A real Ottawa gem! I travel to Ottawa on occasion and make sure I dine here at least once on every visit. Creative, reliably delicious and in a great atmosphere with great staff. It would be tough to ask for anything more.
The whole experience was very good. Nice ambiance, our waiter was excellent, very professional. Found the food a little expensive for what it was but overall it was a very good time.
Fabulous food. Celiac friendly options. Taste and presentation were superb!
This restaurant served excellent food. However, the noise level was so ridiculously high that we could not enjoy a conversation. My husband tuned out. Very disappointed. There is an easy fix - try to make it a classy place instead of a party place.
My friend and I had a wonderful meal. I love middle eastern flavours and each dish was unique and beautifully presented, as well as being delicious. I will gladly return.
Enjoyed a great first experience! The service staff was outstanding very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Table was comfortable and spacious. Like many restaurants today its on the noisier side especially if there are larger tables. Wine list was interesting and had a no opportunity to try an outstanding wine from the Cannery Islands - a first. A wonderful experience.
Food and service was very good. My table was situated at the back of the restaurant near the bar and the kitchen. As a result it was quite noisy.
Great service at Fairouz and beautiful plating. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly.
I was slightly disappointed by the very limited wine options by the glass but the overall quality of the food was excellent.
My husband and I had dinner at Fairouz a couple of days ago and we really enjoyed our evening there.
The food was awesome and our server was very considerate. We‘ll definitely come again!
The service was great, all staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable on the menu and helpful. The food was excellent, everything was flavourful and cooked to perfection. The ambience was warm, inviting and conducive to good conversation and the decor was also beautiful. The only downside was that the portions were a bit small but otherwise it was a wonderful experience.
Me and my wife had a birthday dinner there. The food was fantastic. We are originally from middle Asia and can tell we felt like home. The music was quite and pleasant. Overall Fairouz is a on the middle-price level but the service was definitely better that all higher end places we’ve been to.
Server guided us through the menu very informatively. Food was very tasty and proportioned very well. Cocktails were excellent and the wine very good.
Love, love this place with its delicious and creative food...if you like flavours, that’s the place!
This is by far the best food I have had in a restaurant in Ottawa after a long long time. Our server “Taylor” was so sweet and knowledgeable that made our experience smooth and memorable. The food was exquisite and perfect. A fantastic place for date and romantic evening. Gets a bit noisy though would prefer if the noise level was a bit moderated. Other than that everything else was perfect.
Excellent meal but the last moments were spoiled by a heavy wine deposit at the bottom of my glass. When I showed the glass to the waitress she said that all bottles had a deposit. Not so but nevertheless the deposit should have been kept in the bottle! They kindly offered to pour a glass from a new bottle but the meal was over with that last mouthful of deposit.
A Taste experience. Everything I hoped for
It was our first time there and would go back for sure if in the Ottawa area. Went on a Sunday night so had the small plates - great experience.
Food and service were excellent, sadly the table beside us was sometimes so loud it was hard to carry on a conversation. Some people have no manners, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault.
Each dish was all a revelation. The only issue was that everything was always a bit too salty.
Wonderful experience. Food was great service amazing. Nice selection for everyone - food options, drinks, even take out ice cream!
Perfect in all ways. Delicious food, great service. Recommend +++++.
Love the place and food! I am a big fan of Lebanese food and this more modern/fusion twist to it is fabulous :). Going back in 2 weeks and can’t wait!
We had an excellent dinner at Fairouz! The atmosphere was cozy, service attentive, and food perfectly cooked, spiced, and presented!
Had a fantastic dinner with 3 friends, some from out of town. Taylor was a fantastic server and the rest of the service staff were amazing from the moment that we walked through the door! Very welcoming and helpful. We went with the Sofra menu, letting Chef take control of our options and we were not disappointed! A great quantity and variety of food, showcasing Chef's talents and the local products that they source.
Fairouz once again delivered a unique and elevated fine dining experience. We chose to have the kitchen curate our experience and they did a tremendous job. Service was on point starting with arak mixed table side. Then we were served some dips to start. Fennel and tahini like hummus in texture but with a delightful flavour of fennel, zaatar, and pickled chilies, Muhammara- chopped walnuts mixed with pomegranates - and warm olives dipped in spices, super delicious. Round 2 consisted of savoury katayef, a pancake filled with halloumi cheese and herbs, served with sweet harissa (highlight of the night) and cauliflower topped with tahini and pomegranates. The main course was a mix of grilled meats, chicken was tender and the skin was crispy, lamb kafta was juicy and perfectly cooked, shish kabobs were also delicious. The grilled meats were served alongside a salad of tomatoes, cucumber, and onions finely chopped and mixed with a pomegranate vinaigrette, house made lavash, parsley, pickles, pickled onions, and puréed red peppers and eggplant. Throughout the meal, we were served fresh, warm, delicious pita bread baked in house. Doesn’t get better than that. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique middle eastern culinary experience.
Amazing food and service.
Wonderful experience! Service from Taylor was outstanding. Thank you for another great dining experience.
We were very impressed by the food - very delicately spiced and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent - a very knowledgeable server who took extremely good care of us. The noise level was comparable to that of other similar restaurants, but it was decidedly noisy, particularly early in the evening. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience and I would not hesitate to recommend Fairouz to friends.
Awesome food and experience. Excellent sevice. Will go back!
Delicious meal, and one of the best dining experiences in Ottawa
Great meal. Freash and exciting. A nice break from the French bistro taking over everywhere.
We have been to fairluz before and had a great experience. This time however, the food was disappointing ring and over spiced. Although the food was edible...there is the price we are paying for to consider as well. I am willing to give the restaurant one more chance because of my previous experiences, however the other at our table who it was their first time were not terribly enthused
This is my new favorite dining experience in Ottawa. I tell everyone who lives food, they must go!
Everything was spectacular - the food, the service!
My husband and I loved our food choices - all Lebanese/Turkish dishes. They included fennel and tahini dip with pita, fried cauliflower, and lamb and beef entrees. And we enjoyed the wines that we selected as well. We both felt the food and wines were pricey for the quantity. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our experience and would recommend Fairouz to others.
Lovely restaurant. The atmosphere is great as the restaurant is quaint in decor and size.
This is food you can't make yourself w each bite a wow experience. Wait staff knowledgable & helpful.
Portions were very small for the price. We were charged $3 for Sparkling water from a carafe (ie not very sparkling). The wine portions were very small (I would be very surprised if there was 4 oz in the glass) and at $15 per glass were grossly over priced. Although the food was good and innovative, I would not go back to this restaurant.
Dinner was great! Atmosphere is very nice. While attentive most of the evening, it took longer than expected to get our check at the end of dinner and we were in a hurry so that could have been better but overall great dining experience.
