Fabbrica at Don Mills
The beet salad was really very good. My dinner companions enjoyed the meatball appetizer, margarita pizza, prosciutto pizza and baked rigatoni bolognese. Desserts were quite good as well. Good service too! Nice evening out.
The food was excellent , our server attentive and the overall vibe was really nice. We will definitely be going back to this restaurant.
Nice quiet evening. The atmosphere was good, as usual, but the food left a bit to be desired. We had the Caesar which was very good, but the linguine carbonara wasn’t as good as expected. The egg didn’t mix well. In any case, we still enjoy the resto - just a bit off today.
Need more of a variety in the menu
My guests and I ordered the Branzino, Lamb shank, gnocchi, parpadelle with ragu, the fritti and prosciutto pizza among other dishes. Every order came out hot and fresh. The white house wine by Vineland was a nice bottle and chilled just right. Glad we brought our end of year office gathering to Fabbrica.
Meals were great however dessert was a miss for everyone at our table.
Decided to go out to Bruch on my own. I was the first one at the restaurant and got to choose my seat. I do wish the hostess had warned there was a large party coming to the table next to me. All and all it was good food and service.
The service at Fabbrica has definitely gone downhill in the last couple of years. The hostesses are never friendly and the food is mediocre. The location is convenient which is really the only plus at this point. If you’re in the area, Joeys or any of the other restaurants at the Shops at Don Mills would be a much better option.
Arrived for a very late lunch and needed to take a call. They accommodated us in a quiet room.
Service was impeccable and all food was delicious. Started with roasted beet salad. The candied pistachios were perfect. Our mains were linguini carbonara and barramundi. Finished with Tiramisu. All delicious.
The pizza of the day was too spicy; the pasta carbonara on the other hand was nice and creamy. Overall it was a very nice lunch, great service as always.
The food was good. The service from our waiter can be improved. He was not bad or rude but didn’t give much attention to our table. He forgot to tell us about the special to begin with. He didn’t come back to offer us more drinks. We ordered a bottle of wine and would have like to have more but we had absolutely no service from him. It s the restaurant’s llost and too bad he would have earned more sales/tip.
I had the carbonara and found it to be rather bland. Would not order it again but I would try something else.
Excellent as always
The Octopus salad is incredible!
Great service and truly on point to manage a hard stop at 1pm.
I've always sat in the front room, but reco the back for a cosier experience.
Thanks for a lovely lunch!
We were greeted with the friendliest staff, despite the dismal winter weather. The cuisine was absolutely delicious. My mum and aunts enjoyed themselves immensely.
nice place , comfortable,
pizza v good
fabrica salad was like a salt lick , no godd way too salty with whatever they used
fish white good
cannoli no good the cookie part not real , re work that
service good except the minute you put ur fork down they are on you to take everything away
While the food was good, I thought it was over priced. Our wait staff has little to zero personality. Very disappointed in their dessert menu.
Even after all these years, this place is a staple. Pizza is always thin, crusty and delicious. The service is also wonderful. Love having it in the neighbourhood
Lots of flavour.
Just ok mall food. Expected better given the chef name. Service was rushed and terrible.
Had a wonderful dinner celebrating my dad's birthday. The place was not too busy. Our waiter, Curtis, was great - checking in to make sure everyone was happy with their food and keeping our wine topped up. Great service and great food.
Service was excellent from
The hostess to our waiter. Food was really good - definitely will go back
Fabulous food, ambience and service - McEwan does it right on all fronts and you always know that you are going to have an exceptional experience when dining at one of his venues.
Service and food are excellent! Noise level was overpowering making it difficult to have a conversation or hear servers!
This was our first time eating at Fabbrica and we were very impressed. Our group had pizza (some of the best we have had anywhere), gnocchi (lovely), chicken and salad (delicious) and lemon ricotta pancakes (great). The restaurant was much quieter than most which we appreciated. It was easy to carry on a conversation. Service was very good. The only negative thing was that the coffee was not very hot. Other than that, a wonderful experience and we will be back.
I love this restaurant. Never disappoints!
Great food as always, was a bit louder than usual as we were seated in the front/bar portion of the restaurant, which is not my favorite seating area. The only thing that could have been better was once we were ready to get the bill, we had a hard time flagging down the waitress. She had been attentive to our table all evening, pouring wine etc., but nowhere to be found for at least 20 minutes after we were done with our cocktails and desserts.
I had dinner with 2 friends and we shared food and enjoyed it all! The manager was very friendly and apologetic for a loud group and topped up our wine, which was much aprreciated!
We stayed for almost four hours with no pressure to leave.
Not our first time (or last) - Wedding anniversary - food was fantastic
Consistently good pizza. Good ambience to catch up with friends. Candidly, the Service could have been more attentive and perhaps friendlier.
Great spot for brunch on the weekend but dinner was disappointing.
Octopus was rubbery. Not good. Not as it should be, and not as I’ve had it here in the past. Not rushing back to Fabbrica.
Evening got off to a rough start when the second half of our party was told that there was no reservation and that they may want to go to another restaurant even though the first half of our party was welcomed and taken to our table less than 5 minutes earlier. There was a lengthy wait for our food as the restaurant was quite full. Wait staff did their best to refill glasses and keep us informed. Two of the four meals were only room temperature. The food was plentiful but unremarkable - overpriced for what it was. The women's washroom was filthy. As we got up from the table to leave we had to step over lemon slices on the floor. Seriously? I understand that sometimes details slip on a busy night but this didn't seem up to a McEwan standard. Sad as we were so looking forward to the experience --- a let down.
Bad service until we complained, then we're very attentive. Fettuccine was bland, the other food was good.
The short-rib fresh pasta was awesome. Overall very good food, but a little pricey for a biz lunch
Everything was exceptional! Staff was friendly, helpful, quick to attend to us. Their sorbet was not at the right temperature to serve so we got an extra scoop of gelato and still got to try the sorbet for free but they were quick to let us know and correct the issue. The food was delicious! High quality and fresh and it was quick to come out. They cook their pizza in a pizza oven and the crust is perfectly thin. Ambience is wonderful. Not very loud. Family friendly. All staff was great! Already recommended it to multiple people! Price is on the higher end but totally worth it!
They mixed up my order and brought chicken rather than steak
They apologized and the chicken was not bad
My wife and I each had a salad and shared a pizza. I had a 6 oz. glass of house wine and we both had a cappuccino. Our bill was $85! We found the salads very over-dressed and should have ordered dressing on the side. The pizza was more than ample and delicious. Our server was very attentive. We were told that tables were not available because they were expecting a couple of large parties (which never materialized) and consequently put in a booth near the bar that was not very comfortable. We had to ask for the music to be turned down so we could have a conversation.
