Really disappointing. We spoke to the waiter about gluten free options who went and checked everything with the chef and told us it was no problem. When the meal actually came there was no pasta or bread as they didn’t have the gluten free option at all. So I was delivered a plain burger with some chips to the side and that’s it! Not st all what I ordered! My friends food wasn’t much better and it was off the standard menu. The waitress was abrupt and rude. The waiter was the only good thing about the place!! Definitely not returning

The food is very overpriced for what it is, and the food presentation is poor. I have eaten there twice now, once when newly opened and last time was to see if the had improved. I saw no difference and would not rate the restuarant at all! Very disappointing.

We all truly enjoyed our time here- dishes that we had were the Raclette (amazing stuff!) Poutine, Mac and cheese balls, original cheese fondue and one of the toasties. The staff was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend this place.

What an amazing place!! If you love cheese this is the place to be, the staff are lovely and so helpfull and full of suggestions. The battered cheese curds are just to die for!! We couldnt recommend this place more, we will definately be returning.

Absolutely fantastic selection of cheese and cheese dishes - pretty much cheese heaven! Had a boozy lunch there (beer, cider, spirits on the go - with option for wine and fizz). Service wasn't the fastest (only one waitress to cater for the entire restaurant on a Friday lunchtime), but she was incredibly helpful and polite! :) Good overall, and would certainly return!

Great atmosphere and restaurant. Very cosy and friendly. Waiter was very nice and helpful, especially explaining how the menu worked. The place was slightly noisy but in a good way due to customers chatting and having a nice evening. Have been there once before and decided to invite my family to try. Not disappointed and will definitely be going back

Overall pretty disappointing and seemed expensive for mains of a low standard. We had the battered curds and parmesan fries as a starter. They were quite nice but fries for a starter was a mistake. Would have been better with the macaroni main (I did ask for them with the main but was persuaded by my guy server to have them to start?). A girl served us our drinks and was very lovely and attentive. The guy was friendly but didn't listen so well. I didn't get the sparkling water I ordered with my wine. The mains: When I think of a good macaroni I always assume it will be creamy. I'd ordered the plain macaroni without any of the fancy black pudding, garlic mushrooms etc. They asked me to choose smoky or spicy. To be honest I just wanted cheesy ;-) I could choose 1 gourmet cheese from about 50 to have with it. I am not sure I could have differentiated one from another but picked a gourmet cheese from St Andrews. I was deeply disappointed in my much-looked-forward to main. Given macaroni is their main focus in this restaurant I was surprised how dried up it was. There really didn't seem like there was a sauce with it, it had all been dried in to the pasta. It was fairly spicy which just didn't feel like a traditional Mac n cheese to me. I ate it all but it wasn't enjoyable. My friend had the chips, cheese, gravy and steak strips. The steak was cooked to perfection I must say but what lay beneath didn't look very nice. She did, however seem to enjoy it. The place is nicely decorated and the service is pretty good but I felt really let down on the food. £66 bill inc tip. We had 2 drinks each but I think £7 for small portion fried cheese and £11 for macaroni on it's own a bit steep. If it had been delicious I would have been happier to pay that. Shame as I was really looking forward to trying it out. I always hope new restaurants will do a good job in Aberdeen as I love eating out but this was definitely a let down.

Not happy we waited 45 minutes to get food after ordering.menus do not stat what you are ordering.i will never go back.and for what you get the price is shocking.save your money and go to the kebab shop instead.

Flippin cheese is a great place to visit with good food but I feel the prices were expensive for what you got. The mac and cheese portion was a little small. It's not somewhere I would frequent often due to this but its definitely one for a treat. The food quality is good just not enough of it. Best of luck with your venture guys

Food was nice and really tasty. However the menu is misleading and very overpriced for the simple food, small portions for large amounts of money. £20 for two inches of fondu cheese served with cold potatoes not really value for money.

Food good and friendly service. The poutine was very good although needed more gravy. Was disappointed to find caramelized onion was only chutney, quite expensive at £1 for a couple of teaspoonfuls

There's too much cheese on that.... Said no one EVER!! Tried it at the weekend with the wife and already booked for next weekend for a party of 9. Food was outstanding with plenty choice. Staff were really welcoming and it's affordable. Best meal in years! Try it, you won't be disappointed.

I booked a table for a large party for a birthday celebration and we weren't disappointed. The booking process was easy and a request for confirmation of the reservation was emailed through the day before-again, easy to do. The table was ready for our arrival and we were greeted by the manager, seated upstairs and allocated our own server. The upstairs seating was good since we were a large group and we didn't have to worry about noise annoying fellow diners. The food was delicious and the service was excellent-our server had only been working there a short time and he managed a rowdy group very well! The manager popped upstairs a few times throughout service and nothing was too much trouble for either him or our server. One of our party had very specific dietary requirements and they were able to accommodate that with no problem. The complementary fizz we received from the manager was a lovely gesture and I would absolutely recommend Flippin' Cheese and will definitely be going back.

Lots of potential but over priced. Had basic cheese fondue which cost around £20 for two people. Would be nice to have more things to dip in and accompaniments like chutneys or grapes.
