I have been to Flour & Barley many times and always enjoy the food. On this recent visit, however, the service was quite slow when we arrived but soon a woman came to the table and apologized for the wait. Turned out she's the manager and was called in because they were short on wait staff that night. That's dedication and shows that they are willing to go the extra mile. Her name was Mimi (I believe) and she was exceptional! Turned out to be a great evening.

Great food and good service EXCEPT we feel taken by the tipping. We were a party of six and when the bill came an 18% tip was added on but we didn't notice and tipped over 20% more — a $169 meal with $70 of tips. Two problems: – Shouldn't the server have noticed and said something (we would have left them something more). – When did a party of six rather than 8 or 10 start being charged an automatic gratuity. We always tip more than 20%… but seldom 40%. Auwe! Also no kamaʻaina discount mentioned.

the location is perfect, large carpark, not so expensive compare to other places in Waikiki. few min away from the beach. the restaurant is at 3rd floor, and the view there is amazing. you can see all the buildings, busy street, and a peak of ocean food is amazing, Waikiki price though. please make sure you visit during happy hour, same service and food, much more affordable price, and much quieter dining environment.

We went for happy hour and had the meatball appetizer. It was three good sized meatballs, and I loved the pesto sauce on top. We also had the cheese board, and it was huge with 3 different kinds of cheese with plenty of grilled bread. Plus we had the house red wine which was tasty. This was an outstanding value at happy hour.

Great spot to grab pizza and beer. Staff is always so amazing and remembered our drink order from last time which was very impressive. Take advantage of the 15% off for Kamaaina discount.

Great wood fired oven pizza. I would prefer a chunk type sausage instead of the sliced that they use, but still fresh tasting and good flavor. The salad could use more cheese, walnuts, and dressing, but still fresh tasting and good greens. We will go back.

So good! Loved the view of the beautiful banyan tree that was conserved when they re-envisioned the Marketplace. Happy Hour was starting right after we got there, and everything we were interested in in the main menu was on the happy hour menu. We had cheese garlic bread, and I split a wonderfully crisp and light Margherita pizza with my daughter. My husband had the chicken parm sandwich, my son had a pepperoni pizza and fries. We all had great tropical cocktails. It’s definitely a place we’d all go back to!

The glutenfree pizza was one of the best I have had, I do have celiac disease and haven’t had an issue but I’m not sure if you are sensitive to cross contamination you might want to inquire a little deeper! It’s thick and the right amount of crispy. Even my husband and family who do t have to eat GF preferred this than the regular crust. I feel they could try harder on the Caesar salad, it was just ok

Great Place to head to for Happy Hour, where there are quite a few choices on the Menu. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We had many items from the menu, Spiked Lemonade, Meatballs, Arugula & Kale, Calamari Fritti, Chicken Wings, and the Margherita Pizza. Everything came out cooked and seasoned well. Calamari was a favourite. Depending on where you are seated you could have a great view of Kalakaua Ave or just people watch in the restaurant.

Went to this restaurant in mid-afternoon as part of Restaurant Week Hawaii 2019 (party of 8). Appetizers didn't arrive for a half hour, and it took some prodding to get one person his salad. One out of 2 desserts on the prix fixe menu was out of stock, as were 2 out of 3 beers in the beer pairing (and our server seemed confused as to how that whole pairing thing worked). Meatballs and cannolis were tasty, but the pizza seemed overcooked. I've had good experiences here before, but this visit was disappointing enough to make me seriously reconsider whether I'd return again.

Saw this restaurant on restaurant week and wanted to try it. First impression was the restaurant was really nice and the view is amazing of the Waikiki Strip. We ordered the calamari appetizer and a farm fresh pizza. The handmade lemonade was extremely sugary!!! The plates that were given for our meal were all chipped up. The calamari appetizer was really good! The pizza was undercooked to our liking however but we both ate it. It made both of us sick though... We expected so much more especially with a $50 tab for an appetizer, pizza, and a lemonade...

Both the woman who greeted us initially and our waiter appeared to be just going through the motions. Previously (many times) we were treated enthusiastically by both the hostess and waiters we had. The restaurant was not that busy and there should have been no excuse. The food (pizza and a couple of beers) was good and service adequate but no one really seemed to think it is important have their guests want to return.

We both ordered the Chicken Parmesean sandwich that comes with arugula salad balsamic dressing and parmesesn cheese (presentation, taste, texture was great!) Service was awesome, friendly and inviting...the prices very reasonable. Definately will come back here again.
