    Ordered John Dory fish for two. Was underdone, tough, smelled and tasted off. The servers couldn't cut it as too tough. Beware if ordering fresh fish.

    Dear Mr and Mrs Brown, As explained by our waiter Mike and Maitre D Anibal, the John Dory you ordered had arrived by plane from Portugal the same day, it could not have been any fresher. As it was a big fish, the head is hard to cut so we brought it in the kitchen to do it properly. We did not charge you for the fish as you were not satisfied. We even offered to order something else that you refused. We feel like we have done eveything we could to satisfy you but unfortunately it was not enough. Regards, Sandra Ferreira

    Great food. Excellent service. Pricey. The BG music was totally inappropriate. Disco music. Not right for that class and style of restaurant. Not great for ambiance.

    Took business clients two nights in a row. All enjoyed their fresh seafood prepared simply and cooked perfectly. Terrace was just the right blend of energy but quiet enough to hear your companions. The seafood rice dish was delicious as was the halibut entree. Fresh tomato season made the Burrata appetizer addictive enough to order both nights. Will be back next time in Mtl.

    We went to Cafe Ferreira for lunch, great service, great food, we have to pay for the bread with the olive oil but it's worth it! Also, the appetizers included with the meal make this restaurant a great choice to have a fancy lunch!

    The new dish, lobster and rice was not at the level expected at this restaurant. The entre: octopus was very good, as usual. The server offered the desert and coffee on the house, which has been greatly appreciated.

    The service was friendly and professional. The food was superb although we needed a lie down afterwards. The chefs were approachable and pleased to receive the favourable thanks. Us Brits have always been a little suspicious of Portuguese wines having only known Mateus Rose but they appear to have come of age with the offerings here. A true revelation. Music a little noisy but as more people arrived it seemed to be absorbed. Dums are never a good dining experience.

    We went for lunch to celebrate our anniversary. The service was excellent. I had the grilled octopus with potatoes and vegetables - the dish was delicious, especially the octopus which was quite large and melted in my mouth. My wife had the Mediterranean sea bass which was two large fillets that she absolutely loved. We had a nice bottle of Portugese wine that the waiter helped us select and finished our meal with a complimentary Portugese dessert that the restaurant gave us for our anniversary - it was a sort of egg tart with vanilla ice cream and was wonderful. A great restaurant with both top notch food and service.

    Cette institution montréalaise existe depuis plus de 25 ans. Son personnel est aux petites attentions. Le service est impeccable. La nourriture est excellente. Chaque plat est une valeur sûre. Définitivement la meilleure table portugaise de Montréal.

    Had one of the best dinners while in Montreal. Our Waitress was super attentive very very informative not pushy at all described all the dishes that we asked. The food was superb the service was outstanding everything about this restaurant is absolutely amazing.

    J’y suis allée à titre de rituel pour souligner la fête de mon fils. Il a pris la pieuvre croustillante en entrée et moi le ceviche de Petoncle. C’était exquis. Le filet mignon et la pieuvre entaient tout deux tendre et excellent! On nous a bien conseillé au niveau vin également. Super bouffe et excellent service.
