We enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal at Flame and Smith during Countylicious. Everything we ate was cooked to perfection and the service was great too (staff was friendly and welcoming)! We loved the seasonal choices and tastes from the local farms. The room was beautiful - love the ambience especially enjoyed the fireplace while it was snowing outside. I'm glad Bloomfield is so close to us - I hope we'll visit often.

Absolutely fantastic place that I'd highly recommend. I've been there twice now and both the service and food have been incredible. The staff are super friendly without being all up in your face, and very attentive. And they operate like a true team. By that I mean we had several staff members asking if we needed anything when they saw us sitting between courses. Price-wise, it's extremely reasonable. Not cheap, but you're getting first-rate food that looks as fantastic as it tastes. Best of all, it's neither a stuffy environment nor is it a bar with large-screen TVs. The environment is bar-like but classy. And a great mix of people, young and old. Go there! You won't be disappointed.

Service was terrific and bar selection was amazing. Menu is somewhat limited. Strange arrangement where for Countlicious the whole table had to take it to qualify. A great place to probably go for light meal and especially drinks.

The staff and service was very friendly, not as attentive as I thought but the dishes were a real let down... The seafood platter were really disappointing, the seafood was not fresh at all and for the price you get more sauce than seafood, four girls shared almost nothing. I had salmon has a main dish and for the price of $28 it was way too pricey, overcooked, and paired with some really chunky apples that were not a good pair. Ambience was great but the food was really not good at all :( Wish I spent my night somewhere else.

Love, love, LOVE Flame + Smith! Staff were friendly and welcoming, room was beautiful and warm, cocktails were lovely and the food was fantastic. We will absolutely be back.

Great meal and overall great experience. We were four people, one a vegetarian, and the menu was accommodating to all. Wine list was diverse. Seafood tower was excellent and we'll priced. The burger was also a big hit. We had a great evening. The only area that could use improvement were the cocktails. We tried 2 different cocktails and did not enjoy either. Otherwise, we had a great evening and look forward to returning next year.

Fantastic restaurant! Everything about it is great - the food, the knowledgeable and friendly staff, service and the vibe. Customers leaving as we arrived were so happy with the experience that they just had to share. I’d definitely go back and recommend to anyone looking for a fun night out with great food and drinks.

Woodfire cooked meals. Chef Hidde is a master of his craft. Lots of variety and prepared with mainly local ingredients. We all enjoyed our meals, service and watching the chef in action with the open kitchen and fireplace

Went for a girls’ night out dinner. Service was ok (brought the wrong food to our table 3 times). For the area the food is ok with some creative dishes on the menu, but overpriced for the quality.

Honestly one of the best restaurant experiences of my life! Definelty my favourite restaurant in PEC. Fantastic food and service. Atmosphere was so beautiful and clean. Absolutely outstanding. Jamie and Sam were so warm, knowledgeable and welcoming. The other staff members were so lovely as well and I would name their names too if I could.

The cocktails were amazing! Absolutely the BEST potatoes I have ever had! Great raw oysters!

Good but not exceptional, slavish focus on their wood oven ends up making the menu rather one dimensional...broccolini really isn’t better burnt over an open flame. We applaud the snout to tail approach to meat but perhaps including slow cooked options and more unusual cuts would add another level of interest.

Excellent meal in a cozy and friendly atmosphere. It felt like home, but with a nicer decor, much better food and being surrounded by similar humans... the ones in constant search for the perfect night out.

Great meal. We had the daily pork special. Our server was fantastic. The only downside was the price of the wine...on average $19 for a 5-oz glass. We learned the next day that you’re allowed to bring in your own bottle for a corkage fee. Wish we had done that.

Dinner was fabulous, not a thing to complain about. I had the steak with peppercorn sauce, my sister had fish - both were delicious. Service was friendly and the atmosphere is inviting - relaxed yet stylish.

Chic & modern ambience but we found the meal overpriced. We were two people: had the sea bass & vegetable tart & 1 glass of wine. Total bill was $70 before adding tip. We were not “wow’d” by the food. We would not have minded the high price if it was incredible but we found both meals just “ok”.
Also did not like how the tables are set up. We were very close to tables on either side so not very private for conversation.

Beautiful new spot in the County! The food was good and tasty. Most dishes benefit from some wood fire, which adds a unique flavour. The service was fantastic - attentive but not overbearing (there seemed to be a lot of staff on the floor, which was great!).

The place was busy and seemed fully booked on a Friday night - hope it continues through the slow winter season, as they do bring something unique to the County.

Restaurant was only open for 10 days
Once food was served, not a single person came to see if all was ok or if we needed something ie: salt, pepper or even more drinks Food came very quickly but was cold We had the fish Almost felt precooked, warmed up, and served.
Perhaps staff needs a bit of training in customer service

This was my second time, I must admit the first time I was there the food seemed better. Maybe the menu will change periodically. But great interior design and I liked the wine lists which included wines from around the world and also exclusively local wines to Prince Edward County.

Fantastic anniversary dinner with my wife, the beer list was short but interesting and the oysters were perfection. Our entrees were delicious - she had the Seasonal Vegetable Tart, I had the steak and marrow. If I could go back, I would have eaten here all three weekend dinners!

We made a reservation two months in advance and when we arrived we were told we could either sit at the bar or on the patio. Not at an actual table in the restaurant. We were peeved but agreed to sit on the patio. Between the feeling that our reservation was deemed unimportant, the barn cats climbing on us as we dined and the not-so-great service (my husband waited 20 minutes before he was finally brought his beer), we weren’t impressed. Especially when we were paying so much and had been looking forward to a special dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was good but the overall experience was disappointing.
