Travel to the coastal regions of the Mediterranean without leaving the city. Enjoy a selection of the freshest fish and seafood available in market and bountiful dishes inspired by the regions of Greece, southern Italy and Spain. Celebrate the Mediterranean philosophy of cooking where simple yet flavourful dishes are made in house from scratch and encourage family style sharing around the hearth.
Imagined and designed by Executive Chef Ben Heaton, the Estia menu features fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers and markets, prepared with skill and simplicity to make the most of fresh ingredients prepared simply over charcoal or wood burning oven to lend smoky earthiness to each dish, complemented by touches of tangy citrus and spices.

Lovely, gracious, comfortable restaurant. Outstanding service, very welcoming. Food delicious. Portions and prices vary a lot - server's advice was spot on.

Octopus - delicious but very small portion. Spinach/cheese appetizer more like crepes wrapped around delicious filling than spanakopita - large portion, really good. Whole branzino well matched with green sauce recommended by server. Short rib was awesome but portion super big (high price seemed reasonable when I saw what we got - tender but not overcooked, really well seasoned and not overwhelmed by salt (as short rib often is). Very garlicky green sauce and yogurt sauce was perfect.

Sommelier very helpful - a totally gracious experience from the front door to the dinner and out in time for a concert.

We have been to the same place when it was called NAO. ESTIA was also very nice. Food and service was good. I would say though the food is over priced for the sharing amount that is being served. We generally try a lot of new fine dining places. This place will not make it to my top 10 list to come back again. . One time experience was good.

Enjoyed the food here, but found it pricey for the portion size. Also, I do not like it when I dish out a lot of money for a main course and then I have to order a side separately. How hard is it to throw some potatoes or vegetables on the plate for the price we are paying? They de-bone the whole fish for you and then put it back together on the plate, so it looks lovely. But would look lovelier with some colorful veggies.
Lovely ambiance and very nice staff.

A welcome surprise. Great evening with friends. Service was impeccable. Interesting wine selection for connoisseurs. Mains perfect for sharing or doing your own thing if you're hungry. We are still talking about the food - enjoyed everything from the fresh oysters, to the octopus and tuna tartare and then a shared place of Greek Branzino to die for. Relaxed atmosphere, comfortable. Definitely returning.

We were quite looking forward to this evening as the menu looked great and it was our anniversary. The food was competent and good enough, but the only thing we felt was truly exceptional was the desserts. There were a couple of missteps in the service, including a forgotten dish and incorrect dishes being brought to the table. Given the price, and we're not particularly big eaters, portions were small. Overall, the experience was ok, though very pricey based both on what was consumed as well as in the context of comparable spend at other high level restaurants.

A nice and balanced fusion of Mediterranean and Canadian kitchen. Impressive wine list. The Turkish spoon salad was truly amazing! It was authentic and close to a proper Turkish dish more than any other ones on the menu. The brenzino was charred to perfection and it was buttery to mouth.

Terribly salty food, especially the calamari.
The Lamb sausage kebob was spongy in texture, so a big turnoff.
Fries decent.

When Estia opened we would have highly recommended it to everyone.
Unfortunately the number of vegetarian options has steadily declined.
We can now only order appetizers and sides and it is just not good enough.
We are disappointed we now have to scratch this off our go-to list of local restaurants.

Estia is a lovely oasis in a busy vibrant part of Toronto. It has a Mediterranean feel with a leafy courtyard in the front and a spacious indoor dining area.
The service was very attentive and staff knowledgeable about the food and wine.
Much of the food is cooked in a charcoal oven giving it a delicious flavour. We shared 3 starters; halloumi, octopus and eggplant with feta, all we're very good. For mains we all had different kebabs again all were cooked beautifully. The desserts are worth leaving room for too!
I would recommend Estia for a special occasion or if you want to treat yourself to something different. It was by far the best meal we had in our 3 week trip to North America.

What a fabulous experience, on every level! Superb food served by great, knowledgeable staff, in stunning surroundings. Wine list excellent and accessible, despite the Ontario taxes. I am only in Toronto for 3 nights and will be returning to Estia tonight (so 2 out of 3 dinners).

Very good food and beautiful outdoor setting. Our primary server was very nice, but we had too many servers try to assist, which did not help since we had to keep repeating our requests and it disrupted our conversation a lot and we felt a bit swarmed.
