I would not recommend. The roasted vegetable pizza had such a strong smell to it that it was difficult to eat it without taking a breath to avoid the pungent smell.
The kohlrabi salad was fair. The ravioli pasta was the best out of the 3 dishes. It could do without the potato crumbs.
Great food and service. Staff were little noisy visiting at the pass
We had a tight time frame, so appreciated excellent service and great food!
This is a a very pretty restaurant and we wanted to like it but unfortunately we don't. The food was bland and the service spotty and slow. We have given this restaurant a good shot having gone 3 times but each time it was disappointing. We won't go a 4th time and we won't recommend it to anyone. We preferred the previous restaurant at this location (Sienna) and hope that Fiore changes its chef or presses him to make flavourful pasta and pizza.
Great restaurant in the heart of South Granville! Food was exceptionally good - we had pizza and gnocchi. some of the best in Vancouver.
They could do with wine options of 1/2 litre instead of just by the glass or bottle.
The only thing I found was that there was not much choice , other than pasta.
No meat , fish or chicken dishes.
There was a mistake with our order and we didn’t get the pizza we ordered. This was disappointing!
My dinner partner and I both ordered pasta and both dishes were very subpar. Not a lot of taste to either and very small portion to my gnocchi. The bread was not good at all - large pieces of gummy, tasteless bread that did not resemble focaccia at all. Underwhelming which is too bad as it's a cute space.
The food was not particularly tasty, in fact we sent back one pasta dish which tasted like unsalted pasta water. The pasta dish with pork bolognese had very little sauce, not an interesting dish at all. Next time I go to the theatre I'll go to a different restaurant in the area, of which there are many.
Had very good service and excellent food and drinks. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a nice local and quiet dinner for two or four. Will return again soon.
Limited menu, but very good woodfired pizzas and pastas. Excellent service!
Sorry to say but it was one of the worst meals either of us have ever had. I started with the green salad which had obviously been dressed in advance and left to sit in the fridge. Greens were were soft and wilted so not pleasant to eat. It was a shame as the dressing was tasty. I noticed that after I mentioned it to our server, customers around us got fresh looking salads. For the main I had the bolognese with pork. The sauce had reduced down to an overly thick glop and when mixed with the heavy pappardelle noodles was not enjoyable. Again a shame as the “sauce” was tasty and could have easily been loosened with a bit of milk before combining with the pasta. My friend had the herb tonnarelli with razor clams. There were two clams and they were rubbery. The “sauce” appeared to just be some olive oil and was almost non existent. Given the cred of the chef it was an extremely disappointing meal. On leaving, we both said we wouldn’t be back.
It seemed like our dishes were pre-made. It was cold on the outside but warm on the inside.
Since the Reno (changed name too) the space seems cluttered and tight. Food (pizzas) were salty.
Excellent! Would definitely recommend it to others
Great food and service. Thanks Jacob!
I went here for dinner with a friend (we wanted to check out the new neighbourhood spot!). The restaurant was cozy and warm- huge upgrade from before! The service was great- friendly but not pushy. We loved the wine selections and my friend and I shared the beef carpaccio and each got a pasta. I really enjoyed the pappardelle and my friend loved the ravioli. For the value in the neighbourhood, I'd highly recommend this as a spot for date or catch up with friends.
The pizza dough is amazing!!!!!
Great neighbourhood spot for pizza and fresh made pasta.
Stopped into this restaurant on my trip to vancouver.
Everything was spectacular - the environment, the food, the service
I recommend it highly
Service was good. Food was bad. Waste of money.. Avoid.
Under new ownership, food was good. Small menu well executed. Nice setting for a friends get together.
We were greeted promptly at the door and then left standing there while the server went to take a food order from a table. Once seated we ordered some olives and I had a gin martini. The martini was really awful, it was doused with vermouth and there was no good gins available despite the restaurant offering a gin martini on their menu. In hindsight I wish I had of said something and returned it. The olives were only $5 for a huge bowl (about 30 olives?). Not to complain about getting too much food (!) but we would have happily paid a bit more for a small amount of high quality olives. The entrees were pretty good-we both had pastas. The wine menu is only comprised of Italian wines. Would be nice to see a variety including some BC and US wines. We wanted to order another drink during dinner but nobody came by and we sat with empty plates and glasses and had to pull someone aside to get our cheque as we were heading to a show (which we informed the server of at the start). The restaurant was quite busy, maybe not enough staff working. It was a disappointing experience overall as we were really looking fwd to a new restaurant in our neighborhood.
Feature salad, with apple and goat cheese, was delicious but the server warned us the kitchen may be close to sold out (at 6:15pm. ). I think he was right because the 3 we ordered looked like 2 stretched out.
Chorizo and kale Pizza was dry and ‘dusty’ with all the good stuff in the middle and the too-thick doughy crust surrounding. Poor distribution! Not enough oomph. Wanted chilies and olive oil but it was too busy to be demanding.
Squash fettuccine also kinda bland and not hot. (Asked for salads first, but it all came together. The server did acknowledge and apologize for that. )
Service was pleasant and ok, but on 2 occasions he said ‘I’ll be back in a minute’ and he definitely wasn’t. Ie. to order dessert/coffee, so we had to skip.
Chocked it up to newly opened restaurant kinks. And we know we were there during the pre -theatre rush.
We will probably be back to give it another try.
We like the ambiance and location.
The food was delicious and the service was friendly and prompt. We were just a little surprised at how limited the menu was. About six choices of pizza and pasta, only one salad option, and a few other appies. We really missed the antipasto platter.
Very convenient location for the Stanley theatre.
They have a delicious Valentine’s Day tasting menu that is more filling than you’d expect!
Family dinner out! Grandma was a little picky but the rest of us loved it and would came back !
Beef carpaccio was amazing . Small but tight menu .
Arrived to a warm welcome by the manager. Seated immediately and informed this was opening night under new name. Decor is modern, subdued lighting is at perfect level, tables not too close together. Very nice look and feel for a date. We were offered tastes of the wines served by the glass to help choose. Acceptable but neither were the fruity dry type that I like. The quality of wine choices could be improved, at least for our tastes. We ordered 2 pastas within 5 minutes of arriving. After waiting 50 minutes trying to stretch our glass of wine, I had to find the manager to ask for our food and it came 5 min later. Then we had to rush dinner because we had a show to attend, a fact we had given the server when ordering. The pastas were tasty and a suitable quantity, but don’t expect a pasta main alone to fill you up. Overall, I will try it again when looking for a simple pizza pasta dinner with a nice ambiance, and hope the service issues have been sorted out when I do.
Overall, the quality of the food was mainly good - a nice tuna crude appetizer and pizza, though an uninspiring focaccia (somewhat tough and soaked in olive oil) - but we found the menu excessively limited. There's only one appetizer aside from the focaccia, no salads and no 'secondos' (mains), despite them showing a couple of mains on their website. Also no specials, even on a Saturday night. The ambience was nice (low light and candles), though coats don't stay on the backs of chairs and there didn't appear to be a coatrack near the entrance. Also, the drinks menu was very light - three beers, a number of wines, and nothing else. The service was warm and friendly, but I really think they need to offer more to induce me to come back.
We had a great time and the food was really, really good.
Great service, delicious food. Highly recommended.
Some of the best food I've eaten in Vancouver. Every bite was a joy.
Food was excellent, as was the service. Crowded before the Art’s club performance and difficult for cross table talk if you have hearing problems. Will definitely go again but try for a corner table.
I have always enjoyed myself at Siena - the food and service are always excellent. I would like to request that you bring back the antipasto platter - this is one my favs and was recently taken off the menu. Keep up the good work!!
Incredible food and great service! Will definitely be back.
No specials during the holiday season, but everything we tried on the regular menu was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. An excellent neighbourhood Italian restaurant that I would highly recommend.
Menu very limited due to Renovations but service was pleasant. Food a bit bland.
Limited choices on the menu, but reliably good food.
new owners, same chef, different vibe.
