   Fabulous, flavourful, food!! The halloumi, artichoke salad, and lamb sharing platter were our favourites. A wonderful touch for our server to bring us complimentary baklava in honour of the occasion we were celebrating. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for years and only sorry that it took us so long to do it. A wonderful dining experience!

   Food wasn’t as good as I was expecting. Last time I visited your Somerset location was really impressed. Brought friends here raving about the food and it was just okay. Overpriced for what we got in my opinion.

    The most despicable, appalling, and horrendous service I have received at a restaurant in a very long time. It completely ruined our Mother's Day celebration. So much to say, but I'll keep it brief: 1) No one attends to us until 45min after seating, and this is after asking twice to get some water or drinks 2) Water was never topped up during the 2.5 hours we were stuck there after repeatedly asking. 3) Food took forever; we never got our appetizers until 90 minutes after seating. 4) Over 2 hours have passed, and still no main course or any update from any staff member, at which point I kindly request to settle the bill and walk out. Somehow 2 min later, the food magically arrived, but the damage had been done. The manager adjusted our bill, which I would accept as an apology under normal circumstances, but this doesn't cut it. Even a free meal wouldn't. No monetary compensation can compensate for wasting time driving into the city to celebrate Mother's Day. Oh, the food quality, ya, it's good. Still, I won't return as I value the minutes of my life rather than sit around starving and dehydrated in a restaurant that does not value its customers. Fairouz Cafe staff and management should be ashamed of themselves for how they treated me and other customers that I also overhead complaints from. Service

    While we had reserved the table in advance and showed on-time, we were sitting on the table for more than 20 min and no one came to us to take our order or even take care of us! Food was excellent though.

    The food was absolutely phenomenal. Amazing how the small plates fill you up I could not pick a favourite everything was delicious. Quick service considering the patios were full! Only minor complaint is it was insanely dark inside would have appreciated a bit more light considering it was beautiful sunny evening.

    The food was amazing and service was superb. I took my partner here to celebrate his birthday and our server/bartender Felix went out of his way to help us celebrate. He was attentive and made our night that much better. We will definitely be back.

    Bien commencé avec une entrée originale et délicieuse. Pour le poisson, on nous annonce deux plats car les poissons semblent petits. Le deuxième plat n'est jamais arrivé. La commande de boisson ne fut pas prise. Il a fallu insister. La facture du dessert était incorrecte mais la jeune femme ne voulait pas l'admettre. Donc un repas correct mais un mauvais service. Dernier point, personne pour dire un seul mot de français à quelques km du Québec !

    Fairouz is one of my favorite restaurants in Ottawa. Its unique cuisine stands out. I do have one bit of constructive criticism. The new menu I discovered in May 2023 "imposes" sharing main dishes, which I think is going a step too far. It would be more appealing to have a least some options for solo consumption, as you used to have.

    We did the Sofra tasting menu and some of the food was outstanding but some we didn’t finish. Some of the dishes tasted over smoked or had too many bones left in to enjoy! Overall though our experience was great. Would definitely go again and order differently

    Unfortunately the restaurant decided to staff entirely with new staff the day we attended and as a result service was exceptionally slow. The owners need to do a better job of ensuring there is a mixture of new and experienced to prevent this delay

    Food and taste was very good. Service was quite slow and it seemed that the kitchen wasn`t following. It took an hour to get one main dish to share. Also it was really expensive for what you got: 65 dollars for a large chicken breast with a bit of taboulé and a few roasted vegetables is pushing it. This was not a dish for two people. It is not worth that. I was quite disappointed for my mother's birthday dinner.

    Beautiful restaurant with delicious variety of dishes. Fresh-made pitas are amazing. The labneh and brussels sprouts in particular are fantastic. Cocktails are creative. Service is very good. Menu prices are a bit higher than I am used to but the quality is good and portions are larger than they look - we had more leftovers than anticipated. Reservations recommended as it is usually busy, especially on weekends.

    We had an exceptional time at Fairouz. Our server was kind and deeply knowledgeable about the menu. When we advised the server we were fasting, he asked us if we would like dates and even had our food timed to come out at sunset. The meal was delicious and rich. A fantastic way to celebrate an anniversary.

    Great ambience. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing and helpful in helping me make my selections. He even offered to turn up the lights so I could read my book more easily. Service was prompt. Fantastic flavours and the pita is made fresh to order. The grilled halloumi was exceptional with its deconstructed sweet potato casserole inspired seasonal accompaniments. I'm glad I acted on a colleague's recommendation to come here while I was in town. Thanks for a lovely experience!
