Enjoy our locally sourced ingredients at lunch, during a weekend brunch, or on a special night out with family and friends.
The service was fantastic. The food was so scrumptious and the atmosphere and sound system couldn't have been better. Highly recommend.
The young lady that greeted us was extremely professional. Our waitress was also courteous, professional and knowledgeable. The food was fresh and fantastic.
My first visit to Exile was very positive. The seating was comfortable and the ambience was pleasing. Conversation was easy and without noise disruption. Music was pleasurable even though it wasn’t my favourite kind of music. Our table had four different dishes from the menu and everybody enjoyed their meal immensely. Service was very good. Our server was very helpful in assisting with menu choices. Server was also very pleasant and friendly.
Next time we visit Exile, we plan to go for Sunday brunch. We’ve heard it’s very good and the cost is very reasonable.
Overall, our first visit was pleasant, and we plan to visit gain soon.
Always fantastic! Great food, great drinks, great service and the ambiance is second to none!
Exile is consistently excellent and very good value for money. The service is always warm and friendly. Love it fir brunch, lunch, and drinks!
Amazing atmosphere, artwork, service & value! Great food (brunch), would highly recommend!
We went for the 2019 Overcast Burger Battle, the lamb donair burger. Always have enjoyed Exile's entry as they've never been shy about trying outside-the-box taste combos. This year's entry was tasty and appealing; my only mild criticism was that the "donair" sauce tended towards the standard North American donair taste-a little bit on the sweet side. A minor quibble as all four of us enjoyed the meal.
The ambiance was good and staff were attentive but not overly friendly. The wait times were appropriate as you did not seem rushed and not left waiting endlessly. The food was very good, well presented and the menu had a excellent variety. Prices were reasonable but on the higher end.
I would recommend the Exile and would definitely go there again.
Don’t order the lamb burger! It was so spicy we couldn’t eat it and we enjoy spicy food all of the time. We are the types to lick the plate clean and never send anything back but this burger was dry and too hot to eat. When we mentioned it to the server she didn’t return for a long time then said she couldn’t take it off the bill which we didn’t ask to have happen in the first place?! The service then took a turn for the worst so we can only assume our server was lambasted (no pun intended) by the chef. She essentially avoided us after that and arrived at the table with the bill without asking if we wanted coffee, dessert etc. I have heard terrible things about this place before but kept going back after 5 previous visits because it is relaxed and plays awesome music. Hoping this was just a one off...
Fun vibe, not too loud, and a good place to grab a happy hour drink or dinner.
Food cooked to perfection! Mussels were out of this world! thanks for an enjoyable evening!
Five of the six diners were enthused. The other person felt his/her meal was average or lower.
Great place in town for friends, ambiance, and food. B
It was fine, not spectacular but ok, wait to be served was bit long and the restaurant was not busy.
Good brunch. As usual.
Only complaint was that I found the omelette to be very greasy. Couldn't eat it all. Still enjoy the restaurant overall.
My wife and I chose Exile, based on menu items we saw online. But, they weren’t on the menu when we arrived.
Luckily, there were still good options, and we had a fantastic meal.
And we were VERY glad that none of the deserts were frozen cheesecake.
The food was excellent, the service was great! If I had to look for one complaint, we were waiting to leave and had to wait too long for our bill, actually we had to ask for it. Overall, that was insignificant compared to the excellent food and service. I have already recommended Exile to 6 co-workers.
The best dinner we have had in the city. Fantastic service, excellent food, and a clean inviting environment. Our new favourite.
Fantastic menu with superb service and execution!
Great food great service!
Exile is outstanding in many ways, but the ambiance and the music are my favourite part! Enjoyment level - set to 10!
One of the city’s hidden gems, I’ve been eating there since the restaurant originally opened and would recommend for any event, lunch, brunch and dinner.
New Years Day brunch, great family day with the kids, relaxed afternoon, attentive Service!
Lovely brunch but both people at my table who ordered scrambled eggs had big pieces of in their eggs.
Anniversary and family get together
I’ve now been to Exile 5 times. Three times were good or better, but twice the food was excessively salty. My first time there, I ordered the cod dish that was on the menu at the time, and I swear I was served unrinsed salt cod. I informed the server that the fish was inedible as served and requested that she have the chef/cook sample a portion to understand what he/she was preparing. I was assured that I would not be charged for the dish, but no effort was made to rectify the problem for the future. This last time dining there, we ordered the sun dried tomato pasta with chicken substituted for shrimp due to an allergy of my sons’ as well as the steelhead trout tartare, both of which were extremely salty. At my sons’ request, we said nothing at the table, but took over 80 % of each dish home...then threw them in the garbage the next morning. Not good value when you consider the pasta was $30 plus tax and tip and the trout was $15 plus the same and we ate less than one quarter of each. Literally about $50 in the garbage and we were still hungry when we left. At least I know where to go if I’m ever seriously craving salt! Otherwise I will take my appetite and business elsewhere
Excellent food, great vibe.
The food was great, the service was great. Had moose masala and it was a huge portion. The only reason i could finish it was because it was so good. We will be back
Had dinner before a show - service was exceptional. We had all small plates. Brussels sprouts, and steak fries were the favourites.
Very good food, very comfortable seating, waitress was very nice, food was wonderful!
Absolutely one of the best restaurants in the province. Creative food with lots of fresh local ingredients. Fantastic service. Great vibe. Always a great time at Exile!
The reason I rated my meal on the low side is that it came with a mixture like poutine, ie., chips, dressing, onions & gravy but, while the fish accompaniment was hot, the stodge was cold. Poor coordination in the kitchen I suspect.
Had the moose goulash. Very good. Didn't finish it all so took it home for lunch next day. Even better. The staff are the very best anywhere!!
Small detail - I am always looking for a good salad! But that's me
mussels were great. ribs were terrible...3 large bones on my plate with no meat on them and on top of puree sweet potato that tasted like baby food and the slaw was tasteless. the plate of food looked like something from the flintstones. service was sub par and waitress forgot most of our requests. i was disappointed.
Food was excellent service was excellent great coffee too, be back soon
We found this restaurant to be absolutely fantastic. From the service to the food, everything was perfect.
We found a nugget of beautiful pulled pork in the pulled pork poutine, service great as always!
Valet parking was convenient and inexpensive. The fish tacos and the blueberry dessert were delicious. Myself and two lady friends enjoyed our lunch in a subdued and pleasing dining room. We will be back.
Friendly staff. Good menu selections for brunch. Appreciate local sourcing. Music good and not too loud to limit table conversation. Overall very pleasant dining and good value!
