Meh! Just another Mexican restaurant want-to-be. Good food, but flawed. Very good guac and salsa verde with clumpy queso and stale chips for an appetizer. Tasty sauce and well fried shell on a chimichanga stuffed with bland chicken and rice lacking zesty flavor. Very nice server taking care of handling tasty drinks was the one bright spot. Good in a pinch, but not a destination.

F&D Cantina was a happy surprise. This was a great upscale Mexican-eatery that met all my expectations. We celebrated a friend’s birthday at the “Royal” table in the back. Lighting was a bit dim (but, isn’t that what cell phone flashlights are for?) We sampled the trio of appetizers which included quac, salsa, and queso and did not disappoint. We had a variety of menu Items from the Mexican Caesar to chicken quesadillas, and enchiladas…all fresh, delicious, and plentiful. The complimentary birthday dessert of our celebrant’s choice was a chocolate caramel cheesecake served with candles…delicious and festive. Our server was attentive, friendly, and professional. The decor was cool with interesting star lighting fixtures and tasteful Mexican kitch. Would definitely return.

To be honest, I underestimated the food here. Yeah, the noise was above average(I don’t understand why people need to practically yell at each other), but overall it was a good first impression for us. We made the mistake of bringing our 5yr old with us, but we would definitely revisit for a date night. Other than that, the server was moderately attentive, we waited a bit longer than normal. Good job F&D Cantina!

Had a fantastic time celebrating three birthdays at F&D Cantina at Lake Mary. Jordan was our server and she was magnificent. Didn’t feel rushed and was able to enjoy our get together. The food was delicious. All were happy with their selections, and many had leftovers to take home.

The waitress was adorable very sweet. Unfortunately The Carne Asada Was extremely over seasoned .It’s a dish that’s not supposed to be hot and after one bite I was unable to eat anymore . It would not have been enjoyable to order something else in its place because all I could taste was the heat. I will go back and try a different dish maybe the fajitas. I’m all for spice and heat but not so much that it makes the meal unenjoyable .

This was my 2nd time here. The 1st time I thought the food was good but not awesome. Fortunately the food was better this visit. Had two martinis. Compared to other restaurants they are overpriced. Can usually get a good martini for $9-$10. Here they are $12.40! They were REALLY good but I would not order another from here again. Not worth $12.40. Also, the service was fine but not excellent. Went with a girlfriend and, after dinner, we hung out and talked for a while. Never once were we asked if we wanted fresh water. Also before dinner we were asked if we wanted chips and salsa. We said 'yes', not knowing they would cost us. Probably would've purchased anyway but it would be nice to be reminded. Also, we never said we wanted guacamole and we were charged for some. OMG...I can't believe it's $6 for a small dish of guac! I'm not sure I'll return. I feel that I can go to another local Mexican place and get much better food, service AND pricing.

Inside the restaurant is noisy, so we ate outside. Our server, Casey, was wonderful. Great personality and attentive. The margarita she recommended, made with top-shelf tequila, was the best margarita we’ve ever had. All four people in our party enjoyed their entrees.
