Great service, very knowledgeable staff. I would recommend.
Three of us enjoyed a lengthy dinner evening and the essential aspects of a great experience fit together: We were greeted warmly and the table was ready. Estia’s atmosphere is elegant and inviting with well-chosen background music at a level that feels just right. A variety of appetizers was enjoyed by us – I particularly recommend the simple looking cheese flatbread which offers an amazing confluence of unexpected flavours. Next we shared one large brazzino with delectable side dishes. Great desserts (rhubarb) and after dinner drinks rounded out the evening. Estia offers wines that are selected with greater knowledge than found at most good restaurants. Our server was Sarah who blends charming personality, knowledge and skill to a point that would be tough to top by her peers – well done Sarah! I have been to Estia several times and the experience has been consistently to my full satisfaction. Thank you to all!
Wonderful restaurant, excellent food quality and exceptional service. Definitely one of the best in Toronto. Second floor space is perfect for special occasions. Thank you for a memorable rehearsal dinner and the customized menu card. All of our guests are impressed and enjoyed the meal thoroughly.
Restaurant looks great, and service is very good. Appetizers and desert were good. Unfortunately the two pasta dishes were poor. In particular, the seafood linguine should be removed from the menu.
The ambiance and decor in the restaurant were quite nice, however the food was disappointing. We got the fresh calamari (not the appetizer) with dill and capers and it was extremely salty, although cooked properly. The chicken was dry and the rest of the food was quite bland. The standout dish was the lamb meatballs.
Branzino was fabulous! The whole meal was delicious. Great decor and ambiance. The booths are fun for a night out with friends.
Just as great as last
Had Turbot this time.. fabulous!!
Great dinner. Only frustration was that the host could not find my reservation and treated us a little like we were trying to scam our way into the restaurant.
Poor inattentive service - appetizers came long before our drinks etc. Ordered 1 pound of shrimp - they served a plate with 3 medium sized shrimp that could not have weighed more than an ounce each. Poor quality food and bad service. How did they get such a good rating from Toronto Life? Either a lucky night or someone fixed the results.
Lots of great restaurants in Toronto - I’d suggest you pass on this one.
Outstanding food and service as usual.
from the moment we stepped in, we loved the place.
The Jackson 5 were playing, at a discreet level. Followed by Dianna Ross.
Set a wonderful vibe for the whole evening.
The restaurant was mostly full , despite it being a Tuesday evening. We assumed it was because of the rave review in Toronto Life the weekend before.
Waiter.. friendly, very helpful always available.
the food was FANTASTIC
would highly recommend Hallumi, and the Octopus for starters. and the amazing flatbreads.
The 'piece de resistance' was the fish... sold by the lb. cooked to perfection.
We had our Spigola served with olive oil and salt.
As we were finishing, the manager came to say hello and explained that a lot of the fish originate in New Zealand. It was interesting to learn about this process.
will be back soon ...so delicious....
The food was good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
Lovely interior, but I found the food to be a touch overpowered by salt on all counts.
Very good food and service
Lovely meal! Fresh fish was excellent, wine suggestion was great, service was outstanding and overall we had a great time.
We really enjoy our dinner. All the staff take our all request into consideration and they were really attentiave . Service & ambience really wonderful for our birthday dinner. We will plan an other dinner a in upcoming days. Foods were very delicious too. Totally we LOVE here!
We were. Treated beautifully
What a great spot for fresh fish!
Good service, great fish (can be pricey so watch out), and interesting menu. The extensive wine list was pretentious but I guess that's the trend.
The decor looked great but my table was horrible, squeezed beside the entrance of the kitchen, I felt like I needed to duck my head when someone whizzing by me with plates. I did not complain so that's partly my fault.
2 cocktails, 1/2L wine, 1 app, 2 whole fish, 1 side, 2 coffees = $300ish
We really enjoyed our meal. Great service.
it was great food and atmosphere. we have enjoyed very much.
First visit. Lovely atmosphere. Very chic and comfortable Excellent trout and sides.great service.
We’ll be back
I can tell you that this experience was an amazing one. Service was attentive yet not too invasive. Food was wonderful and whole fish was fresh and wonderfully prepared. I may have had better Manhattans but this one was decent (I am spoiled by bar chefs who use special cherries). I will say that there are not enough restaurants like this in the city which care about food and service like this group. Thank you for a memorable night. I have already booked my next dinner with you!
Day after Day, Week after Week, Month after Month. Always consistent in an excellent way.
Fantastic place! Always a pleasure dining here.
Food was delicious as usual. Will definitely be back!
Food was very good...as were the cocktails! Our waitress was fabulous! Will definitely go again.
Good food and service
The pasta with octopus was too hardy and I couldn't find the octopus. Also, the restaurant included an 18% service on your bill!! for 6 peoples it was a $150 tip... way too much
It is a little pricey but the food was really tasty, servings are for sharing don’t order too much. Service was impeccable and the ambiance was romantic yet fun. Enjoyed the music as well. Would definitely go back.
Superb service from the minute the valet took the car in the snow storm...
Food was outstanding. John served our table and he was knowledgeable and attentive- his recommendations were spot on! Will return soon
Apps were tastey and the highlight. Ribeye main was not strong and I think not even as good as the keg. The stripped bass was fine but just that...fine. Overall, appetizers and salads were interesting but mains forgettable. Food and wine was overpriced for what it is. Service was great.
It was my second visit. Unlikely to have a third.
We were there on a quiet rainy Monday night...so not a lot of diners...which was actually nice...service from both our server and sommelier was excellent.
We had an all fish meal...clams,octopus and grilled Red Snapper...all delicious....and a very nice red wine from the Canary Islands that our sommelier recommended.
Definitely look forward to a return visit.
Amazing food and great ambience. Would def go back to try the rest of the food.
Went for a birthday dinner. Service was friendly and attentive. Our server made great food and wine recommendations. Restaurant kindly made accommodation for some food allergies. Food was amazing! We ate all vegetarian dishes. All were well cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend Estia.
Great food. Great ambiance. That being said, I felt very rushed. Wine choices come in different amounts. When I ordered, I was giving the largest glass rather than being asked what size I wanted. The same could be said for the food. There was a small size and large size. When ordering my food, I was given the larger size rather than being asked what size I wanted. I did not realize this until I saw the bill.
Well prepared fish, generous portions, nice atmosphere - though we ate early so it was quite empty at 6. Wouldn't recommend arriving before 8 unless you have to. They got us a great corner table / booth next to the kitchen window to share our meal. Perhaps because we were so early and there weren't many diners, the servers were a bit too attentive. It was odd. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and this was a long overdue date night without our kiddo. Good option if you're specifically looking for seafood.
Estia is a nice restaurant with good location and nice setting, however, I think it is a bit expensive for the quality of meal it serves
Excellent service. Setting and ambiance, perfect. We shared the grilled sardines, arugula salad and white snapper. Everything was superb. Will definitely go back.
Superb service and food! Will be back for sure!
I have not had this good of a dinner for a long time. Simply delicious. Impeccable service. They accommodated my food sencetivities .
I recommend their leechy martini.
Was very disappointed when we arrived we were told from Valet Services that their prices went up today. Well it was frigid temp, so alright no choice there. Was then told that can put valet charge on bill, but tips you can't, therefore he wants us directly the cash tip. He tells us that if we give ticket to server at end of meal car will be warmed up. Went inside, ambience nice, timing of food not so much, but manager removed charge for sides. Ordered pasta but not as great as we were anticipating. Server was knowledgeable, good & gave him our ticket & of we included the valet charge on to our food bill. Well -- they didn't know which car was ours, we had to wait (with the tip in our hands), then took over 20 min to find, then husband had to suggest they call the guy (after he said I hope he can find it and that he might be stuck because of a ramp situation), still had to wait. Main guy just kept complaining it was cold outside. Yes we know, my husband was waiting outside whole time. Finally our car arrived and let me tell you - this valet service ruined the whole night. Very unprofessional.
