Wonderful meal & comfortable seating. Staff were completely accommodating for our change of plans and our need for a faster meal (so we could catch a show). Look forward to a repeat experience. Music was a bit loud, so next time will ask for a quieter, corner, table. Recommended and an A++ experience.
We dined here when the restaurant first opened and the food was great. This last experience was very different - the food was meh and the service indifferent. Never even offered coffee at the end of the meal. Just presented with the bill.
Great food great service
A nice new dining option in a neighbourhood that desperately needs it. Sunday brunch/lunch was great. Plenty of egg and non-egg options, with a few non-traditional but welcome touches, e.g. Mushroom eggs benedict, served on toasted foccacia. Ambience is modern but didn't feel stark.
We had a truly delicious dinner at Fiore Famiglia.
The service was also very good. My husband is very hard-of-hearing and couldn’t hear much at all, but enjoyed his dinner nonetheless. My only beef was that the chairs were very uncomfortable and we were quite cold sitting by the window. We shall be dining there again.
Our disappoint began with the news that the restaurant would be hosting a private party that evening and we would have to be out by 7:30pm, leaving us with a tight 90 minutes to enjoy our food. That information ought to have been conveyed to us when we made the reservation. That did not Happen. The gnocchi with which we had become happily acquainted during earlier visits did not measure up; dry with non of the lightness we had come to expect. The beef roulade was not a roulade but rather a round puck of shredded meat. previous versions were quite different. The endive salad was its usual great self as were the raviolis. On balance instead of a terrific bordering of wonderful experience, we came away with a serious let down. Bye the bye that was the conclusion from all four of us. Really disappointing!
Nice evening out!
Bright inviting modern new restaurant , great food with chef styling
Would highly recommend and def go back
Lovely restaurant, one of my new go to favourites. Located conveniently in Kits on 16th and Trafalgar. Food is always good, service is top notch. The restaurant layout is open and spacious.
A must try.
Food was uneventful and over-priced for a new Italian bistro. The pasta carbonara and chicken were “OK”but I cook better Italian at home according to my wife and I am not Italian. The meat & cheese appetizer plate was also very uneventful but a good portion was provided for 2 people to share. The wine and overall service was good.
There is better Italian food to be had within a kilometre of this place which has a great location and previous history.
My wife and I had a great new years eve experience. The Pappardelle was amazing and is highly recommended.
Very, very tasty with excellent and attentive service (without being overbearing). Was not sure about the place when I booked it, but I now know that we are going back. Not too loud like so many restaurants, could actually carry on a conversation, yet still good ambience and we liked the music!
The food was tasteless - no flavour as promised when reading the descriptions in the menu.
Chicken Cacciatore was very salty. Barely edible. Carbonara had way too much black pepper. Couldn’t finish both dishes. We normally enjoy the food here. Hope it’s a one off.
Food was very heavy and portions large. Pasta was a little undercooked. Over all it was just okay. Nice space good ambiance.
Loved my endive salad - fresh, crisp and tasty, and the mushroom risotto was wonderful - full of flavour. The decor is clean and simple, but still warm and welcoming. The service was very good. The room was full and quite loud, so not suitable for an intimate conversation.
Excellent place for a 1st date also :) And the staff were very friendly and courteous.
I was looking forward to trying out this neighbourhood restaurant. Great ambiance with a cozy, warm vibe but the food was unfortunately underwhelming. Had the beet salad and meatballs. Beet salad was a healthy size but the beets tasted canned. Meatballs were just ok. Not sure that I will be back given the other tasty Italian options in the neighbourhood.
The service was impeccable, and I loved the decor. The pizza and pastas were completely unremarkable, but I’m going to try it one more time, since I like to support businesses in my area. Maybe I’ll try dinner??
We're very happy to have finally tried this 'local' of ours. As promised, very quaint, authentic and cosy. Being the holiday season they had it beautifully decorated and the whole ambiance couldn't have been better. A handful of small tables so noise levels were low and it was ideal for a date night. The food seemed fresh, and authentic yet the service was a great mix of casual yet attentive. Considering this is a 5 mins walk for us we will definitely be back!
Outstanding food and a very attentive staff will make this a go to spot! The chicken cacciatore is simply stunning.
The food was good, but not exceptional. The service was friendly but poor. The servers seemed always in a hurry and distracted. I asked twice for sugar for my Americano and it still never came - eventually I had to go up to the bar to get it. Once the meals were delivered - the server promptly left without asking if we needed anything else, (ie: fresh ground pepper) or how everything was. When we ordered dessert the server promptly started to leave before asking if we wanted tea and coffee. And we did, so we had to call her back.
May be worth a second chance in case it was just an off night, but not a great first impression.
We were delighted by the menu, and so happy to have another place for lunch or dinner. The noise level is such that my partner and I had a hard time holding a conversation, something we don’t usually experience in Fuller restaurants. Maybe some softening of the textures would help?
A disappointment since the ambience and decor was cozy and quaint. Pizza was very doughy and soggy. Very little prosciutto in the pizza I ordered. The tagliatelle was mediocre at best, small in size and not very flavorful with the ground meat. Risotto - too homogeneous. Nothing special. For the price you pay, I would rather go have dinner at my Italian neighbour’s home.
Sorry I will not return or recommend.
Really disappointed with the food. Ambiance good for neighborhood restaurant- service okay - not bad but not great
Excellent weeknight dinner with 2 girlfriends. My only comment is that we felt the service was a bit rushed; felt a bit like she wanted us out ASAP.
Another tasty meal at Fiore Famiglia. The duck confit was delicious but arrived 10 minutes before the pizzas (for others) arrived. So, service was a bit sketchy as one person had to eat before everyone else. Also, as a family restaurant - "famiglia" - it would be nice to provide some crayons and a placemat for young children. Just a suggestion. We were happy to have brought our own "keep busy" items but the kids were disappointed there were no "colours".
Made good accommodations for us with baby. Service was a little slow but lovely & the food was delicious.
The pasta was excellent. Enjoyed it very much. Great that it is in the neighbourhood.
We had a lovely dinner here. We especially liked the endive salad, pizza and pasta Bolognese. It is great having this restaurant in the neigbhourhood!
A good neighbourhood place in a tried and true spot on Trafalgar. The food was good (chicken liver pate) to very good (the mushroom risotto and beef shin), if the $5 focaccia was a tad stale and the balsamic vinegar/olive oil complement too small and unrefilled. More wine selections by the glass required but the space is simple and airy.
Great local Italian restaurant. Food is excellent. Great addition to Kits.
The decor is simple and clean, service excellent, servings generous, food rich and tasty. We enjoyed carbonari pasta and the beet salad. There are 2 desserts, both delicious. The authentic Italian pasta and pizza are said to be gluten free. The room is a bit noisy, and I would love it if there were a seafood pasta on the menu. We are happy to have this restaurant in our neighbourhood and will return
Enjoyed our meal a lot. Cheerful staff and delicious food
Nice to have this restaurant in our neighbourhood. Great menu and service.
Excellent food; great restaurant. A warm atmosphere, and very good service. The only "complaint" I would have is that we weren't informed of their specials (but later heard the waiter listing them to another table) - I can only presume this was the case because we showed up a bit ahead of our reso/at the start of the night, and the waiter may have still been prepping for the evening. Otherwise, very good (and friendly) service. We went on a Saturday evening and reserved - would HIGHLY recommend as we saw a number of people - mostly parties of 2 - advised that they would have to wait >1hr for a seat.
restaurant is far too noisy for me, food was good, not outstanding
wine prices high for a casual dinner
Loved the house made pasta!
Kid friendly. Great pasta. Nice presentation. Excellent service. Welcoming atmosphere.
