Flavours of India
The restaurant was booked after reading reviews on trip adviser, it was the 6th restaurant in Kingston and the "best " Indian. We prebooked a couple of months in advance as we were visiting from England. What a disappointment! Our table was booked for 8.15 on a Sunday night, we were greeted with "we close at 9", why take the booking? The service was terrible, the restaurant was empty except for our table of 4. The starters were served 10 minutes apart from each other so we were eating alone or cold food if we waited. The poppadoms, we were given 2 to share between 4 and no chutneys until we requested them times. The wine was very expensive and the whole meal was over priced. We were going to walk out after the first course but had to call a taxi and probably wouldn't have got a table anywhere else at such late notice. We ate out every night we were away (4 in total) and this was by far the worse meal I have ever eaten.
Great authentic food, we've tried a few things from the menu and have always been very pleased. Very nice decor, a sparkling gem in the grey upper Princess area!
Great food. Friendly, attentive, professional service.
Everything was awesome food service ambiance was excellent
Food reheat and not prepare by the order, restaurant was closing at 9pmand they stopped the music at 8h40pm to let us know that it will be time to leave. Not a really good experience.
Great food as always!!
Excellent experience !! So much choice on the menu ... best I’ve seen. Food quality was excellent - service was top-notch as well. Very reasonably priced. Great value !! Highly recommended !!
The food and service were both very good. If you enjoy Indian cuisine then this restaurant is a really good choice. It was a Saturday evening on the Labour Day weekend, but not too busy.
Excellent dining very prompt and courteous service, very friendly staff and management, all types of spice from mild to hot, and very authentic.
Consistently excellent food and service since they opened, very friendly and courteous
I like the food here more than any other Indian food restaurant in Kingston.
Making my reservation on OpenTable, I arrived at the restaurant (street parking available) and was struck by the modern and striking decor. Now for the food. Though I do not eat Indian food a lot, I do enjoy it. The chicken tikka masala was unlike any that I have had before. It was exceptionally flavorful. It was on the spicy side of medium, but that was ok. My usual traveling companion would have ordered a less spicy dish. I also ordered the garlic naan. This also was exceptional. Be prepared for a lot of garlic. I also ordered a glass of a good Cabernet.
Delicious food! Enjoyed it immensely. My new go to place in Kingston for Indian food .
Great meal, we took the combo which was amazing for sampling appetizers to dessert. The service is excellent.
Staff are very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The menu is varied and our party of 4 had no problem finding something that each liked.
Third time at Flavours of India and every dish has been delicious!
Best Indian restaurant I have ever experienced. Great service. Highly recommend.
Second time dining here. Impressed both times. Vegetable Pathia and Tandoori Chicken were delicious. Naan bread!!!! Highly recommend.
Excellent food with a nice ambiance. Attentive service without invading you sense of space.
Food and service excellent! My first time there. I would definitely recommend it!
Food was excellent, service was spot on. Would go back without a second thought. Best butter chicken in Kingston.
Great food and great environment
Fantastic dishes and attentive service. Looking forward to our next visit.
The food is very tasty and the Naan is best I’ve ever had.
Delicious food, enjoyable evening will definitely return
In our years-long patronization of Indian restaurants, we had come to look forward to these culinary experiences as real gustatory treats. In most cases, these restaurants also provide a degree of "atmosphere" in the way of decor and music. Not so "Flavours of India." Save for a rather two-dimensional rendering of the Taj Mahal on a rear wall, this "whitewashed" excuse of a restaurant is Indian in name only. The adjectives that spring readily to mind in describing their food are: bland, disappointing, timid, and insipid. Coupled with a somewhat haphazard service by the wait staff, and one has a dining experience destined to be written off as a bad choice. Sorry to say.
Best Indian food in Kingston!
Delicious every time.
The food is very good and service was courteous but our Naan bread did not come until we had finished our meal. We had the dinner for 2 which was quite complete but a bit pricey.
4 star review only because 5 star should be extremely rare.
Food was very tasty , the variety we chose was mild to very spicy hot.
Service was super friendly proffesional and polite.
The staff are not Indian , they are from Bangladesh.
Similar to Indian but not culturally the same , and you can see subtle differences in the food.
Well worth the visit.
Tasty and Fresh Indian cuisine. Attentive service. Clean, modern, comfortable, and spacious. Definitely worth a visit. One of our standby choices in regular rotation.
We were delighted to spend our 28th wedding anniversary at your restaurant. We ate the meal for two and we were very happy with everything we ate. Thank for the memorable meal.
Excellent food and service. Great menu, and able to accommodate a large group .
Ok, but nothing special. Nothing wrong just quite expensive and the food was typical indian
We had a very nice dinner here. The food was authentic and flavourful. Nice ambiance with friendly, courteous service. We had a great meal for our first visit and returned when we were in Kingston again. We tried different items for our second visit and were not disappointed. We will definitely eat here again.
I've been here a few times and it's always good. Service is friendly and prompt. The naan is incredible. Butter chicken, shrimp boohna and saag paneer all delicious. Samosas are really good. Definitely recommend.
Food was very good particularly the chicken Khorma.
Absolutely some of the best Indian food we've had anywhere in the world !!
If you love/crave authentic Indian food - this is the place. The cauliflower appetizer was over the top. A meal in itself !
Best Indian food in Kingston by far
A friend and I were seated next to the window and enjoyed a quiet, unhurried lunch. The wait staff was professional, unobtrusive, knowledgeable and congenial. My friend and I both had the shrimp curry and it was very good. The presentation was lovely. Flavours of India makes the best naan ever.
Go here regularly because the food is amazing, the staff are friendly and the service is great. Always a very enjoyable experience!
