The Firkin on Yonge is a more sophisticated and elevated traditional English pub. Located right across from the Eaton's Centre on Yonge Street, just down the street from the Queen Subway Station, we're easy to find! Whether you're out shopping with your friends or you want to get away from the crowds of Yonge and Dundas, we are ready to be your perfect escape. When the space is full and lots of good conversations are happening, why is it necessary to have the music cranked up? We go out to enjoy talking to our friends. Not at this venue. Won't be back. Too bad because everything else was good.

- Food was good but some feedback that may be helpful for future. - No cutlery when the food arrived. Server then brought 3 - there were 4 of us - Ketchup bottle that was placed on the table was empty. Had to get up and ask another server for a bottle..she identified she had to go upstairs to get one - other than taking our order and giving us the bill, server made no attempt to come back to our table. Realize it was a busy night, but its part of a server's responsibility Feedback - why not have cutlery already at the table. 4 seats...4 sets of cutlery...if only 3 people set, take one away when seating patrons - fill up ketchup bottles on the down time...don't give a patron an empty bottle of ketchup!

To: Manager at Firkin on Yonge I just wanted to let you know that I had reservations last evening for 5:45pm. We arrived on time and were greeted by a friendly employee and were promptly seated. That is where the positive experience ended. We were seated in a booth at the back of the restaurant just under a speaker which played loud music and it was hard to have a conversation. Our dinner experience went downhill from there. We ordered drinks and dinner at the same time as the service was slow. We waited 30-40 minutes at least for our dinner . We asked for cutlery as we didn't receive any with our meal. 2 sets of cutlery were brought for 3 people. We asked for another set to which the server replied "we are short on cutlery". We did however receive a 3rd set. The dinner arrived cold. The server then offered to "heat it up for us" which we declined or make us something else which we did also declined as we had tickets for a show and did not have time to wait for another dinner to be prepared. She brought a salad for my friend. We left your restaurant hungry and disappointed. I just thought you should know about our experience.

We each ordered an app and the received them 15 minutes apart. Server changed in the middle of our visit without advising us (original sever continued at table beside us further confusing this). When the meal was served, side salad and gravy were missing. Didn't see server for 10 minutes to ask for them. Then they were provided right away and busy kitchen was blamed. It was 6:00PM and the place was 3/4 full...

Came to the Firkin pub before a show at the Ed Mirvish theatre. Great location for before a show— very close to the theatre. I had the chicken curry, my friend had the Cobb salad. Both were very good. Attentive service, lively atmosphere. Will be back!

Second time in a row that my burger was not cooked enough. I’m not finicky, but the bun got soaked in blood when I bit into it.

Stopped off for a pre-concert meal and beers. Food and beer were great but waaaaay understaffed. Waited 15 min for second round of beers and had to wait for utensils to be washed(?!?). No fault of the server…she was great and literally ran between tables and upstairs/downstairs. She took particular care to ensure we got our bills in time for the show. Will return. Chalk the experience up to a busy night with minimal staffing.

Great place to go for a bite and a drink before a concert at Massey Hall. Just make sure you have reservations. Food is good, service is fast. 👍

My wife and I booked The Firkin Pub because of close vacinity to Massey Hall and Parking. We has pre planned when where and why. The Food for the price was really good and our waitress was excellent.

Seated quickly, we changed tables on our own due to a/c above us no problem, wait staff were very polite and attentive and helpful directing us to our entertainment venue, will be back for sure :)

Firkin is a sports bar- so loud was expected! The server was great, but the entrees were a variety of nationalities, not just British. We had the Shepherds pie, but also had pork schnitzel. For an appetizer, we had pierogies. If your interested in sports games, and a lively atmosphere, this is a fun place to go.

they were out of both pinot grigio and savignon blanc - said they had a few large groups in recently. This was a Saturday night - they should have stocked up for Saturday. Bathroom was nasty!!!!

I would not go back to the Firkin on Yonge street. It was disgustingly dirty and the service was atrocious. We had ordered an appy and half an hour later our main dishes showed up. We asked where is our appetizer? Ummm it didn't get put in was the answer. No apologies or offers to put it in right away and just basically walked away. Did not care at all. No cutlery was given - had to ask. Made reservation's for 5:30ish and were put in doorway leading to kitchen. Ice water served in plastic glasses. No offer for more of water or drinks. Avoid this place at all costs.

We were seated promptly, and served in a very timely manner.The server was courteous and efficient,attentive without being intrusive.Food was good,definitely freshly cooked.All in all a very nice dining experience.

Went after a concert at Massey Hall, was very busy as the Leaf game was still on and sat us a table upstairs. The service was prompt and attentive. Would go there again.

It was my first time here and the staff - from the gent behind the bar to my 2 different servers - were fast, friendly and intelligent. The beet salad and chicken wings were tasty and the small-size on both were filling for one. Nice can of Octopusy IPA as well.

I thought the food, service, and drinks were very good ! It was a sunny balmy day we were there so the window door was wide open for air circulation which we were appreciative of. The music and ambience was not loud but great. I would go back with friends to enjoy this pub again. I would definitely recommend!

Was excited to dine here, but upon arrival waited 10 mins to get menus and see the server for the first time. Ordered, my daughters meal (which was an appetizer) came within 10 mins. 30 mins later the waiter came back with the credit machine and asked if I wanted the bill, but I hadn’t received my meal. It was a salad….not hard to make. Apologized and brought it out 2 mins later and took it off the bill. Then another 25 mins goes by with no return visit as I am waiting with my wallet out to pay. Eventually a different server comes over to let us pay and leave. So not the best experience.

We came to this Firkin for lunch before a show at The Elgin and Winter Garden theatre. The food was tasty and I recommend the kettle chips as a side. They were perfectly crispy and seasoned very well. The only downside was that my husband ordered the truffle parmesan fries as the side to his Firkin burger but he received regular fries. When he mentioned it his plate was taken to the kitchen and came back with the same fries with a few bits of parmesan cheese sprinkled on them. Also, there was no dipping sauce like a garlic aioli. Other than that it was a decent pub lunch.

Greeted and sat quickly. My salmon required a bit more cooking in the thicker area but that was personal preference. Waiter responded quickly and chef cooked the remainder to my preference. Everything was fine for the meals ordered by my two guests. Good first visit!meal

Very friendly service, and as promptly reacting to our needs as possible. Regular pub food quality---quite tasty---no complaints. Decent environment. Clean, not crazy noisy.

We had reservation for 6 at 5 pm yesterday. Once seated we waited quite a while to be acknowledged by our waitress. She took our drink order and brought them out when they were done. She did not check in us for a long while (we could have had 2 more rounds). She took our food order and then we were left again for a long time. Then she came back and took another drink order. Then we waited and waited and waited until our food came. The food was tasty. Then we ordered dessert and it took a long while too. Overall the food was good, but the service was not great. The staff were not that friendly and seemed frazzled even though it wasn't that busy. By around 5:30 it was so loud that we could not hear each other at our table. Our waitress did the 50% off our food bill to make up for the long wait for our food, which was not expected. Despite this, I'd go elsewhere next time.

The food was not great at all. The pretzels were overcooked and dry. The queso sauce I presumed would be served warm was cold. I ordered the fish and chips and the fries were bland and stale like. The fish was dry and had no flavour as well. My partner ordered the butternut squash ravioli and it again was dry. No sauce served with it. Toasted bread was over toasted and almost burnt. The table was dirty and sticky. Service was poor. The waitress had zero personality and appeared to hate her job. Never again will I return here.

I had the kale Caesar, it was as expected with nothing thrilling about it but good. Friends had a burger thought the same. Great location if you going to the Elgin Theatre.

Drinks and appetizers came right away. Had to ask the server if we could order food as they never came back after drinks were delivered. Took over 40 mins for our food and it wasn’t very busy
