Another wonderful dining experience. The chicken on the grill with incredible jus, welcoming atmosphere, and fabulous service make Flame and Smith a place we enjoy returning to. Always great and sincere interaction with all members of the team. Also, cappuccino was perfect.

Excellent overall experience. The chef’s choice five-course meal is fantastic and great for sharing among four people. Staff are terrific. This is my fourth visit and each has been excellent from both a food and service perspective. Very good wine selection. Very highly recommended.

Try the chef's table. It was lots of fun, full of surprises and great bites.
Make sure you are hungry when you get there - portions are generous.

Starting with the warm welcome from Evan and Jayme the minute we walked in the door to the visit from the owner/chef at the end of our evening, we couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant! The open flame method menu was creative and the food and service were outstanding. Great experience!

The food was excellent but our server honestly didnt seem to care. He barely checked on us and took forever to take our order and left us without checking for the entire time it took after the other waiter brought our dinners out til after we were done....and my water and drink were empty for over half that time

What a great space, the open kitchen is so much fun! The food rivals any downtown Toronto resto and the service was on point. We’ll definitely be back when we visit the county next!

Best food and overall ambiance in Prince Edward County. Tomahawk steak is great value for a group of four. My only wish would be frites on the menu.

We (3) had to think about this for a bit. The waitress continued to approach the table to have us order which was a bit annoying given we were celebrating 3 birthdays. The bartender was a treat. The food was fine. But county wines are not worth what you are charging. We live here - and were quite taken aback that you would price Long Dog at $73. The wine list was disappointing and expensive - too many county wines at very inflated prices.

Loved the open design concept with view of the cooks in the kitchen, wood stove, and the story about the charred wood boards in the ceiling from the old cheese factory. Enjoyed the salmon and the wine from The County, although the latter was over-priced. A great destination spot for a birthday supper. We've already recommended you to a party in Picton who will be dining there shortly.

A beautiful space and eclectic mix of interior elements. Open kitchen is stunning and the wood stove is a perfect spot for two. The bar is placed just so for dropping in for a drink but does not interfere with open space dining. The menu is tight and food exceptional. The drinks are on trend with a twist and the wine list a thoughtful mix of grape and region. The service staff have a friendly and casual aporoach and are foodie informative .

We sat at the bar and had a brilliant evening. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive and knew when to leave. Food was excellent accompanied by a very decent wine list. Although the prices were steep. When you pay $17 for five ounce pour of local wine that's $15 at the LCBO, that's steep.
Otherwise a wonderful experience all round. We'll be back.

We had an anniversary dinner at Flame and Smith this past Saturday night. A pork special was offered, with a local hog butchered by the chef himself. 3 different types of sausage, plus 2 different cuts of pork on a bed of sauerkraut with potatoes. A fantastic dish, among the best restaurant dish we had ever had. We accompanied the meal with a nice bottle of Long Dog Pinot Noir, which was divine. Overall, a great meal at a lovely venue with dedicated staff and a nice ambience. Not to be missed!

Flame & Smith was a big surprise. Everything is cooked on an open fire that you can see from the dining room. It was ( and still is ) Countylicious time, so $40 pp. Fresh oysters, beet salad, salmon main were our choices. Salmon on sweet potatoes with roasted eggplant. Most creative salmon dish I've ever had. Cozy, great service, amazing food.
Great wine list with a prize winning Chardonnay from Rosehall Run. Truly topped off the night.

Went last night to Flame+Smith since I have heard very good things about it. We enjoyed the "pre-set" dinner of "Countylicious".
It was a 3-course dinner for $40 and we tried two different appetizers, two different main course and two different desserts to able to share and try the delicious food. The attached photos do not show very well the dishes since I did not want to use the flash. But, all courses were beautiful presented and tasted delicious.
Sonia, our waitress, explained very well the different food and how it was cooked. My date's main course was the Salmon and I had the Cauliflower. In short - we enjoyed every bite of it.
One critic: The wine by the glass is a bit pricy. We had the french rose, a county chardonnay and a french red wine.
However, the atmosphere and the ambient is amazing. Even at 10:00pm most of the tables were occupied. Can't wait to come back and especially in the summertime when you can sit and eat outside.

This place can easily be described as modern classic. Excellent service . Plenty of wine, beer and cocktail options. I'll describe the menu as 'safe'. There's nothing pushing the envelope here but the simple food is well done. The wood grill adds great atmosphere. You'll find classic steak house dishes (e.g. Steak Frites, Burger) with a few hits to appeal to the 'foodies' (e.g. fresh oysters, escargot, shishitso peppers). I'de be happy dining here with anyone from my grandmother to my pretentious friends from the city. It really has something to offer everybody.

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal at Flame and Smith during Countylicious. Everything we ate was cooked to perfection and the service was great too (staff was friendly and welcoming)! We loved the seasonal choices and tastes from the local farms. The room was beautiful - love the ambience especially enjoyed the fireplace while it was snowing outside. I'm glad Bloomfield is so close to us - I hope we'll visit often.

Absolutely fantastic place that I'd highly recommend. I've been there twice now and both the service and food have been incredible. The staff are super friendly without being all up in your face, and very attentive. And they operate like a true team. By that I mean we had several staff members asking if we needed anything when they saw us sitting between courses. Price-wise, it's extremely reasonable. Not cheap, but you're getting first-rate food that looks as fantastic as it tastes. Best of all, it's neither a stuffy environment nor is it a bar with large-screen TVs. The environment is bar-like but classy. And a great mix of people, young and old. Go there! You won't be disappointed.
