   Overall it was a great experience to have it once. Ambience was out of this world. Food was ok, they have too many desserts. I wish they would have more savory items than sweet. It was an overload of sugar!! Basically we are paying for the ambience. As I said definitely worth going there once for the experience!!

   We had afternoon tea at 1:15 pm on a Sunday. Staff was great. The location, decor, and table setting were beautiful. Food was good but not amazing. Preferred two less desserts and two more savory offerings.

   A lovely view and time had but my daughter and I. We are staying in hotel. Never like boxing up my own food after a meal - seems so pedestrian after a classy event - but we couldn’t get through most of all the sweets. Unfortunately, we left the table and forgot bring them. Returned 10mins later to have found them “chucked”. Odd, since we booked online, they would have known who we were and could have easily added our name to the box as it was likely that we would return for them as soon as we realized we’d left them behind. That was about $50 in sweets by rough estimation. The disappointment was palpable. Anything that can be done? We are checking out within the hour to return to Calgary and flights home. All in all a stellar visit to Fairmont Lake Louise!

   I dined at the Fairview twice during my stay at the Fairmont Chateau - once for the afternoon tea, and later that evening for dinner. Both experiences were pretty lackluster and not really up to par with the standards of a grand hotel or our (incredibly positive) experience with the rest of the hotel's service and amenities. During tea, our snack tower was brought out with the lobster (after being told it would not be as I made it clear three separate times to multiple staff members that I have a shellfish allergy); the server was very apologetic but as anyone with an allergy knows, a mistake like that is very disconcerting. Then later at dinner, I had a mild allergic reaction to my appetizer despite being told upon ordering and after receiving it - then asking the server to confirm with the chef - that there was no shellfish (I'm not allergic to anything else); considering my early experience I didn't feel too confident in their assurances. My foie gras was undercooked and didn't have very good flavour - disappointing considering how much I enjoyed the foie gras at Fairmont's Vermillion Room, located in Chateau's sister resort Banff Springs the night before. The service wasn't poor, but it also wasn't on the same level as the rest of the hotel nor the other Fairmont restaurants we visited during our vacation (notably the Vermillion, Rundle Room, Louiza, and Hawthorne at the Palliser in Calgary). Considering the price point and location, I expected way more and both my company and I left dissatisfied.

   The Fairview Bar & Restaurant provided a fabulous afternoon tea with an amazing view of Lake Louise. They were very accommodating with our seafood allergy and switched out dishes with other options from the vegetarian menu. The Icewine tea was the perfect sweet tea to pair with the scones, sandwich’s and desserts. I would highly recommend the afternoon tea here!

   We had an afternoon tea and it was great fun. Sonya was our server and she made the experience so much more fun with helping us pick our teas and learning how to "enjoy" the experience. The views of Lake Louise are spectacular. Try it you'll like it!

    It was our anniversary so we went for high tea. It was expensive but we’ll worth it. We loved every minute of it. We were hoping for a window seat so we could enjoy the view but they were taken. Would recommend booking for right when it opens if you want a window seat.

    An experience you must make a point of trying. Simply elegant. The quality of the food offerings were exceptional. The best view of the lake and mountains! Tea for two...intimate and special. This turned out to be a Mother-daughter tradition that we wanted to start. This was a very warm and tasty way to wrap up a ski vacation.

    We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and reserved for the High Tea experience a month ago. We left today very disappointed, the ambience and the view are fantastic, but that was all what was enjoyable about the experience. The birthday celebration was not even acknowledged. The server was not very pleasant. The amount of food that was on the plates was not enough for the price, being a bite size au devours that were dry and not very tasty. The whole thing felt more like a tourist trap.

    Thought it would be a fun experience to take a break from the winter weather and do afternoon tea here. Knew it would be pricey with it being the Fairmont and being right on Lake Louise but figured the food quality would be pretty good. Wrong — the food was so forgettable it was disappointing. The scones were tiny, the savory “sandwiches” were so tiny and dry, and the desserts were meh. The views are beautiful of the lake, of course, and the service was 5 stars, but $75 a person for what you get is so disappointing. I would skip the afternoon tea and just get cocktails next time.

    What a day! My husband and I are visiting from Ontario. My family live in Calgary, so we took my brother for high tea at the Fairmont for his belated Christmas gift. Lovely choices, especially since I'm dairy free and my brother is gluten free. We went for a hike to the Fairview lookout afterwords. A very special treat indeed!

    The setting was stunning! We came for the afternoon tea, which was very tasty. However the sandwiches and cakes that came with it were very mediocre. A bit disappointing for the price point!

    Very empty on a Friday afternoon, which was amazing as we had our choice of a seat by the window. Staff were very kind and explained the teas and finger foods in detail. Would definitely come back again.

    Afternoon tea at the Fairmont Lake Louise did not disappoint. Excellent service, amazing views, and delicious treats. My only constructive criticism might be that some of the cakes and savory items tasted/felt as if they might have been a day or two old. I’d still go back and recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Fairmont.

    If going for tea, go early, because it appears their food is all prepared in the morning and left out. We had a 2:30 seating — the breads were soggy and cakes were stuck to the plate. Expected better

    Great location for a lovely day out. The atmosphere is perfect - you can have a conversation without having to shout. The staff were super attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Fantastic food. Kudos to the front desk for managing the expectations of the 50 people all asking for a window seat… she did a fantastic job 😃 and couldn’t be easy. Will be back again soon!!!

    We had a delightful experience for afternoon tea. The menu was overall great, aside from a couple of delicacies that we weren’t fans of but overall delicious. The ambience is a little on the noisier level but it’s also a busy time. Our server was so nice, and the tea was so flavourful. It can be pricey but if it’s an overall great experience and the view is amazing.

    Our experience here is not one we will forget. We had gotten engaged that day and when the staff found out we were placed in a spectacular spot by a big window. The view of the frozen lake and the mountains is breath taking. Our server Sonja was a delight and made sure that we had a truly great experience. The high tea was yummy and had a great variety and they also gave us a ‘to go’ box for anything we couldn’t finish. It was definitely a splurge but one of our highlights at Lake Louise.

    We really enjoyed our experience of the High Tea at the Fairview. We had a beautiful view of the lake which added to the experience. We loved the relaxed feel of this restaurant and our waitress was delightful. When dealing with us her whole focus was on us and was interested in what we had to say. She was truly professional. The food was delicious. I felt that for the savouries there could have been a couple of little sandwiches. A lovely and memorable experience.
