    We found the food was good but really there wasn’t enough of it. Came out after a burger and fries still feeling hungry. Really need to up the quantity.

    Worst brunch service I’ve ever experienced. Server brought black coffee and walked away, had to wait until she came back to ask for cream/milk. Didn’t bring our drinks until we asked after them. Saw our food waiting for over 15min before brought to table cold. We’ve had good experiences at other locations but will not return here.

    Sorry to hear of your experience. Know that it is not indicative of this place. Labor Day weekend is challenging for staffing and this sounds like you got to taste the brunt of this. Sorry again.

    We had reservations for dinner for 4, and when I booked my reservation, it was for the Oasis patio. When we got there, we were seated inside in a booth. When I asked the hostess about this, she went to check with one of her coworkers, and came back and told us that there were only tables for 2 on the patio. I should not have been able to make a reservation that was not able to be accomodated. After being seated, it took a bit more time than I would expect before our drink and food orders were taken, but it was busy in there, so not terribly unexpected. Where the service started to be subpar, was the fact that it was about 45 minutes after our drinks were served before we saw our server again, and it took over an hour to get all of our food. One of the people at our table was served their meal 10 minutes before the rest of us, which is not great dining as a group. The food was ok, not terrible, but not great for the price that you pay. My burger was dry, and the amount of cheese on there was barely even noticeable...a small sprinkle of shredded cheese. Everyone else at the table also thought the food was not as good as they would have hoped, but again, just ok. I was really hopeful that this would have been a better experience, and that I would have a new go to before a game or a show, but sadly the experience was very disappointing. We won't be returning.

    This same review was fully answered in google. The Ed Sheeran concert definitely made things challenging! I hope you reconsider and give us another try.

    The lamb entree my husband had was very good, the udon & kimchi bowl I had was OK. It was tasty but I was anticipating more vegetables - only had corn besides the kimchi. The fried chicken on it was very good. We enjoyed the patio seating. We did not realize how big the restaurant was - interesting layout. We will have to come again and try something different.

    Quieter early evening and louder as everything is in downtown Vancouver as the evening progresses. Good burger and fries and pint of beer. Not good for vegetarians or vegans. I am flexible and do eat fish in occasion. The vegetarian burger on the menu that I wanted was only on the lunch menu, not the dinner menu.

    I dont recall the server's name, but she mentioned she is from Quebec. My 3rd time here and all 3 experiences were top notch; from the service, to the quality of food. A+

    Great location and a nice building. Menu has a lot of options, and we had a table of 12 that all enjoyed their food. Would happily go again and try the other options that looked good

    What a hidden Gem!!! Walked in and was suprised by the amazing space with great energy and cute patio. Food was lovely and price point was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I am looking forward to a return trip to tryout the pool table!!!

    Upscale bar food, large multi-level patio. Decent size space with outdoor and indoor options for seating. The good news is the tasty mussels! The classic mussels with white wine garlic butter sauce were a hit. The garlic toast was lacking garlic, but  good enough to sop up the salty sauce. Too many restaurants are doing a tomato broth, we prefer the white wine version. The house salad was a pleasant mix of bitter greens with the cranberries there to offset it.  I was disappointed with the "Pork and Kimchi Dumpling, as it was just a common Pork Dumpling... with Kimchi in the middle of the plate. At least it was tasty. The "Fabel Wings" were just awful. Not crispy, over sauced and the "Hot" sauce tasted like Red Hot. I ate 3 and gave up. Service was slow but decent. The Playlist was on point though!

    The food is really solid as is the service. Unfortunately the room is a bit "meh" - seems to be the same space as it was under the prior ownership (when it was the Kingston Tap House) - so a little bit dated and a little bit dark. Would hope to get a spot on the patio next time - but it was full this particular visit. Would probably recommend it - albeit not that enthusiastically.

    The service was rushed...even when we asked for the kitchen to take their time. Caesar was very watery and was garnished with a sad piece of lime....that's it!!! I have had their Caesars before and they were great....what happended??

    Service was incredibly slow and is the reason we don't be returning. My husband was a few minutes late as he was having a hard time finding parking, but our server took the drink order for my son and me, and they came quickly. When my husband finally arrived, it took her a full 20 min to return to our table to ask if we were ready to order. Uh yes! Fable Diner & Bar is one of the participating restaurants in the Patty Pass program by Real Beef Buddies. However, when we showed our server our pass booklets, she had no clue what we were on about. Their featured burger, the Fable Bacon Cheeseburger, isn't even on the menu but she said no problem, we could definitely order bacon cheeseburgers. Not convinced we'd be getting the burger as shown on the Real Beef Buddies website (which looks absolutely amazing and is the reason we chose to go to this restaurant) we asked the guy that brought our drinks if he wouldn't mind asking our server to return as we had a question. He of course asked if he could help, saw our pass booklets and knew what the program was all about. Yay! Burgers arrived in a very reasonable time , and while they didn't look quite like the picture (halved cherry tomatoes, rather than slices), they were still pretty good. Their fries are incredible tho! Onion rings also really good (battered not breaded) as is the accompanying peanut-chipotle-mole dip. My bourbon lemonade didn't taste like much altho the pop was bottomless.

    We had a great evening. The servers were accommodating of our larger group than was indicated on our reservation. The service was very good other than one meal taking 15 minutes longer than the others. The eggplant was a little raw with the ratatouille dish for a few of our guests. All in all we enjoyed our evening and would definitely go back.

    Had a lovely dinner on the patio. Our server Phil was attentive and very helpful. The gnochi dinner special was amazing, the gnochi were pillowy and soft with a delicious sauce. Would definitely dine here again!!

    Food was good, I've eaten at other locations it's comparable. We went for beers before a concert and were surprised that the beer wasn't very cold. We thought that maybe it was the beer we were drinking but we ordered at least 5 each, everytime ordering a different one until we found one that was actually COLD. Even that one which was a Stella wasn't the temperature I would drink that at. I've drank beer all over the word and understand the concept of more flavor if not TOO cold like English Ale's etc - but this wasn't that. Very strange.

    Something was up in the kitchen. Food was missed. Some was cold instead of hot. All in all we won’t be back. Update: Heard from the management of the restaurant. They truly cared about our experience and made it right. While that night was not what we all wished for, it's important to own up and resolve, and the management did just that. True measure of a company is not when things go right, but how it's handled when it doesn't. They did right.
