    Showed up for our booking to find the restaurant closed. It would have been nice if they could have contacted us to let us know. Really poor service. Thankfully the Killin Hotel was open and we had a lovely meal there instead.

    Amazing food and portion sizes! Lovely little restaurant. Our young man and lady of waiters/waitress was very helpful and seemed to have a big work load. However the older waitress was very rude, refused to serve our table and seemed like she wasn't interested in her job. Would of been nice to get a polite response.

    Had lunch here on Saturday afternoon, the bar area was busy with locals and tourists alike. Food was served quickly and by a friendly waitress. Good variety on the menu, would recommend.

    Food was tasty but found it really expensive, but expected it being in a touristy spot. Place could have been cleaner, cobwebs on light fixtures and place Matt dirty. Service was really friendly but did not check if food was ok or if needed other drinks. Tried to get staffs attention several times for bill but had to go up-to them to ask. Overall was ok but wouldn’t go again.

    Visiting Killin on a business trip with colleagues and booked to have dinner. There is a lovely atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. The staff were very nice and attentive but seemed under pressure as was quite busy. We were somewhat let down by the food which was overcooked for three of our five main meals (veggie option was great). Overall our experience was fine but would have been great if food better.

    Had the fish special which was an overcooked small fillet of seabream. The vegetables were good. My husband had the chicken special which was tough and overcooked. The staff were friendly. staff friendly. The starter of a shared plate of salmon was very good. Nice, busy atmosphere.

    Cute little pub that’s very cosy. Lovely atmosphere with great food. We were left a while before our order was taken but other than that service was great and we would come back again.

    The servings are quite large so we shared a pasta dish, and soup, and dessert and left satisfied and happy. The place is quite charming and the staff were fun to interact with. If we were there longer we’d have gone back again for dinner.

    Fantastic setting, food was excellent, however due to lack of staffing and perhaps inexperience of the staff there the service falls behind the ambience and quality of food. We had finished starters before the drinks order arrived, in fact we had to go ask for it. An attempt was made to clear the starter plates whilst one of the party were still eating. When attempting to order coffee and one ice cream we again had to approach staff only to be told sorry you’ll just have to wait till we have time!! As I said great setting and great food just a pity about the service!! :-)

    Starters and mains especially from the associated smokehouse were excellent. Others were more standard pub fare. Given the beautiful location right opposite the falls the interior could do with an upgrade to be more comfortable. Service a little patchy, started by putting us on two tables even though we had reserved for 7 two weeks in advance, but finally they worked to find a solution.

    DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This is an overpriced hotel, using their location to their advantage. The room where we ate was scruffy - there were crumbs on the side left over from the breakfast and the service was slow. I ordered an aubergine burger - which was a pile of vegetables in a bun for £15. It probably cost all of £2 to make. I fed back my disappointment to the staff who just looked surprised and didn't offer anything else. It was also scruffy outside where there are cigarette ends, crisps etc left. There appeared to be a lot of staff but obviously they don't focus on keeping the hotel clean either inside or outside. I wouldn't eat here again as they just focus on the tourist trade, rushing people through and charging an inflated price. Im sure there are much better places to eat in the town. Extremely disappointed with our meal.

    Rooms are gorgeous , location is fabulous , right at the falls. Bar is authentic & charming. Food was good , but a bigger choice at breakfast would be nice, altho the brekkie good. Would stay there again

    The food was pretty good. Service was decent, we had to order at the bar to sit outside. They were accommodating to our dietary needs which was nice. Inside ambiance was not great, so sit outside if you can!

    I ordered langoustines which were served in a herb butter. The herb butter did not taste that great to be honest. The other parts of the meal were fine though

    We were seated and it took a while for us to get our drinks. They forgot my husbands beer and my mums apple juice was waiting on the counter for about 15 minutes at the bar with people ordering drinks over it. The mushroom risotto was absolutely disgusting. Risotto undercooked and the mushrooms were still hard. The burger and chips are just from frozen. Service staff bringing our starters when they should have been bought out as mains. Really not nice.

    Deliciously light and airy fish n chips. Come to this restaurant for pub-menu favorites, and a simple and tasty dinner. Stay for the adorable pub and amazing location. Highly recommend for a road side lunch or dinner. We stay ed at the Inn, too which was very comfy, clean and easy.

    Service was absolutely atrocious, feel sorry for the chefs and kitchen team as the food is decent but the service is terrible, 40 minute wait for drinks after arrival at table, get gravy instead of peppercorn sauce with my £29 steak and then 40 minutes after our table of 6 have all finished our dirty plates are still sitting in front of us while the waitress feeds water to a dog and cleans an unused table behind us, blatantly ignoring our table and dirty plates to which I had then had to tidy up and take 6 dirty plates to the bar myself since they wouldn’t do it! Then ask for a desert menu, 25 minutes later still waiting and all empty drinks at our table as no one bothering to service the table, despite the place being half empty! Awful service, decent food and going by trip advisor feedback, it seems to be a common theme and feedback.

    We had starters and main courses which were great with a really nice selection of fresh local fish. The fish and chips was a big portion but really really tasty so we didn’t mind! Staff where friendly and quick to bring out the food with no issues

    Great service and tasty food. Portions were a bit overwhelming for some courses. Highly recommend the smoked salmon tasting platter for £20. Perfect starter for 3 to 4 people.

    We ate there on two evenings. The food and service were excellent, and reasonably good value. However the bar/ restaurant is small and crowded, and therefore quite busy and noisy. Could do with some redecoration.
