Great food and good selection

Although made a reservation, still waited for 15min to get a seat. The dine out menu is confusing.

Service was amazing and the food was delicious! However the greeter/host was horrible! Put us on the wait list, which was fine, however we were told 20-25 mins, after an hour we decided to make a reservation on OpenTable and got right in. The greeter/host saw us and walked away. We had to wait for someone else to seat us. That individual was amazing! This is a great place and a must try! I am not going to let one person ruin my experience there!

We actually were going to do the Dine in Vancouver menu, but their regular menu looked good so my husband and I tried their menu. I had the burger and it was delicious and the passionfruit mimosa was good, my husband had their all day breakfast and he was not disappointed. We will definitely be back. The service was awesome too.

Overall a very good diner style restaurant. We lost sight of the restaurant and overshot while running to dinner, because it was in a heritage Lee's Building. Good history with this part of it. Diner feels a little cramp but there was enough partitions all around during Covid. For Dine Out, all 5 of the family that went to dinner chose Steak and frites and tomato soup as a starter and also the chocolate peanut butter cream with caramel in a glass container. Taste was great and did all our steaks different as I eat my almost rare and the others were 2 medium rare, medium and well-done. We had the whole gamut and they cooked it to perfection and it came with a pepper jelly sauce and that was tasty. The fries were crispy, a little on the salty side but still good! Tomato soup with a drizzle of herb oil was creamy and tasty like tomatoes and cream should be, not can-like at all! Overall food is great and I just found out that they have been featured on Guy Fieri's Diners and at least one other food show! Great little place!

Amazing food! We absolutely loved the chocolate peanut butter milkshake and their passion fruit mimosas. The feature of the day was a pulled pork eggs Benny and we also ordered the Roasted Duck Pancake. Both were amazing dishes and would order them again!

Great, casual up-scale diner feel. And they made my pre-teen daughter feel special for her birthday with balloons and a special birthday sundae.

This is not the average diner! One could call it diner chic; the menu has what can be expected, but often with a unique twist. The food was delicious. Also, the cocktails were great. As with the food, the classics, but with an innovative twist. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely return.

First time to Fable after reading reviews and looking for something on our way to South Granville. The Prohibition Brunch was on. Amazing value and food! We selected the Duck Pancakes and the feature Benny. So so good! We will definitely be back!!

It was our first time visiting fable diner. The atmosphere is so relaxing and welcoming as well as the staff. I loved the positive vibe in the restaurant. The food was delicious beyond what we had expected would definitely return back to this place for brunch.

We've always had good experiences bringing our little one for brunch at Fable. Food comes out quickly so we can eat and get out before kiddo becomes restless!

Good diner feel and excellent bar. They have brunch every day and all day if that's your thing. We had the duck pancakes which were great and the Broadway burger. The cocktails were fresh.

Friendly and attentive staffs, good value for the brunch menu (you definitely get more food than you can finish). Milkshakes were really good, and not too sweet.

The only thing is that the potatoes were a little too salty for my taste.

We’ve walked by Fable for years and decided to try it this week. It was way better than we expected. The service was excellent. The food was fantastic (the mixed berry pie was amazing). The ambience was excellent. We had a fantastic time.

Lots of tables were available and we were sat between the two bars and where servers get their items for customers. We could see the kitchen and the tense interactions between the staff.

Food was great, but the ambiance was left to be desired based on where we sat.

In this day and age, going out is so limited and customers should be provided with better experiences, felt the experience was matter of fact.

Lovely dinner

Our server was very polite and attentive. It was her third day working there and I was impressed with how she was able to answer all our questions quickly and correctly. I loved that we were able to make a reservation online. Made the visit that much more enjoyable to know there was a seat ready and waiting for us.

Quiet diner that I’ve been meaning to try and finally got the chance! Tasty, pretty food, hipster. Loved being able to have breakfast items for dinner! Great selection of menu items, even for my picky kids! The Vanilla Banana milkshake is a must-try, the cornflakes surprisingly made it extra yummy! large enough serving for 2 to share. Very casual and relaxed, quiet. Would come again.

Always a great experience, excellent fresh creative food, friendly and engaging staff - like the Prohibition weekend meals and appreciate the gift of jam! All good, our favourite spot.

It’s a modern looking, spacious dinner located in the Mount Pleasant area. Food was interesting and creative, although it may not be for everyone (eg. Duck breast with kimchi on a pancake). It was a bit too salty for my liking though. My server was a super cheerful lady. I really like their weekend brunch. You get your main dish, a baked treat, a biscotti, tea (or coffee), AND another drink for only $25.

We went for the prohibition brunch - delicious, huge meal, excellent value. Will definitely be going again.

The choice of "Mains" is limited, likely due to Covid19, though. Ice cream is available by itself (not many places offer that!).

Pulled pork sandwich on a bun comes with lots of fries.

COVID times makes everything seem strange. Service was good but, with limited staff, not up to what I expect here. The food is always great. Comfort food through and through along with the best milk shakes.

Everything was perfect! Try their rösti and thick cut bacon for breakfast.

The Prohibition Brunch is definitely worth the money - $25 for Coffee/tea + Pastry + Main + Sweet Treat + alcoholic/non-alcoholic drink. But, make a reservation ahead of time so you won't be turned away

The specials were offered and then we were told they weren’t available! My husband and daughter enjoyed their dishes, but mine was just alright.

Excellent - our favourite breakfast spot - creatively interpreted breakfast entrees, delicious, excellent quality and very very good. Energy at the diner was up and friendly, very good COVID precautions. All around great food in an interesting and welcoming environment.

The weekend Prohibition Brunch is so worth it! Great drinks and milkshakes! My fave is the duck pancakes!
