Spur of the moment decision to go out to dinner. Since we love Fionn MacCools we checked to see if we could get it. Fortunately we could. We always seem to get sane server who we really like his service.

My wifes meal of corned beef was tough and salty. She could not eat it. After the waiter telling us we would not be charged and the manager offering us a free desert, we were charged for the horrible meal anyway. Absolutely horrible place to eat. Second time there. The first time I order fish and chips. The fish was completely undercooked

Went here for a birthday celebration. Food was dry, ordered a chicken sandwich and the chicken was dry. My spouse ordered a chicken sandwich which hers was also dry. My son ordered a kids hamburger and the burger was overcooked. Just seemed as if our food was waiting to be brought out for awhile before we received it.

We were very happy with our waitress and the food. My cousin had received a gift card from her work after her brother (my cousin) passed. She received it last week and it had the McCools logo on it so we were very surprised when we were told that this restaurant doesn’t accept them anymore (after we tried to use it and scratched off the code at the back). We were told that there’s a notice on the door and when we looked we saw a partially crumpled piece of paper taped to the window. We picked this restaurant from the many choices on the card, looked it up on the gift cards website and then made a reservation. It would be a courtesy to accept the gift cards until the McCool’s name is off the card. It went from a grieving sister thinking it was a nice dinner from her work, to having to pay for the full dinner. The waitress had nothing to do with it and we really enjoyed her service and the quality of food. We were visiting from Tecumseh and will try other choices in London the next time we visit my cousin and her husband.

Fell in love with the lamb burger! Too bad it’s only a summer special :( I ordered a gluten free bun, and when we were served it looked like a regular bun. The server insisted it was gluten free (it was not). I was disappointed but didn’t complain. My wife had a veggie burger and loved it too. The burger being a summer special, we returned a couple of days later and I enjoyed it again. My wife had the phish and chips. She found it ok, but a bit flavourless. At the end, we came to find out there was supposed to be a sauce (tarter like) served with it. Again, we were disappointed, but didn’t complain. We understand the restaurant business is stressed. However, The manager came out and apologized for the mistake. She even knew about the bun issue from the time before, which I didn’t bring up. She brought us a nice slice of cheese cake and offered us a round of free drinks which we declined. I wrote this feedback as a shout out to the manager. We have been here to this location over a dozen times in the past, and it is unfortunate that the food quality is just slipping. When you spend $120 for a meal, (and yes, we had 2 draft beers), you would expect a fare bit more. The Steak Frites w/ mushrooms and shrimp > the steak itself was cooked spot-on. but is was swimming on too much melted butter (or oil) + the mushrooms were from a can, not fresh. for a $45 plate, you would expect something to be fresh, like the mushrooms. The Classic Fish and Chips was also disappointing as the fish pieces were too greasy. Not being a chef, I do know this is a result of the frier oil not being hot enough for the cooking. (This is the 3rd time this has happened for us). I do believe it is time to start favouring a different eatery establishment. PS. the beer was cold.

We had a nice quiet dinner before going to a movie. We decided to try out the new menu and weren’t disappointed. We enjoy sharing multiple entrees to try different items. I also love the Irish ice tea. We will be back.
