   It was one if our best experiences ever. The food and Mezze we ordered were perfect. The staff were professional, polite, and knowledgeable about the menu. We were there for my wife’s birthday, and after our meal, they brought here a dish with a candle and happy birthday on it. I cannot even think of anything bothering us or unpleasant. I 100% recommend this place.

   Very yummy food. Very good service. The feast is the way to go. Lamb was delicious. Would definitely come back. Ask to sit on the back patio.

   Lovely interior with indoor & outdoor dining available. Our server was knowledgeable & gracious. The place was quite full & everyone seemed relaxed & happy. The food overall is good. I would go back again.

   We had such high hopes, and invited a high profile guest based on our experience at the Somerset location. What a disappointment (and embarrassment). Soggy fattoush, flavourless sawdust-like kibbeh, and unhappy hosts and servers make this experience far from any Lebanese (or any really) cuisine or hospitality.

   Muhammara starter was good but didn't need extra pita we were encouraged to order. Fattouche salad was a disappointment. Romaine was discolored and not fresh, salad was generally tasteless. Draft Cider was only passable. Not sure I'd return.

    We went to fairouz for my boyfriends birthday. The beef flatbread was a great app. We got the squash and chicken plates as mains. Overall very good. It was a little loud from other Guests even on the patio

    Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The food was average, nothing at all to get excited about. The service was unfocused and amateurish. We would not recommend this restaurant if no changes are made.

    Wonderful dinner, we had the Fairouz Feast for 4 and it was a generous portion for everyone. The service was very good, including a great wine recommendation, and we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Lovely ambience on the patio on a warm spring evening!

    We had the Fairpuz feast. It was fabulous. Post Covid issues like staffing shortage was evident with delays in service and the time it took for the food to arrive. However the staff were very nice and the food was superb

    Great first experience at Fairouz cafe. The food was fresh and tasty, the service was very professional and thoughtfull, and we liked the ambience of the restaurant. It is ideally situated in the Byward Market in Ottawa. THe best shish Taouk we ever tasted! We will be back, no doubt!

    The environment was pleasant but drafty and I kept my coat on. The service was impeccable and friendly and the food was well presented. Although the food was good, it was overly salty. Not sure what happened but it definitely marred the experience.

    I generally enjoyed being back at Fairouz after 2 years and in their new digs. Found the old place more intimate/authentic though (perhaps the back room is better??). Server super nice and get all good, but a few things disappointed me: wine recommendation was based on what they want to sale (same recommendation made to us 2 yea ago!!), not our taste; no offer to bring a clean dish between courses; left over dips (we ordered too much food) was put into one box and all got mixed up; not telling us veggies came with the lamb dish (dinner menu says ‘meat’, does not state veggies and we remembers being served only meat before) despite me saying ‘oh, we need veggies’ and proceeded to order coliflowers, which also came with lamb!!! (Different prep though)
