This place does a lot of large parties. While I was there there were 4 different parties going on. Platters of food and drinks flowing. My dinner was outstanding.

Overall, it was good. Prices definitely have gone up (No longer pub food prices I am used to.) The place had been renovated since I was there before COVID-19. I can see they are making the franchise hip for a younger crowd. Similar design and layout as Firkins on Bloor. The location is aiming for UoT students, but only if they have a thick wallet.

My date and I showed up for our 7:30pm reservation and quickly realized the restaurant had no outdoor seating - they forgot to turn off resos on OpenTable. We walked around the restaurant looking for anyone who worked there - and couldn’t find a single person. The place was completely deserted there wasn’t even anyone in the kitchen???

The service at this place was the worst I've had in a long time. I'm saying this as someone who regularly dines out and encounters a lot of front-of-house restaurant staff. The place was probably 25% occupied, and our server took about 15 min to acknowledge our table. I had to ask my company to choose their food with their choice of drink because I could tell this was going to be one of those experiences where the server was going to be inattentive. The rest of the night proved that. We actually had to physically either stand up or wave our hands to get the server's attention who more than twice has forgotten to get what we've requested. I had a clear view of where the FOH staff hang out (at the central bar), and they would just be chatting with each other or on their phones. Again, just 1/4 of the restaurant occupied, but we had to wait for every request and remind and follow up with our server regularly to get what we need. At some point, the server recognized that we were unhappy with her lack of attention to our table and started giving us attitude and stopped trying (even less effort than she already started out with). By the time we were paying for the bill, she didn't even say thank you or said any parting words when I was checking out. I don't think you could pay me to come back here. I'd seriously ask you to reconsider your options for other pubs to spend your free time.

We've been several times before, and always had a great experience. This time, the service was horrible and our wait person couldn't have been less interested in asking us if we'd like drinks, or when I showed her my raw burger. Very disappointing.

The pub has a nice feel to it, but my fish taco was awful! The fish was too heavily battered. There was more red cabbage than anything else in it. Just not edible for me.

The only part of the dining experience I did not like was.....the music. The ceiling are too high for music....the music you are playing is barely audible, and music is such an individual thing....the decibel level your music is at is irritating. I get the feeling that you can't turn it up too much as no one could carry on a conversation....Personally I'd prefer no music (definitely music for your evening crowd though) but at lunch?....
