Ordered the sourdough with butter, escargot, the 25 oz dry-aged rib eye, heirloom carrots and the blackberry pavlova for dessert. Absolutely phenomenal meal and one of the best steaks I've ever had. The service was outstanding and I enjoyed the music and ambience of the restaurant. Will definitely be returning in future to try the venison if still available. Will be returning in any case.

Fantastic restaurant. Venison rack was absolutely delicious and tender as butter. Ambience was very nice. Reasonably priced but on the higher end for sure but 100% worth it. 10/10 would and will go again and I would absolutely recommend it to family and friends

This was our first visit. The food was good but almost every dish required salt, which was not on the table. We loved the china, such a change from usual white. Our server Helen was lovely and all the courses arrived very quickly. It is extremely noisy, but that is the building construction and likely nothing you can do about it. It is very dark outside and more lighting is required along the sidewalk.

Food was delicious and our server made sure we were well taken care of. Could not recommend this place more to friends as it’s a must dine in Picton. It has a more Toronto vibe then Toronto. I would kill for their cheese cake.

All three courses were exceptional but the veal and the fish were sublime. The plates were hot and the flavours rich and delicious. The service was warm and friendly and the room is big but not noisy. We were very comfortable and felt well looked after. I recommend Flame & Smith to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.

Once again we have been rewarded beyond belief for our choice of restaurant. I think we were the last customers seated and am positive we received the same warmth, service and delicious food as if we had been the first customers of the evening. There isn't a more satisfying dining venue between Vancouver and Halifax. As always....we will be back.

Disappointing. The menu on web site not the one on offer in restaurant. Would be easy to make that current, i m not the only person to choose their meal before they go...... no lamb for me! Would be so easy to increase variety of meals too, for example a smaller size steak offered with any of their salads would be a big winner for many women.

They shouldn't group seniors with seniors, they know it and they get it! Or assume they are ok with that. Mix it up. Person who greeted us wasn't overly friendly and the service was somewhat rushed.

Friendly staff. Very pricey for alcoholic additions to the meal. French fires were a big plus. Found the cod dish to be bland. Decor not very inviting. We were seated next to the entrance to the washrooms-paying $600 for this was not what we felt was a good experience overall.

We took friends,with us to this lovely evening. We had a nice experience and most of the food was top notch. Unfortunately, my Osso Buco was very tough and had so much grizzled that I literally had to remove most of it from my mouth when trying to eat it. This was embarrassing for me. I found out that others found theirs a but tough but not grizzly like mine. The waiter dud check back early on about our dishes but we had only just started so I had not tried tge beef yet. If he had returned a bit later, I would have asked for a different main. Our appetizers were great, tge desserts Devine, but I had been looking forward to the Osso Bucco.

I had the amazing opportunity to dine at Flame for their Countylious fall 2023 menu. This year's food was incredible, starting with the blue squash that was mouth-watering, the osso bucco that fell off the bone and the cheesecake that you could pass up. The chefs were generous enough to even send over a plate of endives of the house. Flame has always been amazing at taking care of their guests and treating them as if family.

Beautifully prepared food. Fresh, innovative and delicious. Bread….just yum! Wine list is good, even by the glass and not the same old, same old. Tables are reasonably spaced for conversation. Nice ‘buzz’ though. Service excellent and not intrusive.

Out waiter was very friendly, just not that attentive to us. There was only 2 of us. Welcomed us when we arrived. Brought water, and didn’t come back for approximately 15 minutes to then take out drink orders. The gal that brought us the drinks was very friendly and helpful. He then eventually returned to bring our drinks, then left again for about another 10 minutes. He returned and took our orders. The two tables on the one side, and the 2 tables on the other side received our food before us, and all 4 tables arrived after we did. We had only ordered raw oysters, escargot for apps, and steak and fries , and gnocchi for dinner, so not sure why this was. The food was fantastic, but after it was brought, he didn’t return to ask how it was. He only returned to ask if we wanted dessert. I must make a point that the young girl refilling water, clearing our plates and bringing the food was better at serving than he was.

Ambiance was nice but food quality didn’t live up to the accolades unfortunately. Striploin was tough and the Ossobucco was not “fall off the bone” as you would expect.
