Fado Irish Pub - Annapolis
We participate in Restaurant Week. Tried lots of dishes. Delish @
The only drawback to Fado is that the noise level is quite high making conversation difficult. The food we ordered came promptly and was very good. All four of us enjoyed our dishes. We ate from the appetizer menu which was great. Our server, Liz, was very good. As I said, the noise level, which was just from the music (not live) playing while we were there. It could easily have been turned down a notch or two.
Beer, food and service were very good. Customers at adjacent tables were very vocal in their enjoyment of college football games on TV, which made conversation difficult.
Went on a whim, haven't been to Annapolis in ages. My wife an I had a fantastic time, just made it before happy hour ended and the staff was great with getting our order in in time. Food was delicious and the wait staff awesome.
So loud I couldn't hear the person sitting across from me. This was during happy-hour. The noise calmed down a "little" after happy-hour.
This experience at Fado was not good, as previous occasions were good. The restaurant was completely understaffed. Three servers for the inside and outside diners could not handle the crowd, and was not fair to them or the diners. We had to find our server and ask her to come back to the table for refills and dessert order. Next special occasion dinner we will not choose Fado.
We had the Irish an American breakfast both were delish
The cheddar bread i wasnt a fan of, it is cold mot warm but EVERYTHING else was great
This is a very Irish pub with authentic feel and great food. My Fish and Chips were best in the whole area - lightly breaded, cooked perfectly and ample. Chips were large and tasty. corned beef and cabbage likewise excellent and well presented. Try their flatbreads. My spouse had one for a main course. Beer is excellent of course and wines are also excellent and fairly priced
Service was great and we loved the black bean burgers. They also have great salads. It is great to find a place that has tasty vegan options.
Ate outside and listened to the guitarist. Food was ok but the brownie with Guinness ice cream was well worth the visit. Will go back just for the dessert.
Food was good, drinks were weak. Nice waitress but one of our party(5) didn’t get dinner until everybody else was finished. Going to show and we were a little late. Very loud.
Staff went out of their way to support my group, provide excellent service, make us feel welcome and generally create an atmosphere that made the evening memorable. Food was excellent, menu varied, drinks generously poured, and room spacious.
We had a great time here! The outside patio is perfect for summer dining! The hummus was a bit oily. The salad a bit bland (needed some fresh herbs and spices!). The black bean burger was really fantastic though. As always we appreciate any and all whole-food plant based options!
I will start by saying it was probably a bad idea for us to bring a business lunch to Fado during World Cup soccer. But our meetings were at the Westin across the street and the Irish pub was very conveniently close. The noise level was very high as a soccer game was just finishing. When the game ended it did get a little bit quieter but was still a noisy, energetic environment. The food was quite decent and we were even able to get breakfast for lunch as on Saturdays and Sundays they serve breakfast until 2 PM. one thing I was very disappointed in is the lack of cleanliness. The floors, tables and menus were all very sticky. The bathrooms were utterly disgusting. As a woman walking into the bathroom in business dress, I almost walked out and went back across the street to use the bathroom at the Westin. The floors were dirty, the sinks were dirty and there was a disgusting ring around the toilet. I think the toilets in the college bars are cleaner than these.
Fado was a fun place with great food! Try the Southern Comfort pimento cheese dip for a wonderfully different appetizer! The portions were huge and the price was right. Happy hour beers at a great price and the service was fantastic. Great for groups!
This was a great Father’s Day brunch venue for our family; I recommend it!
In town visiting family.. great place for food, beer and conversation! The kale salad was excellent..
Excellent food in a very nice Irish Pub setting.
I love the food here. And the brunch is great. It was Mother’s Day and yet we were never rushed, always great service and everyone had a great time. It’s a little noisy but we didn’t want or need quiet. One of the reasons we went there was because we are noisy ourselves. The Fado Bloody Mary is really tasty.
i party of 20+ came in about 15mins after we got there and they put one waitress on the party. it was our waitress. service was abysmal afterwards.
food was average
probably will not return
it’s really more bar than restaurant
Ate outside on the first pretty day of the season. Menu is a little less cluttered than in the past but the very good options have remained. Emphasis on Irish themes but with tip of the hat to Latin, etc. I had the Boxty Quesadilla and others had scallops or lamb. All excellent. Good value. Wasn't our first visit and defiintely won't be our last.
Great restaurant with a good vibe. Service was quick and friendly. Saw different items on menu to go back for.
We really enjoyed our brunch. The food was excellent and the service was great. Highly recommend going to Fado for Sunday brunch.
Twice they didn't have my reservation from Open Table, offered an appetizer second time, won't use Open Table there again.
It turned out we came on the evening of a special event. They proactively seated us away from the event and we had a great meal. The noise did start to pick up, just as we were getting ready to leave.
We had the Farmhouse Salad and Corn beef hash. Everything was amazing as always. In the past we’ve had the fish tacos never a thing wrong with them. Everything is always great!
We have been looking to come to Fado for a long time having passed by it on West St. Inside, The bar/ restaurant is a very authentic looking Irish pub.(right down to the Jameson display behind glass). Handsome bar, Very cozy fireplace seating and attractive booths. We ordered the Guiness wings (excellent flavor) and the jumbo pretzel (cheese sauce to die for). For dinner we both had the fish and chips. The fish was lightly coated, fresh and juicy. I would say perfectly prepared. The thin cut chips were also good. We went for happy hour and the drinks were discounted. Beer and wine, no shockers about the price. Now the only con I can say is that there seems to be a skeleton staff of sorts. There is no-one to greet you and we kind of wandered in and found ourselves a table (so a reservation on Thursday night was not needed, the waitress did come over right away and took our drink order) It was pretty empty when the live music was setting up to start at 8pm which is when we were finishing up.
New Year’s Eve 3 course meal was amazing!
Delicious food, especially the hamburgers, and fun atmosphere. Service was a little slow but they were busy that night. It is a great place to gather a large group. They have a nice table for 8 that is out of the way and very comfortable.
A real Irish pub here in Annapolis! Expect good beer and sandwiches and the half portion of fish and chips is just about right for many folks. It is excellent F&C by the way! This is a great spot for pub fans and they show the weekend European football (soccer) games in the mornings ( with Guiness if you want!)
This is one of our favorite restaurants for Fish and Chips. My wife has me take her there as often as possibly. Just be careful to avoid soccer matches if you are not a soccer fan. It can be a little loud.
Excellent version of the old standby fish and chips.
Love that it is very pet friendly. We went on Labor Day weekend and they needed more than one waitress for outside dining.
We come here for the corn beef and dumplings. FABULOUS! Loving sitting outside on Thursday nights listening to music with our doggy (doggie bowls everywhere!)
The location was convenient and the food was great. We had Guinness and Shepherds Pie. Both outstanding. Their tea prep was authentic.
Great Irish fare and the service was great.
Upscale "pub" with friendly and attentive wait staff. Everything we ordered was good, including traditional Irish fare and updated classics. The draft beer list includes Irish beers in addition to American standards. Solid performance!
The service was great. The atmosphere was very nice, but the music was way too loud for the dinner crowd. We sat near the door and every time it opened a cold breeze hit us. My husband got the corned beef with potato dumplings. I tasted his and got order envy. I'll get that next time. My sandwich was good. My daughter loved the kids cheeseburgers! We enjoyed the Irish cream cheesecake very much. The waitress was nice enough to accommodate us with a side of Guinness ice cream which was also good.
Always a good experience at Fado! Thank you for accommodating a large group on short notice!
