates, 2 glasses of wine and a dessert: tomato cheese dreams on risotto cakes, wild mushroom stroganoff, and duck breast with Brussels sprouts. The wine was an Ontario chardonay, which the owner recommended. We had a brownie chocolate sundae and 2 glasses of port. The service was friendly and especially knowledgeable since much of the time it was by the owner himself. The restaurant was busy and the sound level was fairly high. We recommend it for the interesting, changing menu and for its casual atmosphere.

The entire dining experience was exceptional. Outstanding customer service (fulsome descriptions of food, including options to accommodate food allergies, prompt service) to truly delicious and beautifully presented food. We started with the Charcuterie board and oysters, which were both amazing, and the other small plates (mushroom stroganoff, cherry tomatoes on risotto cakes and octupus salad with tzatzkik) were outstanding. We deliberately saved room for a dessert - a mouthwatering creme brulee with macerated berries. The best part was the 5-7 happy hour, which gave some savings on appetizer options and lovely drinks, including a G&T with grapefruit juice. Looking forward to our next visit!
