Food was reasonable good. Steak well cooked and seasoned. Bread very good. Menu somewhat limited. Service awful. Was in back of restaurant by ourselves. Server rarely came by, took forever to get check. They were not that busy elsewhere it appeared. Overall a definite step below average Marriott related restaurant. They're remodeling the lobby eyc. Should revamp the restaurant.

Very surprised to receive a fixed lunch selection menu and was told by the waitress that was the only menu they had, after I asked for the full menu. The Fire & Sage website provides two menu options: the Breakfast Menu AND the Fire & Sage ALL DAY MENU, which was the reason this restaurant was selected to visit. Not a chance in getting the chicken wings, crispy brussels sprouts or crab cakes. This restaurant was selected due to the wonderful menu on the their website. I will not make another lunch reservation because I would want what I crave, not settle or substitute for something I really didn't want in the first place. I will not state whether I would or would not recommend a friend to Fire & Sage because I have yet to have the full experience.

This was an *anazing* reataurant located on the bottom floor of a hotel within a few blocks of the "Metro Center" DC Metro station. We ate there during DC Restaurant Week. Fantastic food that was brought out very quickly and did not disappoint!!

Had the 3-course prix fixe Christmas dinner, turned out to be an excellent value and very good food. Atmosphere is rather uninspiring as it is essentially right off the hotel lobby, but all 4 diners were very pleased with our meals

We had our Christmas dinner here. Our waitress was very friendly. We had the special christmas menu. The price was very reasonable. Portions were typical us, very large. The roasted rib was a little bit salty but we can not complain.

We had flatbreads--the ricotta, carmelized onions, and roasted garlic one was delicious. Our servers were fantastic, so gracious and perfectly attentive. We even had a Starbuck's cappuccino (milk perfectly creamy, without an air bubble) delivered to our table. The site is quiet, bench seating very comfortable, and a great place to talk. I recommend it heartily to anyone looking for a quiet place near Metro Center. I'll be back.

Yes! I have known the restaurant and their staff for 20 years. They are always welcoming, kind and helpful. The food is amazing. I was there with a coworker friend for lunch and we decided to return there for our next lunch too. My rice bowl with chicken was awesome and she loved her burger. Thanks!

Didn't realize when I made this reservation that it was in the lobby of the Marriott Hotel. Great location Allowed as much time as needed to enjoy lunch and conduct business $100 for a sandwich and a salad and 2 drinks each seemed a bit pricey

Easy option for dinner but did not realize that it's a hotel restaurant. Great service as we were 1 of 2 couples and 2 of 8 guests. Also little to no noise which made for good conversation. Disappointed that for a Marriot hotel felt like I was in the dining area of a comfort inn.

This is a hotel restaurant, adjacent to and open to the lobby of the Marriott Hotel. The food was surprisingly good, and the service was attentive and very pleasant, but with all the wonderful places in Washington DC, I wouldn't choose a hotel lobby restaurant unless I were staying in the hotel.

For a hotel restaurant, this is pretty good. But... It's a hotel restaurant. Food is fine, better in concept than on the palate, but way overpriced. Had the rockfish, which was overdone, and beans and rice which weren't as flavorful as we had hoped. Friendly service. Ambience is... A Marriott.

The service was excellent and the food was good. I had a Ceasar Salad with chicken so it was as good as I've had. The person I was with however, had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and I've got to say, those were some of the best fries I've ever had. I'd go back for the fries alone!

Horrible service. No one at hostess stand to check in for 45 mins!! Thank goodness I was early and had to sit and wait for friend before checking in for reservations - others came and went because no one was at stand. You lost a lot of business because if it! Finally my friend came and we had to go into restaurant to look for someone to seat us for our reservations- crazy! Got one drink because waiter was so slow and we only gotto order once. I’ll never go back.

First time and super convenient to meet friends via Metro Center. Meaningful to have local and organic food. Burgers were great. Attentive service and best of all no rushing or pressure to eat and run by the wait staff. I will go back for lunch more often.

Food was mediocre and service OK. I was not checked in when I arrived and because of that OpenTable sent me email about not showing up for my reservation. I felt rushed by the waitress to get the order and ended up unhappy with our selection.
