Great service and a nice selection of pizza and pasta. Simple but quality fare and located well for pre-theatre dinner.
The beef carpaccio was delicious, therefore we ordered a second one. However, the entrés took a very long time to arrive, approximately 40 minutes.
It shocked us that the bolognese was more expensive than the special that night, the Manila clams.
Excellent fresh pizza and pasta. Nice to see that gluten free pasta is an option too. Prices were reasonable and nice atmosphere. Would definitely come back.
Not a good sign when the chef is late, food was okay considering our pizza was a bit burnt on the bottom.
Was not impressed to see the chef sitting at the counter after arriving late.
Thank you to the wait staff, he was pleasant, honest and helpful when he took our orders.
WE found the menu too limited. Would have preferred more salad options.
It was good but not worth the money we spent
Nice evening out with good food and drinks.
I am so happy we tried this place. Everything was spot on. Food was amazing. Menu wasn't overwhelming (a good thing in my books), service was just the right balance. Not too much, not too little, water glass always full, friendly and genuine. A nice relaxed atmosphere. Will be back for sure!
We love coming here, and have never been disappointed. The food is very good, service is very attentive, and the wine selection is good.
Went at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Restaurant was packed, great atmosphere and music. Our server was friendly and attentive.
Started with the focaccia and olive oil. It was lightly toasted falling perfectly in the middle of crispy and doughy with the right amount of olive oil.
Shared the gnocchi and roasted vegetable pizza. The gnocchi had a wonderful sweetness to it, which balanced out perfectly with the leeks and charred lemon. The pizza was some of the best I've had in Vancouver. The sour dough is denser than a standard pie crust, but it adds a great additional splash of flavour, especially when you get down to the last bits of crust.
Started with the Paper Plane cocktail, which was light, lemony with a hint of floral. Finished off the meal with the Amaroni, which was quite herbal and served as a nice little digestif!
10/10 would have the same meal again, but will definitely be exploring more on the menu next time.
Limited menu, the majority were vegetarian. Pizza and pasta. Noisy.
We chose this restaurant as we could make pre-Theatre reservations. The food was surprisingly good and the waitress was pleasant and helpful. I will be back again.
We were seeing Mamma Mia at the Stanley Theatre and decided to have dinner at Siena on 12th Avenue; only to find they had closed. The menu at the new restaurant Fiore looked doable so we decided to try it. The wine menu was good though like most places in town now....pricey.
Both couples had the beef carpaccio to share. We found the meat and flavours good sceptical for the focaccia bread which was excessively salty. Unfortunately the majority of the mains fared worse. My husband and I shared the three cheese pizza which had fairly good flavour but the bottom of the crust was almost completely burnt black. And showing it to the server didn't elicit much of a remark. My girlfriend's pasta with clams and white wine sauce proved to be sauce less , under cooked, and the noodles too thick. This time the dish was recommend and came with the topping of greens which the original also did not have. The only person to get a dish he was happy with as her husband, who had the pork bolognese.
Atmosphere was kind of bland and with a seemingly high percentage of tables for two it is hard to imagine they get enough people in an evening to make a profit. Especially as most are not positioned to turn into a foursome. Disappointing!
Simple menu but great choices. Good for sharing. Great service.
The pasta was really good! The margherita pizza could use more salt. It was blend. Also the fresh chunks of tomato made the pizza watery. The three cheese was delicious though.
Food and wine was great. Service was slow. Stick to wine and pasta.
Loved the food and authentic Italian liquor. Highly recommend.
Went to Fiore to celebrate passing an exam, and it didn’t disappoint! The reno has updated the look of this neighbourhood spot. All the staff were super friendly and knew their stuff. The best dish we had was a staff suggestion: the ravioli with duck confit to pair with Barolo. I’m still dreaming of that beautiful marriage of food & wine. You need to go here...often!!
Disappointing food. Good service however. Would like to see this restaurant become successful. The ambience is fresh but cold. The food was not well cooked or satisfying.
Great service and ambiance is lovely. Second time there and the food doesn’t disappoint.
I would not recommend. The roasted vegetable pizza had such a strong smell to it that it was difficult to eat it without taking a breath to avoid the pungent smell.
The kohlrabi salad was fair. The ravioli pasta was the best out of the 3 dishes. It could do without the potato crumbs.
Great food and service. Staff were little noisy visiting at the pass
We had a tight time frame, so appreciated excellent service and great food!
This is a a very pretty restaurant and we wanted to like it but unfortunately we don't. The food was bland and the service spotty and slow. We have given this restaurant a good shot having gone 3 times but each time it was disappointing. We won't go a 4th time and we won't recommend it to anyone. We preferred the previous restaurant at this location (Sienna) and hope that Fiore changes its chef or presses him to make flavourful pasta and pizza.
Great restaurant in the heart of South Granville! Food was exceptionally good - we had pizza and gnocchi. some of the best in Vancouver.
They could do with wine options of 1/2 litre instead of just by the glass or bottle.
The only thing I found was that there was not much choice , other than pasta.
No meat , fish or chicken dishes.
There was a mistake with our order and we didn’t get the pizza we ordered. This was disappointing!
My dinner partner and I both ordered pasta and both dishes were very subpar. Not a lot of taste to either and very small portion to my gnocchi. The bread was not good at all - large pieces of gummy, tasteless bread that did not resemble focaccia at all. Underwhelming which is too bad as it's a cute space.
The food was not particularly tasty, in fact we sent back one pasta dish which tasted like unsalted pasta water. The pasta dish with pork bolognese had very little sauce, not an interesting dish at all. Next time I go to the theatre I'll go to a different restaurant in the area, of which there are many.
Had very good service and excellent food and drinks. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a nice local and quiet dinner for two or four. Will return again soon.
Limited menu, but very good woodfired pizzas and pastas. Excellent service!
Sorry to say but it was one of the worst meals either of us have ever had. I started with the green salad which had obviously been dressed in advance and left to sit in the fridge. Greens were were soft and wilted so not pleasant to eat. It was a shame as the dressing was tasty. I noticed that after I mentioned it to our server, customers around us got fresh looking salads. For the main I had the bolognese with pork. The sauce had reduced down to an overly thick glop and when mixed with the heavy pappardelle noodles was not enjoyable. Again a shame as the “sauce” was tasty and could have easily been loosened with a bit of milk before combining with the pasta. My friend had the herb tonnarelli with razor clams. There were two clams and they were rubbery. The “sauce” appeared to just be some olive oil and was almost non existent. Given the cred of the chef it was an extremely disappointing meal. On leaving, we both said we wouldn’t be back.
It seemed like our dishes were pre-made. It was cold on the outside but warm on the inside.
Since the Reno (changed name too) the space seems cluttered and tight. Food (pizzas) were salty.
Excellent! Would definitely recommend it to others
Great food and service. Thanks Jacob!
I went here for dinner with a friend (we wanted to check out the new neighbourhood spot!). The restaurant was cozy and warm- huge upgrade from before! The service was great- friendly but not pushy. We loved the wine selections and my friend and I shared the beef carpaccio and each got a pasta. I really enjoyed the pappardelle and my friend loved the ravioli. For the value in the neighbourhood, I'd highly recommend this as a spot for date or catch up with friends.
The pizza dough is amazing!!!!!
Great neighbourhood spot for pizza and fresh made pasta.
Stopped into this restaurant on my trip to vancouver.
Everything was spectacular - the environment, the food, the service
I recommend it highly
