Food was ok, but not great.
The farmer's salad was a delightful combination of blueberries, raspberries, sliced Strawberries, cubes of pineapple, cantaloupe and honey dew melon all covered with a bed of arugula and goat cheese; delicious!
The salmon was perfectly done and ample but, I'm a fan of neither mashed potatoes nor broccolini and the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste.
Overall, a delightful experience!
Me and my friends went for breakfast and the portions were huge so you definitely get your money’s worth. Food was tasty and came out quickly.
Food was good….it wasn’t great. Not bad just average especially given it’s a farm to table restaurant we had higher expectations but no complaints. I would give it closer to 3 1/2 stars and would try again, it was restaurant week and very busy which may have affected quality.
Enjoyed the freshly prepared food here today. We were out on SD Restaurant Week and will return.
We visited for a D Restaurant Week. Great value, delicious food. Crab cakes to die for! Artichoke ravioli and NY steak entrees were perfectly cooked with great presentation. Limoncello cheesecake and Chocolate mousse cake-yum. Katie was a wonderful server! Thank you. We will be back!
Great ambiance and service.
Outdoor seating adds a nice few of Little Italy.
Great experience dining with Farmers Table. Food is delicious and service is always excellent. Great value as well!
Beautiful place in the heat of Little Italy. Food was incredible, delicious. I highly recommend the squd ink spaghetti & shrimp. Their sangria is pretty good too.
Food was fine--nothing spectacular, nothing problematic. It was unfortunate that we received our entrees while still eating our salad/appetizers, and with a small table for two, needed to let them go to start our dinner. The clams/mussels dish was served without a bowl/plate for discards, which we needed to ask our waiter for. One of the signature cocktails (gin/cucumber) was just fine as well. Nice outdoor environment; with so many choices in Little Italy it won't be high on the list to go back, but if I had limited choices I would consider eating there again.
This was a marvelous experience. The service and atmosphere are open and lovely. The drinks were very nice and the food was incredible - particularly the pasta. The pistachio is highly recommended.
This is my second time there the first time the food was delicious i enjoyed myself. The second time Was my wedding anniversary I took my husband who never been there and we got seated in a area with a lot of traffic very uncomfortable and we request to be moved the hostess said there was no available Table for two. But as we looked around there was two people sitting on the table for four. Also I ordered the Seabass and my mashed potatoes were not included. Very Dissatisfied.
Great location in downtown little Italy. Variety of food and drinks options.
Friend came in to visit from denver and wanted fresh seafood. Farmers table did not disappoint. Best octopus in town hands down!
Food was lovely, I enjoyed the location and had a great time!
Nice relaxing lunch and ambiance with attentive server!
1) Great location in Little Italy, very vibrant part of town.
2) Huge restaurant. Large space. Indoor and outdoor seating.
3) Food is solid. Portions are just right. I have liked EVERYTHING I have ordered in my 5-10 times dining there.
4) Price. I see value in their pricing vs food quality and rest location.
5) Service: 9 out of 10 times the service is SOLID: Attentive, fast, bilingual and great attitude.
1) Parking can be difficult because of the rest location in Little Italy BUT we new this at the time we made the reservation.
2) This particular time our waiter had like 10 tables assigned to HIMSELF on Labor Day Monday!! Dude couldn’t keep up (no fault of his) plus we where told the kitchen was running super slow.
I took them 30-35 min to get our food out!! It normally takes them no more than 10 min.
Had a reservation for 10am, hostess took our name down and forgot about us. Finally got in and ordered the chile relleno omelette and house salad with shrimp. 10 to 15 mins...we were advised that they were out of chile relleno. We then picked the veggie omelette, 5 to 10 mis...we were told that they were out of shrimp. Really?? By the way the orange juice we were served was not freshly squeezed, very disappointed from a restaurant called "Farmers Table". In any case, we decided to take our business elsewhere. This was our first time there and were somewhat excited and unfortunately it didn't work out for us.
I want to preface that I understand it was a very busy night and like any other restaurant I know they are probably understaffed.
Once me and my Husband arrived for our reservation at 8:30 pm we were quickly taken to our table . The table didn’t have chairs so we had to stand by table for a few second so they could get the chairs which wasn’t a long wait but it was odd that we would be taken to a table that wasn’t prepped .
We ordered our food, our waiter was Ivan; he was very nice. We ordered a drink each and got them in a timely manner. I ordered the chicken that came with potatoes and Brussel sprouts. I do want to note that the reason why I chose this dish was for the Brussel sprouts since I love them.
1.Our food came in a couple minutes later and my dish didn’t have any Brussels so when I asked Ivan about it he said they had run out. I would’ve much rather preferred he told me that they are out of them when I ordered as opposed to not getting them and getting just chicken and potatoes.
2.My husbands wine was the brought out. We could both see that there was something floating around followed by a lipstick stain on the glass. We asked for a replacement which they brought
3. My husband ordered a steak and it came out later than my meal and when it came out it was way over cooked . He asked for a Medium rare. We asked for a replacement. When we received the replacement which was about 15 minutes later when I was already done with my meal, it was over cooked AGAIN. Admittedly Ivan stuck around to see how it was cooked because he thought it looked over cooked. My husband sent it back to the kitchen and didn’t want another as it was getting late.
4. When Ivan came out with the bill everything was on their as it should be, & of course my husbands meal was not because he never ate. I asked Ivan about the total amount because I never received Brussel sprouts and he responded by saying “but we put extra potatoes. First, I did not eat all of the potatoes……
Very enjoyable! Thanks
Our last visit was terrific so we came back. Not a thrilled this time. Probably return for another try,
Mussels & clams appetizer was served in a flavorful broth, but the shellfish was not very fresh. There were bits of broken shells in 1/2 of all the bites I took. It was plated with an obviously broken mussel shell.
Vegetarian pizza was a little better.
I’d go back for wine, but skip the food.
TERRIBLE WAITER. HE ACTUALLY SPENT MOST OF THE TIME SITTING DOWN AT THE TABLE NEXT TO US FLIRTING WITH TWO LOUD, DRUNK GIRLS. REALLY CLASSY.
Ian was the worst server we have ever encountered. We ordered appetizers. The entree’s arrived before we could eat them. Our party was still eating the entree’s when asked about dessert and the menu was delivered. Steak was ordered medium rare and it was almost raw and barely edible. Horrible service! We are regular customers of Farmers Bottega and Farmers Table as we live in Bankers Hill. This is the last meal that we will be eating at your restaurants. Obviously you have a huge customer service issue. Server was rude from beginning to end.
The food was good but the waiter was overwhelmed. Very busy night.
Fabulous on all fronts: service, food, and on the patio in Little Italy!
We wanted a nice place to celebrate a work achievement and Farm to Table did not disappoint. The food was delicious, we got the oxtail ravioli and the roasted chicken, and the drinks were just as amazing. I think their prices are very reasonable for how good the food and drinks are. We live down the block so we'll definitely be back!
Was very disappointing the quality is not the same as in the past and everything wasn’t what it should’ve been unfortunately soggy bread and just kind of weird looking colors of food is very sad because we love going there
Nice space, especially all of the outdoor seating. We had great meals. The pasta seemed home made and perfectly al denote. Our pizza dough was also really great! Will be happy to go back again.
Great food! Had brunch/lunch. I recommend the egg sandwich and the chicken sandwich! Both were delicious and it is in a perfect location in little Italy.
IvAn was great. It was a little slow in gettin water refilled. Bus staff was super busy so we understood
We loved our experience at FT. Our servers were attentive and friendly. Our water glasses were never empty, very much appreciated on a hot summer evening! Extensive drink menu, we loved the sangria.
We were seated outside and could hear the music from the Piazza, a nice perk.
Food was delicious - we shared and enjoyed the burrata over heirloom tomatoes, although we did ask for more balsamic glaze which really brings out the flavors. The pasta was a special, Cavatacci I think and it was amazing! Another had the gnocchi and steak, all very good!
We'll definitely be going back!
My wife and I were celebrating our 7th anniversary and we’re looking forward to a nice evening in Little Italy and had never been to the location before. The Bay Park location has also been very good but we’ve only been for weekend brunch. We were seated quickly but right along India St where low riders were cruising the evening, hopping their cars up and down. Our first waitress disappeared after introducing herself to us and the next one, while nice, really had no idea about the menu. She told us what she thought we wanted to hear and we followed her advice. We only stayed for a glass of wine and a very disappointing crab cake along with mussels and clams in a wine sauce. It seemed like the clams and mussels never made it into the broth as they were dry and shriveled and some of the clam shells were empty and the bodies were not in the sauce. Needless to say we won’t be back. Once we left, we returned back to Pt. Loma and visited our local Italian restaurant, Pomodoro, and our host, Alex, was simply amazing and restored our special anniversary evening with excellent food, wine and especially service!
Everything was excellent except 2 of the 8 meals were served after everyone was done eating. Bad timing.
Great happy hour menu. Active area along outdoor seating, good atmosphere
Oxtail ravioli was excellent
Food was ok, but not great. Service was absolutely inexcusable.
Overall great experience. I had the pork chops, my daughter had a pizza and wife chose a ravioli. All 3 dishes were made perfectly. Great location
Awesome food, service, and atmosphere. We will definitely come back.
I really wanted to like this place, but the food was overpriced for the quality. The cut of meat for $50+ was not good, it was chewy. The manhattans we ordered were sooooo sweet and almost half pours in the smaller martini glass.
Not impressed with the food or drinks. Probably won’t come back anytime soon unfortunately.
