Food was generally good. Potatoes topping steak pie needed salt, but shepherds pie, burger and fish and chips were all good.
Unfortunately we found a hair in our App but they were quick to have another made and discounted it by 50% so good customer service in that sense. However our drinks ran dry and were not refilled, we had to ask for refills, she took our cutlery and never brought us new ones till we asked again. So in that sense it was bad service. Finally as most places have done during covid the portions have shrunk while the prices remain the same. We used to love this place because the portions were worth the $$ but unfortunately right now it is not. Hopefully it will resume the old normal soon.
My mom and I came for dinner. We ordered the calamari, which I have to say was absolutely wonderful. Tender and well seasoned. We have eaten calamari alot over the years, and Fionn's ranks as the best now. I had the chicken curry and my mom had the chicken power bowl. Both items we very tasty and filling. Service was informative and quite friendly. Definitely a place we will come back to.
Great service! Food was delicious.
Excellent fish and chips! Love the light breading and cod! Had a nice evening. Service was very good! I will be back!
So glad this restaurant reopened. Food is always good. Wish they still had Barking Squirrel on tap.
Great food. Great service. I would highly recommend a visit for a meal here !
Very happy with overall experience
Went for Valentine’s Day dinner. Had the 2 can dine for 49$, good value. Service and food was great
Service was excellent !! The French Onion soup , to me , is the best in the city. Fish and chips (hubby and i always share a two piece dinner, as the servings are pretty big) was as good as it always is. Was very satisfied and a little bit full when we left . It was our way of celebrating Valentine's and it was a very nice time . thank you
Took the kids out for dinner and the hostess/server both did an amazing job of making it a special night for them! Vegan options were AWESOME.
Fionn McCool's at the Crossroads recently re-opened after having being closed for several months, and we were looking forward to again enjoying the tasty meal options. The appealing layout was much like it had been before the extended closing with many resemblances to an Irish pub, and we were greeted warmly. While our server was friendly and knowledgeable, the service was extremely slow, both in terms of taking our orders and the delivery of drinks and food. We were disappointed that there was not a greater selection of Irish beers on the liquor menu, and one imported beer that was listed was not yet available. The quality of the food was variable. The chicken pot pie and house salad was very good. The salad ingredients were varied and fresh, while the chicken pot pie was flavourful and the serving was quite ample. A side of a cup of chowder was similarly very tasty. An order of fish and chips, however, featured a small piece of fish that was overcooked to the point of being flavourless, and another dish of chicken and vegetables was barely warm. It took so long to receive these items that we were reluctant to have them sent back and risk another extended wait. It appeared that the slow service may have been the result of understaffing. I would want to be assured that these issues were addressed before again eating at this Fionn McCool's restaurant.
Tasty food, good drinks, nice atmosphere. I like the new long tables for larger groups.
I went to this restaurant on a Wednesday at 1130 a.m. The 3 of us were the only people in the place. Our order of 3 French Onion Soup took longer than 20 minutes to arrive. There was more spinach and artichoke dip than chips. When my sandwich and salad arrived, I was not finished my soup. I had to get back to work so I had the server pack up my sandwich and salad to take out. The price of the meal was expensive. The restaurant honored my free appetizer coupon.
Disappointed in the fries...for the price, and, the hype, I would expect better than commercial fries
We had a great time. Food was good and service was good. The server was very responsive to our needs. We will be happy to return.
It was nice to see the place back in business. Very friendly staff and great service all around. I'll be back! Thank you.
Good selection of food items on the menu. Friendly waitress.
