We made a reservation for my birthday dinner. The restaurant was really empty for a weekend evening. I wasn’t sure if that was a red flag. Our server was not good. He was very inattentive & kept disappearing. And as I said it was not a busy night. I ordered the Chilean sea bass. It was just ok in my opinion. My daughter had a sirloin salad.. it was a huge bowl of soggy lettuce with a small unevenly cooked piece of steak. It was well.. medium well & rare. The waiter sat it down & then he said do you want the steak back on the grill? So you recognized it wasn’t cooked properly? My sister in law asked for happy birthday to be on the dessert plate. It wasn’t so we just ate the carrot cake which was good. There was a small piece left on the plate & when the waiter finally came back. My sister in law said do you all not write happy birthday on the plate? He said oh I can have them do that. He reached out for the plate & I said there is no point. He just walked away. Idk.. maybe he was high or on medication because he definitely wasn’t attentive at all. Ultimately it was my first & last visit.

The service was impeccable! The food looks great, but the flavor isn’t there. We took a friend to celebrate his birthday, but he ended up using salt and pepper on his steak burrito. The bread leaves something to be desired, but the cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages were delicious. For the price point, the flavor should be there.

The food was delicious. Our server was awesome. Unfortunately, when booking through Open Table I requested a booth and mentioned it was a birthday occasion. We were not seated at a booth even though there were booths available (and we were early) and my husband’s birthday was not mentioned.

It was a beautiful experience for my 50th Birthday. My husband and truly enjoyed ourselves and our server was so pleasant and courteous. We truly enjoyed her very much because she made great recommendations for our dining experience and was tentative to our needs. GREAT JOB!!!! We will definitely be back.

We dined at Firebirds last evening. We arrived without a reservation and asked for a booth. The hostess informed us that she had no tables available; but, offered to seat us outside on very uncomfortable seats. We looked around and there were many vacant tables, including booths. My husband went online with his phone and found that reservations were available at that time and for the rest of the evening. He proceeded to book us a table on Open Table. We went back to the hostess stand, presented our reservation and were seated in a booth (which we had earlier requested). Our meal was a big disappointment, as well. Our favorite entree is the Colorado chicken salad. Until our last visit, we enjoyed freshly grilled chicken along with ample ingredients. However, this time our salad was presented with what was obviously pre-cooked sliced chicken. The other ingredients on the salad were much sparser than previous times with the exception of an over abundance of dried cranberries. Our server was pleasant enough; but, he neglected checking on us during our meal. After flagging him down and requesting refills on our drinks, he took an excessive amount of time to do so. We will wait a while before going back to Firebirds, in hopes that food and service will improve.

Our serverMorgan was not very engaging. Our drinks sat at the bar, went and got them ourselves. Had to flag down as we needed ketchup as she never check on us after she dropped off the food. The restaurant was not crowded. I put I our open table reservation we we’re celebrating a birthday. No acknowledgment. I go there a lot and usually have a good experience. Disappointed as I was bragging about how great this was to our guests and it was a let down.

We visited this location for my birthday and we had a blast. Food, service and atmosphere was amazing. Firebirds is one of my favorite restaurants. I have visited multiple locations and by far this location is one of the best locations. I will returning when I visit Jacksonville FL again.

Celebrated my 50th birthday. Reservation was at 6p, everyone arrived about 6:20 No one had come to the table - not even to greet us the entire time. One of my girlfriends went and asked if we could get a server & that wasn’t until 6:46p. Moments later someone said they getting someone and around 6:55p Curtis finally walked up and asked what we wanted to drink. No apology nothing (- it wasn’t his fault and he ended up being a great server… ) So one of my girlfriends said can we get your manager? We’ve waited all this time and NO ONE has come over. He replied no one told him it was his table. The manger NEVER came over instead Curtis offered us free appetizers. We accepted of course but there was NO ACCOUNTABILITY. Also ordered a medium well ribeye and it was served more like medium rare. Had to send it back. Very disappointed to say the least. It was a Tuesday evening- no large crowd etc. Just disappointing for my 50th celebration.

We ordered the special that I found on Facebook…so it was quite reasonable. This is our third visit and we have been impressed each time with the food and the service. On this trip the service was not only excellent, our waitress was very sweet and took the time to interact with us more than simply taking our orders. We will definitely return. Not only would I recommend Firebirds, I already have, and the couple we dined with this time were with us because of my recommendation.

I’ve dined at Firebirds many tines and love that the brought back the baby-back rib special. The meal was scrumptious, the staff was professional and attentive, and the inner circle price was attractive. I highly recommend the restaurant and return soon.

Overall, our visit was very good. When our steaks came out, my husband's was medium rare, as ordered. Mine was brown all the way through, despite being ordered medium rare. This was the second trip in a row where that occurred. The previous time, I didn't speak up. This time, all I did was show our server, Shea, and she took care of it immediately. The replacement steak was cooked perfectly. Shea's service was excellent, as were our beverages and the dessert we took home for later.

We were a party of 8, toddler included. Celebrating an anniversary and a Bon Voyage trip, we had drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. We were seated right away and had drinks on the table right away, martinis, beers, and soft drinks. I highly recommend the dirty bird, ranch rings, cauliflower bites, and egg rolls. I enjoyed the BLT salad with shrimp. Our other entrees included spicy penne pasta w chicken, salmon and spinach salad, surf n turf, and ribeye. We finished with carrot cake. I felt we had a pleasant dining experience and did not feel rushed to vacate the table. All in all a very pleasant evening. The hostess, waitstaff and servers were pleasant and friendly. We will be back again.

Overall an ok experience. Food was not bad but not great. Waitress was ok as well. No beer on tap when I visited which was kind of disappointing. For the price there a lot of options out there so it’s hard to recommend this place unless you are at the mall.

This was my first visit to Firebirds, and I thought the overall ambiance was really nice. Regrettably, our server wasn't attentive and our food actually came out cold, which crushed the whole experience. We had a group of 7, and were there during happy hour, but our server didn't tell us about the happy hour offerings until after someone asked about happy hour when we were ordering our second round - that felt really crummy to have overspent unnecessarily. When one in our group mentioned this, our server didn't even respond to the sentiment. For the few in our group who ordered tea or soda, they kept having to ask for refills instead of our server asking, or preemptively bringing another drink. Everyone in the group agreed their food was ho-hum, it was edible but nothing memorable. I can only speak specifically to my food... our server mentioned that Firebirds is known for their steaks, so I ordered the ribeye. It was thin and overcooked (I ordered medium rare, and there wasn't a lick of pink in it), plus it was cool. My baked potato was also cool (wouldn't melt the butter). Getting the attention of our server was next to impossible, and the way our service was, I was more concerned that I would never get decent food, so I ate it. But overall, it was too expensive to receive such poor service and mediocre food. I can't speak for our entire group, but I know I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

We have been to Firebirds a few times. Food is always good. Not the best value though, unless they're running a good special. They were. Always thought Firebirds was a "high end" restaurant based on price alone. It's more like upper-end casual. Several diners in shorts, flip flops, t-shirts. Casual. Enjoyed my rib dinner, nonetheless.

I went to this restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. We all were so excited to go there because most of us had never been there before. To my surprise the service was awful and the drinks that we ordered from the bar were all watered down or just plan nasty. This was not what any of us expected. The food was tasty and the ambience was good.
