We were really excited for our dinner, but it was closed when we went there at the time of our reservation, the restaurant even texted to confirm the day before.

The evenings’s menu was tasty, but sparse. I enjoyed what was offered (bone broth, dumplings, and lemon curd), but I was hugely disappointed that the advertised 6 course meal had been cut down to a meager 3 course meal, without notice, and that the wine (by glass) was just one unfamiliar red and white selection. If I had known in advance, I would have dined elsewhere and tried Flower + Bone on another occasion. I was prepared for a much different experience.

Very strange experience. Bought prefix menu for entire table. Generally, pre-fix includes one dish per person per course. The main dish came to table of 4. We were instructed each to eat one dumpling with one of the 3 salads. My math tells me we should have 3 dumplings each if this is the way the dish was intended to be eaten. We ended up with 10 dumplings total and had to split two. When dessert came, they served only two dishes to be split between four people. The dessert was a quarter sized truffle and lemon curd. So we each had one small bit of truffle and a bit of curd. I am happy to share with my table, but when I order pre-fix I expect we each get our own portions. I figured the shortage of food might have been a fluke due to demand of restaurant week, but read other reviews and this seems to be the norm here. Second odd experience was having the owner/chef come out and talk to us as though she was wait staff. Saying, “the chef tells me she named this dish after...” maybe she didn’t know we knew she was the chef, but it was weird. Why wouldn’t you represent yourself honestly and proudly to your patrons... the food was good, but the overall experience left my entire table feeling put off. None of us will be returning.

Unfortunately this was not a great experience. I like their other restaurant The Naked Pig a lot and had high hopes for Flower and Bone. My girlfriend and I went during restaurant week and did the 3 course prix fix. The first course was a chicken broth soup that was barely warm with a bit of broccoli and quinoa topped with .bearnaise sauce. Flavor was good but a small portion and not hot. The main course was literally 5 small Asia size dumplings with 3 very small kimchi size salads and 2 slices of bread. This portion size was barely enough for one let alone 2 people. Finally we received our dessert which was one very small truffle and a tiny portion of lemon curd. Now I think the quality of food was great and the flavors were awesome but I was blown away by the small portions. We left totally unsatisfied and had to stop at Whole Foods for more food. The meal cost me $122 with a 20% gratuity already added. I can’t say anything bad about the food just the amount.

Just know that if you want to have an intimate conversation with somebody this is not the place to go. It’s communal eating which I absolutely love because we got to meet some really nice people the food was fabulous unfortunately the portions are very small that’s the downfall to get expensive but I don’t care it’s worth every penny and every bite I’ll just have to order two meals lol

I was disappointed by the service. While the food was pretty good, it was expensive and not cohesive. Our server did not explain how to order off the unusual menu. He was nice enough but rushed around and didn't make recommendations or help us try this new experience. I thought the lentils and flat rye bread were good. The chicken was good but expensive for a leg and wing. We ordered the salad and shared and it was quality. We also ordered roasted vegetables. We weren't told that they were out the meat balls until after we ordered them. My husband ordered a specialty drink that was changed from the menu and tasted odd. We ended up going to another restaurant afterwards for dessert because we wanted some better service. It was too expensive for inadequate service and the hodge podge menu.

Inventive, creative, imaginative preparation of clean, local food that is fresh & in-season. Portions are small by many California restaurant standards, but the food is so satisfying, you leave satisfied. Terrific service - attentive, knowledgeable & friendly without being intrusive. Great for a slow-paced meal when you want to have a good conversation. Charming space. My only regret - on the multiple times I've eaten there, they rarely have lamb (will only use local & difficult to source?).

Flower and Bone is a unique addition to the Sonoma County restaurant scene. Chef Dalia uses local, seasonal ingredients to prepare delicious dishes with an eastern European flavor. The "Full Story" tasting menu is an explosion of new and familiar flavors blended together with beautiful presentation. Any dish prepared in the tandoor oven is not to be missed! In addition to "of the moment" seasonal selections, Chef Dalia has infuses many dishes with the flavors of produce she preserved last year. Plan to arrive with an open mind and an empty stomach to enjoy the whole Flower and Bone experience.

Amazing experience. Food is lovingly made, foraged and crafted. Staff are knowledgeable and passionate about what they are serving. They are intimate and approachable. The quality is what you would find in a major city where the Michelin inspectors are rating. This is at least a star in my book.

Glad to see a fresh concept like this, but there are many missteps in the execution. Enjoyed the personal food made by the chef, really good homey cooking. Loved the quirkiness of the menu though that leads to awkwardness with items that could be offered. Enjoyed the friendly service it for the price point it's just not very professional. Tables are oddly narrow. Eating plates are tiny and if used should be freshened at each course. Some of the concepts just don't make sense. With all that said, much of the food was a delight! Really fresh and good. Hope they can make some adjustments to the menu and service so that they can survive. We are only one of two tables on a Saturday night.

This place is a foodie delight. Went relatively late (8:30) on a Saturday night and were about the only ones there. Ambience is simple and homey. Feels like you are eating at the chef's home kitchen table. There was a car show earlier in the day which closed the street and apparently decreased patronage that evening. We had the "full show" which is their multi-course fixed plate dinner. Small plates served family style. All were exceptional in flavor and in presentation. Service was excellent. Wine choice limited (local sourced) but matched well with the food. Only issue is it is expensive for the amount of food you get but we are not big eaters and did not leave hungry. Cost for the two of us was over $200. Overall we had a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend to someone who appreciates inventive locally sourced cuisine.

Flower and Bone is a fine destination for foodies featuring locally grown produce and organic meats. Their broths are from bones and flowers are used as as a flavoring ingredient. The cuisine is original and cutting edge. The owner/chef is a warm and welcoming host. This isn't a restaurant for the meat and potatoes crowd, but rather for people that appreciate the fine food revolution/

I was very happy with my dinner at Flour & Bone. We both had the daily tasting menu. The courses were very interesting, tasty and well executed. Our two servers were very welcoming and answered our many food questions. The decor is handsome, but a little on the "spartan" side. I do wish they offered a few more wine choices, but their corkage was a reasonable $18. I will return .

This was my third stop during Sonoma County Restaurant Week and my least favorite of the three. While I appreciate what they are trying to accomplish here with the foraging and using only local purveyors I didn't feel like I got my money's worth and was not wowed by the meal. I also am not a fan of how they do their seating community style. It's impossible to have a private conversation and I was seated against the wall on a board attached to the wall which was not comfortable at all. The food was good but at $39 and compared to the two other restaurant week venues I visited Flower + Bone was the least satisfactory of the three.

Great decor, great food, small portions, poor value, cocktails interesting but short on alcohol, service spotty - "green" at times. Dined during Restaurant Week - portions served as family style just weren't enough food for the cost. Interesting menu with great flavors, preserved food items. Clearly this couple from "The Naked Pig" is doing something near and dear to their hearts. I just wish they would share more of it with us for the price. Yes, I will return and look forward to a visit soon.

We had great expectations for our dining experience that didn't really materialize. The hostess was cheerful, but there seemed to be a lot of "no nos" to the place. They wouldn't seat me until my dining companion arrived and we both ordered our meals. Then, the bench along the wall is too narrow for comfortable seating. On the plus side, I want to say the food was prepared with great care and attention to plating. But the flavor combinations (mint and other herbs in the chicken wrap) didn't sing out and the beef bureg seemed undersalted and therefore flat. And they seemed to be dishwasher conscious because they didn't want to bring me a fork or a knife, because I ordered the wrap. They finally agreed to bring me a fork, but my companion and I had to share a knife to share our meals! The $12 sugo cocktail was way overpriced and also lacking in interesting flavor. $60 including tax and tip, for two $15 prix fixe lunches seems too much to me.
