The food is terrible. My dinner arrived cold (veggie burger). The ice cold bun was stale and inedible. The burger was dry and the edges were burnt. No discount on the food which I barely touched. The server was pleasant but should have escalated the food issue. The cocktail was good. The price for 2 burgers, kids burger, one beer and a cocktail: $87.00. Don’t waste your money!!

Service was horrible. Too long before she even took drink order. Brought food without cutlery and when asked said it was in the dishwasher. Waited almost 5 min for cutlery after food. One side order missing, and when asked said they were cooking the fries and we’d have to wait. Never had such bad service ever before at any restaurant.

We were a large group of 17 people… of course there’s always glitches. The service and food were good. The error on server’s part was taking BOTH drink and food orders same time causing SUCH a delay for drinks arriving… give folks their drinks, they’ll be happy for a bit. Our first table that came in received their drinks 45 minutes after arrival… too long for old cranky people.. 😳 But the servers worked good and were courteous and hard working. The lack of five star was on management NOT them for some sort of training or assistance that would have banged out drinks rather than the exasperating delay for a beer while someone at your own tables asking 25 questions about a freaking menu option

We started out fine, got our drinks and then food orders were taken. Waited too long for food, when it finally came out it was cold, which indicates it was sitting in the kitchen for a while. Manager came over, said to comp us she would need to take them away, that’s not comping, that’s just removing the order, she discounted our bill 15% as we didn’t have time to wait for new food. Explained they we’re “slammed”, yet the restaurant wasn’t even full. Waited forever for our bill. Left and noticed we were charged for an extra Caesar, called and the manager did say she could refund us if we returned to the restaurant. We were going to the next day (heading to a concert so no time), however my sister was up all night being sick. Just an off experience all around. We’ve eaten there before and not had any issues.

When I walked in, it took 10 minutes for anyone to pay attention to me, even though about six or seven staff members were all chatting together at the bar. We got a table and the service from that point on was quick and friendly. However, my hamburger was dangerously undercooked and I couldn’t eat it. Steak and mushroom pie that my husband had was not very good. They did give a discount for the hamburger I had sent back. No parking onsite right now because of construction. I am sure the place is fine in general and our server tried hard but the food was not good. Probably won’t be back.

I arrived for my reservation and found out our table wasn’t ready because they “didn’t you we were coming” i told them we are fine waiting or if it’s easier we can sit on the patio, the reason i made the reservation was so we didn’t have to sit on the patio like we ended up doing. the band that was playing was good, but extremely loud, we had a hard time hearing and i know all my papa heard was the music making the experience less enjoyable for him. besides all these setbacks our waitress was amazing and extremely nice and took well care of us. if i could rate her she would get a 5/5

My husband said the batter on his fish and chips was not completely cooked. On top of that, one of the vegetarian options was fish! I do not eat meat or fish!

Our group of 4 enjoyed everything about our evening! Our server was great, very responsive, the food was delicious (cauliflower bites, honey garlic bites, fish and chips, fish tacos with sweet potato fries, steak frites, chicken bacon club with lattice fries). We also enjoyed the entertainment from JoJo, he was amazing, and even played the audience's requests too. Thank you to everyone at Fionn MacCool's for making our getaway to Orillia with the beautiful winter wonderland backdrop so wonderful!

Our server was very slow. I order the mini yorkies and have always loved them, however, this time there was no ground beef in them whatsoever and tried to hide it with lots of mashed potatoe on top.

Patio was full, inside was empty. Over restaurant wasn’t that busy. Waited well over an hour for appetizers. Other tables arrived, ate and left before we received any food. Waitress kept forgetting to bring us items. Had to ask for several items multiple times. Dinner took over 2 1/2 hours. Was not impressed as we were with family. Ruined our evening. As it made us late for other plans

Everything was great service and food. The only complaint would be the Vegetarian menu needs to be amended. Fish tacos are vegetarian what you serve under vegetarian fish tacos are vegan. Vegetarian eat fish vegan’s do not.

Had a reservation for our anniversary got seated at a very small table by the bar and the kitchen was entrance so it was loud and very busy by our table . We waited over an hour for our dinner

Made a reservation on open table, they said they didn’t have it but accommodated within a few minutes. The Menu changed and there’s some great new things but the portions are so small now. We had the new tandoori fajitas and the Fionns nachos with the braised beef. Beef was almost non existent - nachos said they feed 4 and it was 2 people at best. They came on a small 1/2 oven tray and it was two layers with nothing on the bottom. Asked for extra cheese and it was comparable to normal cheese at other restaurants. I never ever finish my dinner and I could finish the fajitas no problem. Everything tasted great but it’s not the old Fionns we love and are used to. Seems like they’re really trying to cut costs or maybe it’s a new owner. Server was great, restaurant is nice and clean but we won’t be returning.

We had a fantastic experience at Fionn! Our reservation got mixed up and the hostess was so apologetic. They found us a table very quickly and deducted money from our bill for the inconvenience. The level of customer service here was incredible. The food and drinks were served within a responsible amount of time given the business of the restaurant. We highly recommend Fionn Maccool in Orillia Friendly staff and good food Thanks again to our great waitress, hostess and management who were helping on this busy day! We will be back again when we are In the area 🍀

My only complaint was watching a customer walk around with no face mask and no one said anything to him. Not following covid 19 so because of that I won’t be back nor will I recommend this a safe place to visit

The service was excellent, the food was okay. My bacon cheeseburger was too dense and a bit dry. It is like the meat patty was over compressed.

Patio is quite nice. Food is meh. "Crispy" cauliflower, is not crispy at all. Although our server was lovely, you had to ask for everything from water (I never did receive) to all condiments for your meal.
