Fire + Water Restaurant at the Victoria Marriott
We find inspiration in local, sustainable, fresh ingredients that are abundant along the Pacific Coast, where the climate provides many a delicacy in our wild and not so wild spaces.
Our talented culinary team is a mix of different cultures, and those cultures brought ingredients, ideas and approach to cooking that we at Fire + Water describe as West Coast Cuisine.
The palette-tempting menu combined with the casual modern setting and atmosphere of our restaurant and Lounge are a great for family celebrations, a casual drink after work or a special occasion.

Clam chowder was superb. Steaks were excellent. Service flawless. Price up there.
There was a glitch in the reservation system which resulted in our arriving on time only to be told there was no reservation.
The maitre'd was excellent, and sat us at the bar while he rearranged tables and found us a nice window table.
We enjoyed the excellent food, and excellent service.
We enjoyed the Dine Around Victoria options. Very tasty meals. Very large portions. Enjoyed some of our meal at home the next day. I'd go again. Good BC wine.
Overall, pretty mediocre dinner and surely not worth the price. The restaurant was fairly busy, but under control which made it even more disappointing that the food and service were simply “alright”. I can understand how this would be a convenient meal option for those staying at the hotel, but other than that I would not return again.
Ps. Olive tapenade should not be served with salted bread. Too. Much. Salt.
Was pleasantly surprised and pleased with our Dine Around Dinner! Reserved ahead of time and was seated in a booth which provided us with privacy and coziness. Ample food portions, beautiful presentation, and delicious and healthy selections. Certainly will return to check out the regular menu and foods.
Typical hotel lobby restaurant. Food was fine, nothing outside of normal. Fish, arctic Char, was overcooked and unseasoned so pretty bland. Salad was fresh and well seasoned. Risotto was pretty average as was the gnocchi. Both the ginger apple cake and the flourless chocolate cake were uninspired. Pleasant ambiance and probably a nice spot for a drink. Lunch a few weeks back was a nice experience, I would go back for lunch, but dinner was not particularly memorable.
First time at Fire and Water and we will definitely be returning. Four of us enjoyed the Dine Around menu and enjoyed all the courses. Very generous portions, great choices for starters, mains and desserts. Service allowed us to have a nice relaxing meal without feeling like we were waiting for anything. My only complaint is that we could not finish the meal and were given a takeout container to scrape the plate at our table. It didn’t feel very elegant which is the vibe we originally got from Fire and Water.
Mediocre food, poor service and timing of everything was very off. We were seated and basically ignored for 10+ minutes before someone came to take our drinks order. Staff took our meal order at the same time and the first course was at our table less than 5 minutes later, before our drinks had even arrived. Long wait between first and second course. Will not be returning.
Not a great table, reseated to another table which was also not so great. Other than that the experience was excellent!
Love the new decor although the tables seem a bit small for a 4 top. Food was good but the server need to work on their descriptions - dessert ended up being way better than how it was described. Additionally, the bar should work on some mocktails other than the usual virgin margarita or daiquiri, or cranberry and soda water. With more people opting not to drink and drive, some alternatives would be a great addition to the bar menu.
We were tucked away in a private room which was wise...we were loud😁. Dine around menu was one of the best I have seen. Lots of variety and everyone liked their picks. There is not really much space as it is kind of a hotel lounge with some tables for eating. It was overall well presented and delicious.
We like the Fire and Water restaurant. It is quiet and the service is good. Located in downtown Victoria and it's accessible.
My girlfriend and I had an excellent experience at this restaurant on New Years Eve. It's a smaller restaurant located inside the Marriott Hotel just across from the lobby. The food and service was outstanding! We had a bottle or red wine and ordered their calamari to start which we both said was great. For our mains I ordered the lobster salad which was delicious and the perfect size. My girlfriend ordered the seafood pasta which I also tried and was very, very good. Our server was great, very friendly and checked on us a couple of times throughout our meal. There are a couple of TV's in the restaurant for anyone that would like to sit at the bar but with no volume, they had music playing at the perfect volume on this night. I would definitely recommened this restaurant and we will definitely visit again.
We enjoyed a lovely family lunch. Service was excellent - everyone from the host to the servers was prompt and polite. Food was very good. We tried the fish and chips, clam chowder and the burger. Very cozy with a fireplace.
Great service, great food
We spent Christmas Eve dinner at Fire & Wire, and it was truly memorable. We started off with cocktails, which were yummy, and then had a delicious meal-I had a steak that was cooked to perfection, and my daughter had a seafood dish that was equally delicious. Our waiter gave exceptional service, and he never stopped moving the entire time we were there. Would definitely recommend this establishment and hope to visit it again in our next visit to Victoria.
Wonderful service, very attentive and quick with the food. Accomodated my group size perfectly.
Excellent experience from arrival to departure. Amazing food and drinks with top shelf service. Unexpectedly got a beautiful private room for our reservation. A true hidden gem in Victoria. Thank you Fire + Water!
I have been a fan for several years and love the patio in summer. The main reason though is that the food is consistently good, the staff friendly and it's actually quiet enough to be able to chat with friends and family and clients in particular. With the new renovations I thought that this may have changed but was pleased to find all the above still true, even with some noisy folk at the bar, we were still able to talk without shouting. The chairs are comfortable too! I have already recommended it again to friends for a nice reasonable evening out!
Poorly done, painfully typical "hotel restaurant" with lovely staff.
Not expecting a hotel lobby restaurant.
Great food, friendly staff, but it was a little quiet
Good food in a newly renovated dinjng area. Unfortunately, it's noisier than it was before the renovation because there are you many reflective surfaces.
Food was fantastic. Waitress was great.
Birthday party for my adult daughter. We had two kids and that makes it a bit challenging. Everyone left full and happy. Nice memory.
The food was excellent. I had about the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. And the service was very good.
Great spot... seafood pasta was amazing! Service was very good.
