Had a great night with my friend. We sampled many different plates and enjoyed each one!
Every dish was fantastic!
Beautiful place, unbelievable food and excellent service!
Took my husband to Fish Bone because I love it so much and the food didn’t disappoint. The food is phenomenal - so fresh and tasty and considering I normally don’t enjoy fish, I adored every single thing we ordered. Great for sharing!
Not worth the hype. Trying to be like Nobu or Roka Akor. Not even close. The music is loud. This place has an identity crisis.
The fish in the cevice was robust. The fish rizotto was dry af and lack of seasoning.
The food was bland at best, and the waitress was very pushy to close her table, which was very annoying. The place was nice though, I don’t think I’ll go back.
Birthday celebration for my twin nieces
Food is great! Service great! Super fun atmosphere.
Unique restaurant in Montreal, Nothing like it anywhere else.
A creative menu with outstanding flavour combinations, beautifully plated! A lively, energetic atmosphere. We sat upstairs on the balcony - great people watching- and the upstairs bartender is one of the most passionate mixologists I have ever met!
I started with martini and was perfect. Lots of selection for the appetizers also delicious and the main was so good I had another order for dessert. Loved this Restaurant. Worth every penny spent.
Thought I was going to an elegant tasty Tapas experience. Ended up in a Boul St-Laurent loud type imitation. Food was great. Service was great. Ambiance was just a screaming unpleasant experience. They should make sure to connect with OpenTable to close Tapas 24 account or redirect to FishBone. This is a pretty basic and huge error and issue.
Portions were very small, especially for the price. Limited menu. Presentation for apps was good but lacking for mains.
Better options in the city for lower cost.
Staff was well trained and very helpful.
The restaurant is a very nice cozy place. I know some of the owners. I will say that the food is exceptional I had the beef tartar and it was the best I have had in a long time. Service was great.
The big downfall is the loud music in dining hours. Couldn’t hear anything my date was saying. If you trying to have a date or just ou dining with spouse it a bad choice because you wouldn’t be able to hold a conversation without screaming to each other. Very disappointing situation and easy to fix. It not a club it a restaurant at lest till 11h
I wanted to invite some friends out for dinner, so I reserved at fishbone a week prior to the dinner. After arriving to the restaurant (on time), the hostess greeted us and explained that the party before us are paying the bill and would leave our assigned table shortly. We said it’s fine and won’t mind waiting a couple of minutes until they pay. Ten minutes passed by and we could see that the party prior to us, were not leaving anytime soon. So I asked the hostess again if there was a problem. she said the restaurant system is down and all the current tables can’t pay, so she can’t seat new tables at the moment (although she seated multiple customers while we were waiting, and some of whom arrived after us, leaving us the only people waiting!). After waiting for a total of 40 minutes, we could see that the situation won’t resolve anytime soon, we asked the hostess if there is anything we can do since it’s almost kitchen’s closing hour and no restaurant will accept us at this hour, the hostess suggested “we go eat ramen”. So I want to personally thank fishbone for their lousy service, useless hostess, and most importantly ruining my night:)
Music too loud. Food fantastic
Whatever you do, get the beef tartare to start. You can't go wrong after that!
Amazing food and amazing service!
Perfect Food with Great Staff, especially the Very Special and Wonderful Mixologist... Rather Noisy, later in the evening, but this goes with this kind of crowd. Our second visit, just as great as our first, but definitely not our last !!!
Fish bone was created in the former site of a Portuguese tapas restaurant but that is where the comparison ends.
While tapas and sharing plates have been synonymous with expensive and skimpy portions , Fish bones plating for its appetizers are beautifully plated and substantial.
The creative menue allows for group or duo sharing as well as mains that are certain to bring you back with a nice wine selection and varied hot and impressive cold saki available . It’s evident from the hip crowd that Fish Bone and its new vibe closer to the old port than Griffintown has attracted the clientele required to keep this higher end venue going. Service was very knowledgeable and professional which of course is the key to assure returning clientele . In conclusion a place not to he overlooked for a date, getting together with good friends or with out of town guests
Absolutely loved our evening at Fish Bone. The food was excellent and the service was perfect, I definitely reccomend!
Gréât restaurant !! Delicious food, beautiful restaurant and friendly service.
Great ambiance. Food was delicious. DJ was chill. For an older crowd late 30’s and 40’s
Bartender girl with short hair is rude. Cared only about her two friends at the bar. Multiple people complaining about her and she didn’t seem bothered. Not the vibe you want.
Great food and ambiance! The only thing the service wasn’t as great towards the end. Our food was spilt a few times and we felt super rushed towards the end of our service (we still had over 30 minutes before our reservation ended). With that being said, it’s still a great place and I would definitely come back.
Food was amazing!
Waitress was super nice and helpful!
Music and ambiance was on point!
Def be back the next time we can get a babysitter for the kids 😉
Was a bit dissapointed for the 2 hour service limit but in the end the waiters we’re so great and accomodating and not stressful at all.
Amazing atmosphere, barmaid upstairs was wonderful and our waiter Guillaume was also great
We were 7 people and spent over $1000.00 and were treated like trash
I will never go to this horrible place again.
They have have a teenager bar attitude.
This is not worthy of Montreal
Des que la salle se remplit, il devient très compliqué de parler avec ses voisins de table car le bruit ambiant est vraiment fort.
Les serveurs et serveuses sont adorables et la nourriture très bien.
It was a great evening, the food is great and the service is very good
BUT the waitresses outfits don’t match the quality of the place which diminishes the whole thing
Why have the waiters well dressed and the girls on the « cheap » side ... I think you can do better without losing the « sexy » appeal of it all.
Poor customer service for the price paid, lack of professionalism
Much better choices out there.
I ordered the lobster pasta which was over $40, it was a joke. The pasta was ordinary to say the least, very buttery. The 1/2 lobster which was nicely placed on the side of the plate was a joke. A huge beautiful claw but just a tiny little piece of lobster inside. The piece of Lobster that was in that claw was not from that lobster, it's reused and the remaining body had the same issue, the tail had a smal piece of lobster that was broken up to look like it was more.
Such amazing restaurants in Montreal, sadly this isn't one of them.
It's more of a hangout place for drinks and loud music.
Took forever to get seated with a reservation. Once we got there, we were just shoved at any small table for over an hour that did not fit the entire party. The compensation was a mockery for this “high end” restaurant of Montreal. It’s an embarrassment not to get seated properly and comfortably. When it came time to pay, took another hour just to get someone to bring the machine. I’ve been to fish bone many times and never in my life did I ever get such a poor service before even being able to sit down. Don’t know if I will go back. It’s a shame!
Great resto ! Great service and ambiance !
Being our first time at Fish Bone, we were happy with the service and the food - the value was what we expected it to be. We would recommend this restaurant in a heart beat. The only down-side was that as soon as the tables filled up it got VERY noisy - to the point where we could not hear each other.
I was super impressed, was much better than I expected. Only disappointment was when I asked for some Parmesan for the lobster pasta, they told me they don’t have parm (?)
Still loved it enough that I plan on doing my birthday there.
5 year wedding anniversary
Perfect time. Staff was professional, polite and very friendly. Sat at the bar upstairs. Very comfortable. Well stocked. Bartenders we very knowledgable and fun. Made a great drink of the day creation. Food was delicious and worth every dollar. Plate presentations were great. For someone like me, who is picky on seafood, I garauntee, You won't be disappointed. I would go back anytime.
Keep up the good work guys. A+
Food took almost 2 hours to arrive. We ordered our dinner at 730 & our main arrived at 930.
It was a very pretty restaurant very expensive ! Ordered some appetizers which were good but small and salmon tartar as a main which was small also
Not great value for the food and the fish was bland
