Fabbrica At Thornbury
There were four of us at the table. Mine and my husbands dinner not so good. Our friends said there’s was very good. We all had different things to eat. The veal Parmesan very underwhelming for a Renowned chef’s restaurant.
Great option for dining in Thornbury. Superb food. Good wine selection. Ambiance nice. They just need a way to figure out how to keep the cold outside when people come in.
Enjoyed our evening. Tasty pizzas and ambience was good for us and our visiting guests
Lovely night in Thornbury! Food was very nice, kitchen was a little slow but Elena (our server) made our night a great one! Mark was there which is always nice to see owners eating at there own place.
We enjoyed our evening at Fabrica Thornbury. The wine and the food were delicious. The service was attentive. It was unusual quiet as it was a snowy night and about half full. Very pleased with everything.
Excellent, overall experience.
We had a lovely meal with wine and the oyster appetizer special. The beef tenderloin was perfection and the fries crispy. I had the homemade beef sausage with fennel and tomato and enjoyed it too. The chocolate gelato had a deep intense flavour. Yum!
Had a great meal on a freezing winter night! Nice quiet atmosphere, amazing food, great value and service.
We were seated by the window and close to the entrance door on a very cold night and it was cold.
Otherwise very good
Was so keen to try This restaurant.
Had exceptation that food would be fantastic but was disappointed.
Staff was more than accommodating to replace my meal. (Which I had sent back).
Starters were good. Wouldn’t rush back .
Outstanding doesn’t cover it. It was such a fabulous group experience! Our belated staff party was thoroughly enjoyable - food, service, ambiance...start to finish perfection. Thanks to Julianna, Maggie, Derek, Chef Derek and the kitchen team. Fantastic!
Service staff marginally engaged when we first connected.
Probably use to TO crowd
Food was ok but not something that wants me to rush back soon
I was at Roots in Meaford on Friday and I walked away wanting to go back.
Hope you can work on that to achieve that experience.
Food was not up to McEwan standards unfortunately, and service was gruff
Delicious food and the staff are great.
Outstanding duck and bean dish. Mediocre tempura cauliflower dish. Great wine list.
Great restaurant, high quality food and great service. I just wish that they have plant base option on the menu. Upon asking for no meat or dairy the staff was very good and present me with a meal with my plant base requirement.
A lot of people in the area follow a plant base diet and it will be nice to have option already created on the menu so your client dont feel like a burden to the staff.
This was our second visit to the restaurant and did not disappoint. The food, service and ambiance were top notch. Can't wait to return.
Fourth time dining here in the last 2 weeks... I had the veal chop special and I've never had such a delicious meal in all my life! PERFECTION!
Such a pleasure to introduce Fabricca to my friends....
Matt, thank you for the wonderful 5 star service, everything was Fantastic! You're the BEST!
Everything was excellent. Our new favourite restaurant. Highly recommend.
Our mains, were excellent. We had the pappardalle and the duck leg. The preserved plums were a lovely addition to the duck leg that I’d never experienced before. It was very busy the night we ate here and our server was kind and attentive. Overall, a positive experience and I’d happily suggest this option to friends.
Great option given limit good dining in the area. Pizza was not hot and hutch was a bit sloppy. It was very busy but they will need to watch the details if they want to last. Service was impeccable. Warm, thoughtful and expert. We will return... if we can get in! Book early.
Back room was very cold for dinner
Salad was too big for a starter - should recco to split. Agnolotti great butvwould be nice with a warm vegetable- maybe rapini. Ziti was so so as per 16–8 yr olds. Braised beef was great. Veal Parma adequate but less the expected. Nice decor. Nice waiter
Food was great and service outstanding. Salads were so fresh and the short ribs were amazing.
All of the food we’ve had has been excellent, also our second visit. I would suggest that bread be offered with the appetizers, it’s on the menu but quite pricey. I just like a bit of bread with beef carpaccio or octopus, both amazing appetizers by the way...
My new favourite restaurant in Thornbury... Consistently good, And just a few doors from my home.. C
We enjoyed our evening. Service was excellent and food was very good. The ambiance is classy but still casual. Highly recommend coming here!
Overall pleasant but very average. Pizza was soggy but fish was delicious
First time at Fabbrica, and the rumours of a Delicious Meal was so true! Service was excellent with a super friendly staff.
We will be back......Cheers annalisa
Seating was just too close together, noise level was very high but expected with so many people. Very good food and Alana was great! Thank you, we will be back!!!!
Overpriced especially the appetizers. The salad when served had way to much dressing on it along with my main course. Other local restaurants overall are better especially a few in Collingwood when it comes to food, service and pricing.
Mark, I know you can do a better job. Good luck.
A beautiful restaurant with excellent variety in both the food and wine menu!! Fantastic service as well
As expected from successful resteraunters such as McEwan the attention to detail and well trained staff was immediately noticeable. We all found something we really liked on their imaginative menu and the execution was good. My bill for three with one adult beverage each including tip was $200. We’ll be back
We were first seated at a table with an abundance of cold air coming through a patio door. After we asked to move we were given a warmer table which was very close to all the other tables. I could have eaten off the plate of the lady seated next to me at another table. The lighting was so bad that a number of people were using the flash light on their cellphones to read the menu. Service was excellent but two of us ordered a pasta dish which turned out to be extremely spicy and this was not mentioned on the menu. Another ordered veal parmesan which was excellent and a large piece, but came with one piece of broccoli and some tomato sauce, no potatoes or other vegetables.. The fourth person ordered a beef tenderloin which he said was good and came with a massive amount of french fries. For restaurant of this calibre I find the ambiance lacking, especially due to the noise level and closeness of the tables. There was nowhere to hang coats except on the back of ones chair, and if you were on the bench seat along the wall, it had to be placed beside you. Overall the food was really good, but dishes that are spicy should be noted on the menu.
Delicious meal! Can’t wait to go back again! Loved the oysters too!
Food was unremarkable, more like bar food than haute cuisine. Service was attentive. Atmosphere could be very very noisy.
My dish was the biggest disappointment. Short rib pasta was very oily and cauliflower appetizer tasteless with the sauce tasting like president’s choice tartar sauce :(.
We will not return or recommend to our friends.
All pretty good except food was served lukewarm at best. Not expected given the reputation of the owner.
Beautiful restaurant , food and server great ….. nice spot for quiet dinner ..
A very good dining experience in the beatiful village of Thornbury.
We just celebrated our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful evening. Food was exceptional. The service was excellent which included good food recommendations and wine pairings. The menu has many interesting options.
Dinner for two with appetizers, entrees and two glasses of wine each was about $230 with tax and tip. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
Cant wait to go back!
