Big dining room that is rather noisy and too busy, lacks charm and authentic touch. Service was ok. It was restaurant week so it was good value for the food served. They didn’t explain really how it works, flipping the round disks to green when you want to be served, but once they told us it worked pretty well. Plenty to eat, the best meats are the steak slices, but you can’t always get the level of cooking you would like. The sausage and wrapped chicken are uninteresting rather dry and tasteless. Wines by the glass are pricey as is the bar. There are better steak houses.
Very busy being Restaurant week in the city. Had 745 reservation and waited 25 mins for table in packed bar. Bar staff was very busy and not very attentive. Food was great as always.
Fogo never seems to let me down, the service was phenomenal food was amazing and just the overall experience was one in a million
Wasn't the first time there and certainly won't be the last. Excellent as always!
I loved the amazing service we received. We had a specific host but everyone who passed the table asked if the could help with anything and they did. The food was good. Even though they were known for the meat, the side dishes were good also.
Restaurant week is a great deal and the only time I go bc I can't eat that much for the regular price. Food and drinks were good, but we waited a LONG time for some one to take and get drinks.
As usual simply fantastic. We used to come there because is our group favorite place. Only one minor thing, we came for the restaurant week and we didn’t get all the kind meat present in the menu for that promotion.
But understood that the night was busy and we will come with pleasure again
We had a reservation but the wait was about an hour longer. Luckily we were able to sit at the bar and have a few drinks and bread. Meat was delicious and salad bar did not disappoint. Other than the wait time, the dining experience was a hit!
The food was outstanding. It arrived frequently, with lots of variety. However, it took about half an hour and asking at least four times to get the check, which was very disappointing. I'm glad I went, but I'm not in a rush to go back, because of the service.
This place is amazing friendly people the management is always so nice we always go there at least ones a month we enjoy it so much Thank You!!
I have been to fogo plenty of times but this visit was different and was likely due to it being restaurant week. I arrived well ahead of the restaurant week special time but was still there by the time the special started. You noticed the shift of more people and less food coming to the tables. There was a point where they had to give us a raised card holder to show we had our card flipped to green.
None of this would ever stop me from going to fogo. This doesn't bother me but could bother others. My recommendation would be... Go during lunch. You get the same delicious food and cheaper than dinner prices.
We did not have a chance to eat here. Made a reservation for 9pm and at 10:15pm we were told they would not be able to seat us. Had to go elsewhere.
Warning: we have been to fogo endless times, and we always make a reservation beforehand. Just like usual, we reserved a time, but we were not seated until exactly an hour after our reserved time (no, we didn’t get there late). I’m assuming they overbooked themselves and ended up packing everyone in the bar section (maybe make money off drinks?). I just hope this doesn’t happen in the future as we love to go here very often. After we were seated, the service was surprisingly steady given the fact that it was restaurant week. Overall, management is to blame for our upsetting beginning, but the other staff was great, so we left with wide grins on our faces.
Made an 8:15 reservation on opentable. Stood waiting for a table until 9:15, at which point we left.
This was my second time at this location. I was extremely disappointed this time. Service started out good, but they were completely overbooked which made they experience unenjoyable. The visit was during restaurant week, we had a reservation and were seated promptly. I think they were taking a lot of walk ins as well which caused the chaos. The men serving the meat were pretty consistent. Our server was busy so could not refill drinks. When we ordered dessert 3 times the server asked if we were eating there, which we answered yes. She brought it to the table in a cardboard box and gave me a small shrimp cocktail fork to eat it, and said I couldn’t remember if you were staying. It took us over a half an hour to get our bill, I had to track down a manager. He apologized, I said service was really bad, he said “I know”. Very disappointed that such a high end restaurant would take so many reservations and tables to not make the experience enjoyable. It was complete chaos, when leaving we could barely get to the door with all of the people waiting to still be seated at 9:30pm.
The food is always amazing. Always worth the money for the quality of food that you get. The Lamb chops are my favorite.
Fogo de Chao is a great place to go if you like lots of meat. We went for Restaurant Week and still did the full experience because the best meats weren’t on the discounted menu (which makes sense). We made a reservation and thank goodness we did because it was SUPER packed. The service was decent, neither horrible nor outstanding. There was a considerable amount of wait time between asking for drinks and the check and actually receiving them. Overall, a decent dining experience.
Salad bar was well stocked and kept fresh. Bacon was delicious as were some of the other items on the bar. Have to say that this time we were disappointed in the gauchos. Hard to get anything that wasn’t bloody even when we asked for something a little more done. Never saw the bacon wrapped chicken, bacon wrapped beef, sausage or chicken drumsticks. Had to wait some time for the gauchos to come around also. Waiting for ten minutes or more even when our card was green and plate empty. How can you not have any mint jelly when you are serving three different kinds of lamb? Plus, even when we asked the server to get us a certain meat, it rarely happened. Too bad, it can be an interesting place to eat and the valet parking is nice. Just at the price you pay, it would be better to choose another restaurant.
Meat be on point. I love the atmosphere and the fresh salad bar. Crem bulee. Is awesome. Will definitely go again.
This was our second time going down. We went with another couple the first time and this time was with our boys for a birthday. The meat was delicious. The buffet was better last time. The biggest problem was checking out and coordinating the valet. It took forever!! No real need to go back.
The food and service were very good (especially the filet and flan!). The 'buffet' section was sufficient, but not fantastic. The alcoholic guava beverage was good, not great. If the experience were half the cost, I would return regularly, and recommend it highly. Not worth $54 per person. Our servers did a great job. The managers even checked on us a few times, even though the place was very busy while we were there. All-in-all, the price is our biggest complaint. We went on a gift card we got for Christmas, and were very much looking forward to our visit, but it is highly unlikely we would ever go back again at the current prices. We eat out regularly, and can get a good filet with sides for under $30 elsewhere.
Fogo is one of my favorite restaurants ever! I treated my friends to Fogo for dinner because they had never been there before. They were very impressed, delighted, and enjoyed the food immensely! The food, service, and the ambiance were all great as usual, but the noise level was so high it was difficult to communicate with everyone at the table. That’s because Fogo is so popular and I certainly can’t fault them for their popularity or the noise level. I’ll be returning with some other family members soon.
Great Service and the food was delicious as usual!
We frequent Fogo often but this time the food wasn't as good and flavorful. Service was ok but not great. For the price, we didnt receive the quality.
Went for New Year’s Eve, the place is packed which is to be expected. I had a reservation and when I got there my table wasn’t ready. The reason my table wasn’t ready was because no one had cleaned it yet. When I was told my table was ready, they bring me to one table then change their minds and move me to a different table. The table that they moved me to still was not cleaned so I stood there while they cleaned my table. I later realized why it was taking so long to clean the tables. I barely ever saw my waitress and to order anything took an extra thirty minutes and another thirty minutes to receive what I ordered. While I was waiting for the bottle of wine that I ordered I looked over and saw my waitress bussing a table across the room. As I looked around I saw all the waiters and waitresses cleaning the tables. They didn’t have any bus boys/girls. I guess this was an attempt to save money but it made the service suffer. This is a clear example of a restaurant being cheap. Definitely not worth the crazy amount of money I spent!
Service was a little lacking on New Year's Eve. We were seated in the very back, and it seems like we kind of got ignored. Took a long time to get drinks, meat, silverware, etc.
The food was excellent as always! Service was adequate for other than the meats. There meat was always there if you wanted it.
We decided to come here for NYE dinner. We had a reservation for four (double date) & we waited about 20 minutes before we could e seated. No big deal. We realized it was NYE & that they would be busy. Everyone at our tabled ordered THE CHURRASCO EXPERIENCE which is the cuts of meats & Market Table (salad bar). The salad bar was lacking...figuratively & in reality. They did a poor job of keeping it replenished. Now for the meat. Of course the idea is that different servers would come to your table with different cuts of meat as long as your dial is turned to yes. Well, I watched servers look at the dials on our table on the green side & still decided to bypass us go to other tables. This happened throughout the night. Even after complaining, it continued. The worst part was when we were ready to leave & requested the check, which took 30 minutes to receive. Once we got it & gave it back, it took another 45 minutes for them to process. I had ordered an Uber when the waitress took the card thinking that she would be back before the Uber arrived. Not so. I was sitting in the Uber while my BF was inside, still trying to get his credit card back. Apparently, he had to request a manager in order to pay the bill & leave. The waitress had passed on his card to someone else to process which they never did but also never returned the card either. This whole fiasco made us late for our show. We won’t be returning.
I go every year for New Year Eve and mother’s day. This is the first time their service was just off. Stuff that should be on the table was not brought until I asyfkr it and when our cards were green we waited forever for them to bring the food over. It’s not their normal service
Most of the meats served were very good. The market bar left a lot to be desired. I had a much better experience at Chima in Philadelphia. We did go on NYE so that probably contributed to our overall so-so experience.
We dined here on nye, so it may not be a fair representation of a normal dining experience. Service was horrible. Had to ask for things multiple times, like salt and pepper or a new fork. Finally had to get up and get myself. The sides bar was so crowded, people wrapped around our table and constantly hit into our chairs and heads. Service and plate clearing was non existent. Asked for our check 3 times.
Everything was delicious The service was impeccable. The pace of food was perfect. Great New Year’s Eve dinner.
If you love meat this is your heaven on earth.
The service was very poor, some of the servers did not bother coming to our table to offer food. We were given a menu and never asked what we wanted off of it, until a manager was passing by and asked how the experience was thus far... we told him we wanted to order drinks ( they had already taken the menu from us) he brought two of our drinks forgot the 3rd person and came back with her drink 10 mins later! The food was just bland , the only meat that kept regularly come to our table was some chicken and sausage, we had to ask that server to tell his friend with the rack of lamb to stop by our table if he didn’t mind, the lamb-server was following him saying “ Quien? Ella? “ we are not spanish speakers but he kept talking to us in spanish and seemed aggravated for having spent $300 that night the service was terrible!!!
Great service and good food.
Service was a little off on the visit, but still one of our favorite restaurants.
The food was fantastic and there was a good selection of meats. Our family of four opted for the full experience of the grilled meats and salad bar. It was very busy for lunch and it felt like we were packed in like sardines. The large number of people also contributed the noise level. When we’ve come in the past, the clientele came in dressed up and made for a fine dining experience. That was not the case this time, so a little bit disappointed.
Fogo De Chao is the best restaurant to go eat! It is my favorite restaurant. There food is DELICIOUS!!
Went about a month ago and had a wonderful experience. This time we waited thirty minutes after our reservations to be seated. Still had great tasting food, but it took a while to get our server. I understand places are busy, so I will come back, but hoping it will be less waiting.
I was overwhelmed with the noise level. So loud too many small kids running around making kid noises.
The meat choices are many. Most were too chewy to enjoy. Stick with the medium rare beef tenderloin which was the easiest to eat. I enjoyed the garlic chicken and bacon wrapped pork tenderloin the most.
I felt sorry for couples coming in all dressed up for a much needed date night. Only to walk into bedlam. Kids running around people dressed for mowing the lawn or painting their house. It's a shame what has happened to Fogo De Chao.
We had a real disconnect with service tonight. We saw several meat servers running past our table never stopping. After being sat nobody brought out our rolls or vegetables. I asked twice for the side dishes as well as sugar for my tea.
Too many servers walking around not paying attention to the diners. My tea was never refilled.
We won't be back.
