Great food and wonderful service.
Excellent food, superbly prepared and the service was terrific.
We dine out frequently and can say unequivocally, that some of our best meal experiences have been @ Fiorentina.
We had 4 entrees, French Toast and Croque Madame/Monsieur were excellent.
Cinnamon Roll was the best of the desserts we tried.
The food was mostly very good, but the service merely adequate.
Best brunch in Toronto. Menu changes every week. Great pastries. Friendly service.
Breakfast is amazing here, we go all the time. We decided to try out dinner too and we're equally impressed with the quality of food.
The menu is set each day so it always a surprise. The food was awesome and the server very friendly.
The service was indifferent. The supposedly fresh bread was toasted to hide that it was not fresh. I ordered dessert there for the first time, and the salted caramel chocolate tart had not a hint of salt and was so stale I couldn't cut into it.
I have been there before and had great food and a good experience. This last visit was so disappointing that I will not return.
First visit to Fiorentina as have had Tina and her team cater an event for us. The restaurant was outstanding with lots of great local ingredients infused into a really nice menu selection. Nicely priced and wonderful flavour was accompanied by some great local craft beer and moderately priced wine. Nicely located within the heart of Greektown, they offer an alternative to everything else around them (Greek food and pub food).
Loved it and will be back again soon!
Individually prepared brunch items. Fresh stream of temping baked goods coming out of the kitchen.
The most amazing fresh pastries and meals made from locally sourced ingredients
The food was okay and the server was friendly, but honestly it took forever for the main entree to arrive. The appetizers were okay for timing but while we were eating, a group of about six arrived that seemed to know the waitress. After that, our service declined significantly. The time between our appetizers and our main must have been 45-60 minutes. We didn't even get our plates cleared for that entire time. The entrees were okay but not worth the wait. I understand things are made to order at this place and we were told to expect a longer wait, which is fine, but this was as least twice as long as I would expect at a regular higher end restaurant. It was easy to tell we were instantly lowered on their priority list, such should be equal. The couple beside us was also neglected and had to wait a long long time just like us.
One of my favorite spot on the Danforth for lunch ... I finally went for dinner and it was amazing
Excellent quality and creative menu. Exceptional little gem amongst the plethora of Greek restaurants on the Danforth.
Excellent food. The decor is all over the map - no idea what it wants to be - a renovation by a professional interior designer would make this place a noteworthy attraction because the food is good.
My sister and I decided to be spontaneous and come to Fiorentina for the first time, not knowing what was on the menu. There were definitely a few dishes that are made for adventurous eaters. Our waitress was very friendly and helped us through the menu. The chef was also very accommodating and modified one of his dishes to suit my dietary restriction. The portion wasn't large and was enough for you to have room for dessert.
I had the fried chicken tartine and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Also had a grapefruit mimosa, because Sunday.
food was great, as usual, but the noise level makes it hard to have a conversation when the restaurant is busy. Good for coffee/tea at off-hours. Sublime quiche!
This was our second time here for brunch. I love it! The food is all fresh and made in house. And it shows. Nothing bad to say. Will be back.
Service was a tad inattentive
There was a waitress who is really unhappy to be there. Her approach really bothers us, there is no hospitality.
absolutely delicious Sunday brunch and we would definitely go back. we had our daughter and their high chair was new and clean.
probably the best brunch in the neighbourhood
Vert unique cuisine. For foodies who appreciate pairings with a local twist.
I have eaten here many times before and have bee very satisfied, this past time I ordered linguini with white clam sauce and I would hardly call it sauce, it more like water with little flavor.
Had a great lunch with a friend. The food was great and ambiance very nice. Would definitely recommend.
Great place with excellent food and very friendly, attentive service.
we booked a table for 2 a week before for last sunday at 10:00 am
when we got to the place at 10:12 am they told us that they've tried to call us several times(one, two minutes earlier) and after they decide to give away the table to someone else.
i work in the industry as well and i'm sure there is at the very least a 15 minutes policy for no-shows, it's not like we showed up 45 minutes late.
we asked if it was possible to sit us at another table and they responded only if someone else doesn't show up. no apologies, no effort from their side to accomodate us, even though they made the mistake here giving away our table.
we live in the danforth and we're regulars in lots of spots on the street, because we love our neighborhood, but they have been dead rude with us, so i don't really care if they are the best spot for brunch on the danforth, we're never going again. sucks for them, they lost two potential big regulars.
Always good, always worth the walk or drive, or bike. Go there and have brunch.
I’ve been here for brunch many times with friends (the French toast is divine) but this was my first time for dinner. We were not disappointed! My sister in law has health issues and as a result has a limited diet. The kitchen was extremely accommodating with her and my brothers diets including dairy free, gluten free and meat free. The meals were so delicious and inventive and seasonal. The food is made with love and care and is presented so beautifully. I highly recommend coming here for dinner now too!
The food was delicious, original and creative. They use Local produce and native ingredients some of which I had never experienced. The menu is unusual and that may throw some people off but don’t let that keep you from experiencing this restaurant. There aren’t many places you get organic and original food that is so well prepared. You’ll find no overly salted, sauced, greased up food here. The place is lovely and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We had heart nuts for the first time. They are delicious.
This is mine and my partner’s favorite place to have brunch in the city. The food is always perfect and delicious. The dinners are also amazing! A little pricier but totally worth it.
Fiorentina is great! Excellent quality food, always fresh and delicious. Very good service. Four of us had a wonderful lunch and lingered to chat and were very comfortable. I've eaten there a few times for lunch and it never disappoints. And, the baked desserts are to die for. If one doesn't have room for them there, take them home. All are yummy.
The best French toast ever! I was too full but their pastries all look amazing, too. Everything made from scratch in house.
As foodies and farm-to-table lovers, we expected more. No feature of where ingredients came from. Server did not seem to know menu well and couldn't explain or entice us to anything. She even described whole fish (not on menu) as a main for 2 people. It absolutely was not and in the end cost the same as the other mains so I don't think the item was ever meant to be shared (had expected it would be twice the price since for 2 ppl).
Food was extremely slow arriving, even though we were the only table occupied. Food was good, but not phenomenal. Service and more knowledgeable server could have greatly impacted food experience.
I'm really curious about the other reviews that highlight the farm-to-table aspect of Fiorentina, it is nothing like other farm-to-table restaurants we've been too. I wouldn't even know it other than they claim so on their website.
Probably won't be back.
Great neighbourhood restaurant. Fresh ingredients & lovely atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
The food here is great, very tasty, the atmosphere conducive to conversation. The menu is a bit difficult to navigate, because there are items including starters and mains, you can't tell which is which and you don't know what to order. There is a 'tasting menu,' but it is really just a fixed-price 3 course meal (starter-main-desert) and you are not told what it will be. How to order wine under those circumstances. The process of ordering is puzzling, and it's not clear why they've done this. But if you solve this and make your order, the food itself is very good, and the prices (including for the 'tasting' menus) are very moderate.
One of Toronto's best kept "foodie" secrets. Excellent food and wines and service in an unpretentious environment that allows for easy conversation.
My wife, who has probably tasted most of Toronto's better croissants, contends that Fiorentino's is absolutely THE best in TO.
Wonderful food and service. Great attention to detail in every dish. Locally sourced ingredients and a carefully selected wine list. The dessert options were limited but both that we chose were original and delicious.
A nice little place with lukewarm lentil soup, good sandwiches, good coffees. But no points despite asking that they be credited. (They in the end did give the points.)
The tasting menu was OUTSTANDING. Everything was well prepared, well sequenced and matched, truly delicious,. The wine pairings enhanced the food. The portion size was "just right". and the vegetable portions were even generous!( not always true of restaurants) A superb, heavenly, tasting menu meal, perfect for starting the New Year off. Thanks! for a blissful experience!
