That was the most amazing meal that I have ever had. I was a beautiful “production “ for all senses of exquisitely prepared food. We did the 7 course tasting menu which was constantly full of surprises.

Ce fut l’expérience d’une vie je n’avais jamais eu une si belle soirée dans un restaurant. J’espere Que nous pourrions vivre cette expérience une autre fois. La nourriture était exceptionnelle et tout était parfait. Nous en parlons encore deux jours plus tard.

Nous sommes retournés au Café Europea tout aussi enchantés que les premières fois! Nous avons célébré une occasion spéciale en famille et chez Europea, tout est hors pair. Une expérience unique!

Nous sommes à notre deuxième visite en salle et sommes très satisfait de la qualité du service et du lunch.

Nous sommes client de la boite du chef depuis ses débuts.

Nous avons réservé pour le souper du 4 juillet prochain.

Great food, great service, great rythme for courses meal services. I mean some people complain about the new concept , but I mean if cant accept that much of an adventure, then stay home! Overall it was a great experience!!

We were served by an undertrained waiter. Didn’t know the menu. Two separate waiters got our food and drink order wrong. When my soup arrived, we had to find our own spoon. Food was good though!

malgré l'ouverture depuis quelques mois, le rodage ne semble pas encore adéquat. Nous avons pris le forfait expérience avec 4 verres de vins. Il est malheureux que les vins servis le soit après avoir terminé le plat. En recevoir 2 verres de vin en même temps, ne remplace pas le fait de les recevoir et les déguster avec les bons services. Ça nous fait se sentir pressé et l'expérience est gâchée. J'imagine que ce restaurant est victime aussi de la pénurie de personnel. Finalement je trouve qu'il y a beaucoup de fla fla mais que le service laisse à désirer. La nourriture est cependant très bonne mais ce ne fut pas une soirée à la hauteur de mes attentes. Je préfèrais l,ancien restaurant.

Nous avons adoré l’expérience 11 services avec l’accord des vins Prestige. Fabuleux, des accords que je n’aurais jamais imaginé. Fin souci du détail.
Bémol sur la nappe de la table qui aurait pu être changé pendant le repas et sur la rapidité des services. Nous nous sentions un peu bousculé et étourdis entre les différents services et les nombreux serveurs.

Petites délicatesses nous ont été remises et rencontre surprise de Monsieur Ferrer. WOW ...

Been to Europea few times before, when in Montreal, and were sorry to see the old location go.
Initially not too pleased with the 30-minutes wait in the bar and not very impressed with the watery cocktail that was offered.
However, our mood changed when we were seated and the show began.
The 5-course menu was an eye-opener with the unusual presentations. The exquisite lobster-tea, the 3-way foie gras plates, we finally learned how oysters are harvested , the 3-way beef with the supertender wagyu, the marshmallow show and the sugar-spun desert presentation.
Again unusual in every way, if we were to give out Michelin stars we would give 3***

Definitely an experience. That is probably the best word to describe it. There are many other places in Montreal to get a good meal, but come here if you want an experience. Don’t get me wrong, the food was great. But the presentation and the service were top notch.

Anniversaire des 30 ans de mon épouse, repas exceptionnel dans son contenu et sa mise en scène. Je ne peux que recommander cette place, incontournable pour les amoureux des bons plats et des bons vins.

Prepare for a disconcerting evening. Actually they tired us out when all we wanted was a delightful evening of wine and food. Wine issues I will get to soon. Decor is modern with Red Velvet Table Coverings harking to victorian times. I found this theme of odd juxtaposition and deconstruction to be unsettling. I suppose that may be the theme of this restaurant.

Upon arrival I was asked to sit and fill out a questionnaire. I declined and that seemed to upset the hostess. Upon arrival at our red velvet covered table my wife set her purse down. She was then asked to move her purse to her lap. The table cloth was then removed in flourish replaced with a tree hanging bread and a cloth runner. My wife returned her purse to the table only to be again asked to return it to her lap. The table covering was again changed and finally a white linen tablecloth was put down and we could relax.

We ordered a 7 course tasting menu with four Prestige matched wines. The tasting menu was very creative and well prepared. Very good, but not especially memorable. The wine was anything but Prestige at $150 or $37.50 per glass. Off the shelf no vintage Taittinger Brut, off the shelf 2014 ordinary Burgundy, off the shelf California Chardonnay and Cabernet. I would guess the average bottle cost was approximately $30. We were completely underwhelmed.

During the dinner we were asked to don a virtual reality mask and headphones. Both gimmicky and unnecessary....not to mention annoying.

Summary: The food is very good but avoid a tasting unless you want to be annoyed, order a good wine off the menu and do not trust the sommelier for a wine flight. Finally, given the choice again I would not return and eat two evenings in a row at Toque.

Décoration le mur blanc donnant sur la cuisine qui est vu à partir de la mezzanine devrait avoir une œuvre d’art ainsi la prise de photo de la table aurait un fond distinctif au lieu du mur blanc.

We were at Europea for the Afternoon Tea. We had one guest who was gluten sensitive and the rest of us got a gift of a cake from the chef. She was told she would get a box of chocolates but did not get them. We did not have any napkins which made it difficult to eat the finger foods.

C’était notre première fois au nouveau Europea. La cuisine est aussi délicieuse, la présentation des plats est absolument remarquable et le service aussi attentif. Une belle expérience gastronomique que nous comptons bien répéter bientôt. Seul petit bémol, nous avons été avisés quelques jours avant qu’il y aurait deux services à cause du Grand Prix. Si nous l’avions su plus tôt, nous aurions choisi une autre journée, pour pouvoir profiter au maximum de l’expérience.

Trop cher pour ce qui a été présenté (ex. Une seule huître!!!) Le goût des vins est exhorbitant. L’expérience(!) inutile fla-fla. Aurait tout avantage à revenir à l’ancienne formule d’excellente nourriture sans le théâtre. Je suis très déçue alors que j’aurais voulu que ce soit une belle soirée pour souligner des événements importants pour nous.

The food and cocktails were very good. The presentation, as intended, was quite a spectacle. However the service was horrendous. My wife and I were stuck there for 4.5 hours, an inordinate amount of time even for a tasting menu. It was technically 12 courses, though the first course is an amuse bouche as you are seated and the final 3 courses are rapid-fire desserts, so the timing was fully the fault of the service. I got the impression that our waitress was just far too busy to be helping a table of 2, so instead focused her attentions on the larger tables. Other times, she rushed us when we had a dish for only a couple of minutes. She also passed us off to other workers several times as she focused on her more lucrative tables. She sure showed up for the pourboire at the end.

Perhaps our experience was a one-off. The food was very good and again quite a spectacle for the most part, so I'm disappointed that the service tainted our experience.

Who would have thought that one of the best vegan meals in Montreal would be offered at one of its great French restaurants? The multi-course vegan tasting menu was wonderful and the whole dining experience was magical, surprising and entertaining. This is the place to go for a vegan or vegetarian out for a special occasion.

Pas un repas mais une expérience gastronomique, comme au Toqué, mais avec en plus une mise en scène originale et une atmosphère plus décontractée, sans doute grâce à la horde de jeunes serveurs qui se succèdent à notre table à chaque acte de la pièce. Les plats sont à leur meilleur et présentés de façon originale. Considérant tout cela, le rapport qualité-prix reste équilibré. Enfin, nous pouvons admirer le chef Ferrer lui-même (la cuisine fait face à la salle), ce qui est tout à son honneur un dimanche soir : -)

Tout était savoureux. Et quelle mise en scène, wow! La gentillesse, la courtoisie et le professionnalisme du personnel sont remarquable et que dire du sourire et de l'accueil de Jerome Ferrer.

Eurppea is a wonderful special occasion restaurant! They definitely put on a show. The food is delicious and the service was impeccable. I hope to return someday!
