    We came here before a show at Queen Elizabeth, we split a bunch of food so we could try more.. we couldn’t get enough. Everything was outstanding, cooked perfectly, the flavours were ridiculous in the best way possible, staff were great, over all 10/10 and above, can’t wait to go back again!

    Always love going to Fanny Bay! The food is always amazing, they have the best Ceasars and Oyster selections plus the service is always friendly. Love the casual and friendly vibe in there!

    Outstanding food offered in small plate sizes and meant for sharing. The staff are friendly and helpful. A little on the pricey side for the portion sizes but worth it if you love shellfish.

    We made a reservation for 8:30pm. They called to confirm which was great. I asked if there was anything earlier and they found a 6:30 spot at the bar. We arrived at 5:30pm to just see if something opened up and they had a spot at the bar for us. Great service. Tasty food, fresh and well presented.

    Everything was quite perfect meal and service but as they were closing they started giving us the impression that we should leave soon by changing the ambiance/lighting and started cleaning while we were eating which was not professional

    Great selection of oysters which Fannie Bay/Taylor Shellfish is famous for. Oysters and cherrystone clams, though, were smaller in size than at other restaurants. Cherrystone were more like littleneck clams. Presentation of shellfish was a bit underwhelming…a larger platter would have given at least the perception of better value. Service was excellent and when they brought the wrong appetizer, we got to try the extra for free.

    Fanny Bay was recommended by a friend who had dined there also on a trip from Winnipeg. Service was good, great menu recommendations and drinks and food were delicious. We wanted a local West Coast seafood experience and got it with the Seafood Boil.

    The food here is absolutely delicious. However, we were very disappointed with the lack of good service. Plates were not cleared when we finished our appetizers and then we were left to use them when our shared entree was brought to the table. Both servers we had at our table were inattentive and treated us like we weren’t worth their time. Too bad having been here before and had an overall great experience then.

    I had an excellent time at Fanny Bay oyster House on my recent visit to Vancouver. As a New Orleans, Ian, used to high-quality seafood, I can honestly say that I was quite impressed. The food preparation was excellent, the oysters were as fresh as can be expected, and the prepared food that I had, scallops with pork belly, and vegetables, or excellent. I was quite pleasantly surprised with the wine list, which had mainly British Columbia wines on it.

    Andrew was fantastic from beginning to end. He had a big smile, great energy, and was able to provide countless recommendations from the oysters to the drinks, to ensure I had a fantastic time at his bar. The food was great and fresh, if you're craving oysters, this is where you need to go. Highly recommend!

    Oysters are fresher than fresh; the same can be said for pretty much every other shellfish served at this fine establishment. As for the cooked menu, we really enjoyed the mussels and clams in its flavorful classic white wine broth. My only criticism is towards the chowder which fell a bit flat and watered down, but this is not the creamy rich New England-style interpretation. Other than that, hats off to the service staff who were a joy to chat with. They are the definition of loving their job! For a Michelin-recommended restaurant, I think this one deserves its spot on the list. We will come back!

    Another 5 star review from me. Fanny Bay never dissapoints and last night (Oct 12, 2023) was no exception. We arrived 10 mins late for our 7pm reservation and where quickly shown to our table. From the moment we sat down, Fara was there ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. She was thorough in explaining the daily specials and gave astute recommendations that genuinely catered to our palate and dietary needs. Her timing was impeccable – never once did we feel rushed, nor were we left waiting. Fara’s knack for creating a personal connection was also noteworthy. Despite catering to a full-house, she made us feel as though we were her only patrons, sharing insightful anecdotes about the dishes and her experiences at Fanny Bay. Her genuine interest in our satisfaction was palpable and significantly contributed to making our evening memorable. The food, as always, was divine. We opted for a selection of oysters to start, which were fresh and delicious as always. In conclusion, Fanny Bay remains a stalwart in delivering not only exquisite cuisine but also exemplary service – with employees like Fara setting the benchmark high for hospitality standards. It's refreshing and gratifying to see such dedication and passion in the service industry, especially during these trying times where dining out has become a rare luxury for many. We're already looking forward to our next visit and hope to encounter more wonderful experiences at Fanny Bay. For those who value an encompassing dining experience where the service is as commendable as the cuisine, a visit to Fanny Bay is indubitably a must. Kudos to the chef and the entire team, and a special shout-out to Fara for making our evening extraordinarily delightful!

    Fabulous oysters in a lively friendly setting. Tables a bit small especially if you have a big bloke on the next one… Good value menu, really fresh seafood and a convenient location near the stadium. I had mixed selection of oysters with tuna tartare, my partner fish and chips. Definitely recommend and lovely friendly and professional service

    Sort of a mood killer, when you’re told as they seat you, the limited time you have for the table. So, if you plan to casually have wine and various appetizers and a casual relaxed pace. That sentence will continually play while you’re trying to enjoy and rush.

    Muy bueno deven tomar reservas después después de las 8.30 no teníamos 15 minutos comiendo, cuando ya me apresuraban a terminar a media comida me trajeron la cuenta que si podía pagarla aunque estábamos a media comida, se las pague me gusto la comida y el lugar es muy buena, solo que no respetan el tiempo yo se que trabajan todo el día, pero tenían prisa por cerrar lo demás perfecto
