   I absolutely loved it! Evangeline is the place you want to make time for. The ambience is so chill, it gives you a little break from the partying going on in the surrounding. All the food is freshly made so expect to spend a good hour in the restaurant. Staff is kind, respectful, caring, and helpful. The host was amazing btw, you’ll enjoy a service you weren’t expecting.

   The service was outstanding, the food was delicious. Very cozy -relax and enjoy atmosphere. We each ordered something different and shared so we can all get a taste. All of us were completely satisfied because the portions were just right. The only problem was that we didn't have room for dessert 😊

   The food was very good, just what we were looking for. The atmosphere was what encompassed the whole French Quarter feel. And the service was impeccable! our waiter saw to our wants and needs and engaged in enough small talk and gave us great advice on menu choices and things to do in the area. Thank you!

   Took my mom and grandma for Mother’s Day! They couldn’t get enough of the courtyard and the food was simply wonderful! Our waitress was also AMAZING!

    Great food at a great price. Tastefully prepared with dedicated crafting. Try the butter cake with pecans a la mode. All delicious.

    Had a very nice table on the patio. Outside fans were next to us and were so loud that we had them turned off. Our waiter was thrown off when we started with a round of cocktails and then later ordered appetizers. Okra, fried crawfish and pickles, were good but the alligator was undercooked and had several pieces with a grizzly texture that we hadn’t seen before. Entrees we’re very good, especially pasta Evangeline a with blackened redfish, and shrimp étouffée. The étouffée was only warm, not hot. Several drink orders were forgotten by waiter. An order of hot tea went unfulfilled due to the tea box lacking any type of plain black tea.

    Food was incredibly salty. We come here every time we are in town and this trip, the food was noticeably different. Very run of the mil when usually it is great. The bartender was awesome! Very nice, chatty, and attentive. He gets an A+ for sure!

    We visited Evangeline during a recent visit to New Orleans French Quarter. We had a great time, food was good, my husband wasn’t crazy about what he ordered, but maybe just poor ordering decision (salad)? The place was very packed, servers seemed a bit stressed out. The place is small and has an amazing courtyard, so sit outside if you can, seemed a bit more roomy out there. I had one of their pasta dishes and it was really good.

    New dining spot for us. Our last night in NOLA on this trip. We wanted to try something different from our usual favorites for dinner. Greetings were warm, and staff seemed glad to see us. Early reservation (5:45) made picking a table easy. We had requested a quiet table as I have a hearing problem and conversation during dinner can sometimes be difficult. We were shown to the patio area and seated a little away from other tables and the music background. They were very careful to honor our “quiet table” request. Service was attentive and efficient. Never lacked for anything. After cocktails we chose appetizers of crab cakes (lots of crab & very little breading—excellent!) and you must try their fried okra with a remoulade-like dipping sauce. Very tasty! Our entrees were two variations of redfish—one over pasta the other over greens and veggies. Nicely prepared and a little different from the usual. Quite good. We cleaned our plates. The restaurant was filling up by the time we left. We will return on our next trip.

    This is hands down the best brunch I have had in New Orleans. The ambiance, the service, the food, all of it was perfect for the vibe we were seeking. Fried Alligator French Toast- who knew that fried alligator would be great with syrup and powdered sugar? But the real star was the Catfish Benedict (not pictured)!

    I have been to New Orleans many times and never stumbled upon this restaurant. The food was amazing. The service was a bit lacking, but it seemed like perhaps the waiter was new. I would definitely come back again.

    Disappointed that outdoor dining in the courtyard wasn’t available for brunch even though it was a beautiful day. Told after we ordered that the kitchen was short staffed so multiple items on their already small brunch menu were not available. The food we did get was very good and we were happy with the quality.
