Went here for adult family birthday celebration. We had a fabulous roomy booth. The restaurant is beautiful, but it was very quiet, which created a little lack lustre ambiance. The food was good. Very heavy and a little too much. The service and wine selection was excellent. The signature Estia Spritz was delicious! I enjoyed my experience at Estia.
Loved the whole experience. Food was beyond good. Restaurant is stylish yet comfortable and service was stellar. Was a little disappointed in the portion size of two of the delicious appetizers we ordered. Sharing menu suggests that waitstaff let you know when you are not ordering enough. Advice would have been welcome. Nevertheless, we loved our evening.
Was an outstanding dinning experience overall! The service, food and bar were just simply top notch.
This was our second visit to Estia. While we enjoyed a couple of dishes (salad and moussaka), we were disappointed with the other starters and mains. The portion sizes for the starters, especially the octopus, are too small for the price. The adana kebab, only one, was completely over priced too. I understand that we are paying for Estia’s prime real estate location on Avenue Road, but it’s ridiculous. The food is tasty, but there is little value. We likely won’t return.
New Year’s Eve
Absolutely perfect. Every dish was a tasting treat. Service, quality & ambience was outstanding & that was New Years Eve. Manager Jonathan, went out of his way to have a fabulous single malt scotch selection. A treat in every way.
Great spot! In love with the menu and in love with the atmosphere.
I find service may sometimes need improvement but its a definitly a place I keep coming back to!
This place won our hearts the moment we walked in. The service, atmosphere and general vibe of the place was outstanding. Our server was helpful and knew when to come back and ask or to simply make eye contact and carry on. Loved the experience and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
Second time there and each occasion has been a special experience. Definitely going back
Wonderful service and food. The octopus was amazing and the fish was just perfectly cooked and seasoned.
what an amazing experience! great food, service & atmosphere
Intimate, quiet, and good service. A little less check-ups would be great though I appreciate the attentiveness.
First time coming to this restaurant. I was amazed about the freshness and creativity in their food choice. The fusion between European and Mediterranean style is exceptional. Their daily fish are super fresh and don't need any extra seasons. The local Wagyu beef that they use from a certified London Ontario farm are super delicious and worth the try. Our bartender/waiter is extremely knowledgeable about the wine we and food that we eat. He paid a lot of details in attending our table and make us feel so welcome here and recommended the best wine to pair with our meals. They have a beautiful patio that is surrounded with trees make it feel so private and unique. You would forget that you are dining in the central of busy downtown Toronto because the atmosphere is just so different.
We had a very good service and dinner. It’s was amazing.
The personnel were welcoming, professional, knowledgeable about their menu, excellent in there service offering a delicious meal in a lovely environment.
Wonderful place! Great service and comfortable seating for a large group. If you are a large group--book an early seating--it gets noisy as the restaurant fills. We shared everything and left it to our server to plate the choices. Knowledgeable and helpful. Expensive, but well worth it for the great tastes and brilliant service. Would love to go there again!
Not having been to Estia before we were uncertain about the menu but our waiter Boris was extremely helpful - and accurate in predicting both what we would enjoy and how much of it to order.
The food was truly outstanding and three of us had a delightful evening. It really couldn’t have been better!
Amazing mains that are suitable for sharing. I’d suggest going straight to mains.
A bit overpriced, but expected since we were in yorkville
Excellent service. Delicious and inventive food. Great ambience for a night out.
Estia was incredibly charming with a contemporary aesthetic and a modern menu. While the salad that i had was a bit too doused in vinaigrette, it was still quite delicious. The seasonal fish my date and i had grabbed was spectacularly presented and tasted amazing! Unfortunately though, the roasted white chocolate dessert that i had ordered was not too my liking and tasted odd. Definitely wouldn’t recommend that.
Aside from that, it was very relaxing, well lit, the service was absolutely phenomenal, and it was very romantic ;)
Would definitely recommend!
Delicious food, fantastic service and a great atmosphere.
The food was amazing. If you have been to Byblos and enjoyed it then you would love this place. The only thing that prevented me from giving it 5 stars was the slow service.
Everything was great overall. One of the dishes was overly salty.
Everything we had from the menu was really good, but the service was fantastic. Great team here! We’ll be back soon.
Best in class service and amazing food.
Not much to say other than excellent!!!!
Lovely, gracious, comfortable restaurant. Outstanding service, very welcoming. Food delicious. Portions and prices vary a lot - server's advice was spot on.
Octopus - delicious but very small portion. Spinach/cheese appetizer more like crepes wrapped around delicious filling than spanakopita - large portion, really good. Whole branzino well matched with green sauce recommended by server. Short rib was awesome but portion super big (high price seemed reasonable when I saw what we got - tender but not overcooked, really well seasoned and not overwhelmed by salt (as short rib often is). Very garlicky green sauce and yogurt sauce was perfect.
Sommelier very helpful - a totally gracious experience from the front door to the dinner and out in time for a concert.
We have been to the same place when it was called NAO. ESTIA was also very nice. Food and service was good. I would say though the food is over priced for the sharing amount that is being served. We generally try a lot of new fine dining places. This place will not make it to my top 10 list to come back again. . One time experience was good.
Order the halloumi!!😍
Service was phenomenal, specifically Tessa she was great. Would go back!
Enjoyed the food here, but found it pricey for the portion size. Also, I do not like it when I dish out a lot of money for a main course and then I have to order a side separately. How hard is it to throw some potatoes or vegetables on the plate for the price we are paying? They de-bone the whole fish for you and then put it back together on the plate, so it looks lovely. But would look lovelier with some colorful veggies.
Lovely ambiance and very nice staff.
I would not recommend this restaurant because the food is not good but trendy.
It is way overpriced for the quality of food
Great evening last Sunday. Amazing food and great service
A welcome surprise. Great evening with friends. Service was impeccable. Interesting wine selection for connoisseurs. Mains perfect for sharing or doing your own thing if you're hungry. We are still talking about the food - enjoyed everything from the fresh oysters, to the octopus and tuna tartare and then a shared place of Greek Branzino to die for. Relaxed atmosphere, comfortable. Definitely returning.
Beautiful decor, comfortable seating, highly knowledgable staff and outstanding service!
Loved it! We just got married and they send us a complimentary champagne to celebrate which I thought was really nice. Great environment and friendly staff.
The seafood was all outstanding!
We were quite looking forward to this evening as the menu looked great and it was our anniversary. The food was competent and good enough, but the only thing we felt was truly exceptional was the desserts. There were a couple of missteps in the service, including a forgotten dish and incorrect dishes being brought to the table. Given the price, and we're not particularly big eaters, portions were small. Overall, the experience was ok, though very pricey based both on what was consumed as well as in the context of comparable spend at other high level restaurants.
