All was fine- food-service- ambiance
The air conditioning was turned up way too high and we were sitting with our jackets on for most of the meal
Eventually our request for A/C to be turned down was implemented
Be careful of the valet ... our car died due to the valet leaving the flashers on the whole time we were dining.
The car needed to be jumped. Waited for our car 40minutes. :((. Ended a wonderful evening on a sour note
Thank you to Manager- Alexander C for coming to our assistance. Your customer service skills were greatly appreciated.
Great food and a beautiful room! We enjoyed our meal and our server was knowledgeable and personable!
Food was a bit salty. I even had requested light salt.
Outstanding experience at fig&olives, everything was so nice and worth the cost. Bit expensive for a group of two, but won't matter since both of us enjoyed the meal and the service. Will come again :)
Very nice food, place and service. Strongly recommend.
We enjoyed the interesting menu. All was delicious. The service was as top-notch as the food.
The food is excellent. But, the service was inexcusably bad. We had a reservation for mother's day. The table was not ready upon our arrival. The restaurant apparently was not ready for the mother's day crowd and underestimated the length of mother's day meals. Virtually all of the guests were kept waiting for their reserved tables, some as long as an hour after their reservation time. The ambience was frenetic and dark. It was not romantically dark--it was just too dark to see anything. They may have been short staffed, because the service was rude and uneven. The restaurant purports to offer a very sophisticated dining experience. It failed miserably.
Fig and Olive is a great restaurant, however for their Mother's Day special, the kitchen was overwelmed and the Chilean Sea Bass came out underdone, as did the sauteed spinach. Nonetheless the cocktails are always great and I love the atmosphere. They did correct the food and it was delicious. Great service always.
Great place. The food was wonderful and delicious. Great location with vallet service at the door. Live music of great quality.
Food was served cold
Brunch with tip was $500.00
It was lovely but that changed. I went to get my car from the valet at 2:00. We had theater tickets at 3:00 in Uptown.
Car came 40 minutes later, valet captain was argumentative and overtly aggressive.
We were late for the play and all the pleasant experience was ruin by this experience.
Expected more form an establishment of this caliber.
No plans on returning.
We have been to Fig and Olive many times while in the city. We decided to go for mothers day while in town.
It didn't fail to provide great service, ambience and food.
They offered special brunch drinks which were amazing.
Highly reccomend a trip here!
Honestly the experience was really bad it was the third time o went to the restaurante and I decided to go for mother’s say brunch and the service was bad the food not good the French toast horrible so expensive for that bad experience
This is a beautiful yet simple and not stuffy restaurant with very very good food! My husband loved his Rib eye, and my truffle risotto was very good. Would love to try much more on the menu!
one of the best restaurants in Chicago. exceptional service, deliciously prepared food beautifully displayed. a must go to restaurant
Think this is better for drinks and apps. Fig and olive a nice cocktail and so is the roselli with passion fruit (touch sweet but really like drinking delicious juice).
I’ve eaten there three times and honestly the food is so so. The mushroom crostini is the best one. The goat cheese and onion is too vinegary and the shrimp one didn’t feel super fresh. The iberico was delicious and the best one overall.
I got salmon this time which was cooked nicely but the couscous salad with t was just a weird, cold, mush. Pasta smelled good but was dry and needed more sauce. Chocolate mousse dessert was very good. Whole branzino is fine but not worth the price.
Some of my company’s food came out stone cold and the staff took and back and it came out piping hot. They comped dessert which was classy of them.
Fantastic as always
Had a great lunch at Fig & Olive - Jeremy gave us awesome service and the food was delicious.
The balcony would be a great place but they need some umbrellas or awnings that can protect from the sun. It was overbearingly hot and the tables were too heavy to slide back under the limited awnings that existed.
Everything was EXCELLENT!!
Breads with Oils...........Fun.
Our waiter brought the wrong entree to the table and the new one didn’t appear until after the other guests had completed their meals. The manager apologized and comped us desserts and coffee though. Food over priced for the portion size and ingredients. Trendy atmosphere.
Superb!!! Will be back!
We went to Fig & Olive for a brunch on a beautiful Saturday morning. We were able to sit on the upstairs outdoor patio and it was perfect. The decor was cute and we were able to sit in the sun and glance down at Oak Street and people watch as we ate. The cocktails were delicious and so were the crostini we got for an appetizer. Both of our meals were good. The French Omelette was very tasty; however, I asked for chicken added to it and they brought me grilled chicken on the side which was a little odd. The Lamb Burger was also very good, but came with arugula on the side instead of fries which disappointed my boyfriend. Based on our brunch experience, we will be heading back to Fig & Olive to check out dinner in the future.
We booked online with Open Table, arrived exactly when we were supposed... and we had to wait 15' before being seated... while people that arrived after us get a table before. Once sat, a first waiter came... and disappeared, another took over... and it was better! Our drinks were randomly poured into our glasses... and the deserts almost thrown. The food is great, presentation... what you expect from such place. Given the price point and location, I was expecting a better experience overall... will not come back for sure. There's a lot of trendy places in Chicago that deserve my money... and that I'll enjoy better.
Love the ambiance!! Great cocktails and food. Wish the seats had a bit more room between
Great food and ambiance, comfy seating - feels informal in a good way. Pricey but well-worth it. We brought in friends from out-of-town visiting Chicago for the first time and they loved it!
Service was fabulous; Danilo and Guadalupe (I hope I remembered their names correctly!) were very welcoming and informative. The Mushroom Crostini and the Chilean Sea Bass cannot be missed. We'll definitely be back!
Service is par excellence. Everything we ordered from appetizer to dessert was delicious!
Fig and Olive is a favorite because it's such a relaxing place to be. We love it here!
Jeremy was an awesome server!
Extremely fresh ingredients and the combinations of ingredients were unique and delicious. Our server was excellent, and he made wonderful recommendations. The restaurant is very classy, but inviting for a tourist.
Very nice ambiance, but the food was quite mediocre and the service was outright awful. Will not be going back.
We loved our meal and everything except our waiter. He was awkward and rude. We were not sure if he was trying to be funny but his comments were very off key. Would go back for sure though...
Risotto was great. Unique dessert. Cauliflower was awesome. Crostinis were ok. Brussels sprouts side had too much balsamic vinegar.
Loved it all, but sorry to say it was sooo dark that I could not see what was in my salad.
Cool space, decor and atmosphere. Service was terrible, food was average.
