    This location never sits you in a timely matter and last night was no exception. We didn’t get seated until 8pm for our 7:15 reservation. The hostess is nice but doesn’t seem to know what’s going on with the check in and seating process. The woman that seats you is not at all friendly. While the table next to us was at the salad bar she seated another group at their table. It was pretty awkward and uncomfortable watching it unfold. Avoid getting sat in the back because you will rarely see your server and the meats will never make it back to you. Supposedly the beef rib is delicious but because the man serving it always stopped short of coming to the back of the room we never got to try it. We were finally told after requesting it to a server that they just finished it and no more would be coming around. Big parties seem to get better service, avoid for date nights and don’t make time sensitive plans afterwards.

    VERY noisy. We were put at a table for two in a corner behind two large very noisy groups. This meant the meat servers frequently bypassed us until we complained three times. We could also barely talk. Our waiter did try his best but was pretty overworked as well with the groups. He earned his tip Disappointing experience after my first time that I enjoyed. Will probably not go back.

    Arrive early to allow time to find parking in downtown as parking alone can be quite expensive. Food was very good. I liked that they offered rare or medium cooked meats. Servers were very attentive and friendly.

    Speed of service was super slow. We paid for the option that included all of the meats, however, we waited about 45 minutes for the fillets while continually getting chicken legs and sausage. So many more things but not enough time to write…Super disappointed with this visit.

    Our family of 4 went there on a Tue for lunch to celebrate my son's milestone birthday. At first they seated us near a wait station. We asked to be moved, and they reseated us in the front section. It was perfect. Window let in some natural light. Quiet enough to hear the music and talk comfortably. We bought the wine trilogy. The Chilean wine we chose to drink that day was outstanding. The salad bar was a notch up from our last visit. Service was outstanding. We asked for just 3 kinds of meats. For the most part, that's all they brought. We accidentally got talked into buying the bottled water at $7.50 per bottle. I refused the second bottle, but it still showed up on our bill. They comped my son's tres leches cake with candle and Happy Birthday greeting. It was delicious. Price per person made the meal quite a good value, and the food is very high quality. We'll return soon.

    I’m a regular at Fogo. There was a short period of time after COVID when there was a steep decline in the quality of food and the service but they seem to be getting back to normal. One server in specific though, David, is noteworthy for going above and beyond. He recognizes the loyal customers and always makes sure they are happy

    Our first experience was in San Antonio and the service and the cuts were amazing. Even the market area was delicious here in San Diego not so much our server was so unfriendly did not tend to us, and we had to ask another server who is so kind to bring us additional sides and even our check definitely will not be returning

    Never had such a horrible experience at a Fogo de Chao before. No more than 4-5 types of meat kept coming throughout the whole time we spent there. Worst part was, one of the servers literally dropped a piece of meat on me and didn’t give a damn about it and left. Despite getting very upset and trying to get the attention of other servers and their manager, I was finally given a wipe and got the manager at the table after like 10 minutes of complaining until raising my voice and calling out the completely unprepared and untrained servers. I think this was the cherry on the cake of an experience that is a shame for a Fogo restaurant. I don’t even know what to do with the complimentary dessert they had the decency to serve after such a horrible dining experience.

    Slow and uncoordinated service, drinks arrived much later than the food, waiters passed us without showing any interest, dessert order did not arrive complete and had to request 3 times the missing items before getting them after the entire restaurant was empty. Will never come again.

    This review is by no way against our waitress , she really tried very hard to fix something that we believe was someone else's responsibility. As it goes, we were there to celebrate a birthday and our waitress was very much helpful with that aspect of the day. However, after we sat down from getting our food from the salad bar, our section did not get visited by any meat selection for over 15-20 minutes, the waitress asked us and I told her that much, she kindly said she will tell them. Few minutes later, we received a single visit by 3 people (2 Meat cuts and Chicken), then 10-15 minutes passed and no one showed up, she was nice and kind and I heard her talk to someone about it. Few minutes later, a server (I believe the section lead) asked me and I told him that was not acceptable, then our section got visited by 3-4 more cuts, then nothing. We gave up and moved forward with the birthday celebration and left. This has to be an organizational issue that I do not blame the waitress at all, it felt that the entire section was getting by passed and overlooked, this is the first time we have had this happen to us, we have been to Fogo in DC, VA Multiple times with no such issues. I do wholeheartedly wish that was a one off but I can not recommend the San Diego branch to any one.

    Had a terrible meal at fogo de Chao. Meat was too rare and not provided in the variety advertised and not offered frequently. Key lime pie dessert was not fresh. Only 2 items which would qualify as brunch items. Website said valet service was available for $18, but when we arrived were told there was no valet service and had to park 4 blocks away at a cost of $45. Not going back again.

    Had an OpenTable reservation last night for 7:45. There was a baseball game downtown and parking was difficult. We called the restaurant and let them know we'd be about 10 minutes late. They took our name, said not problem and that they honor reservations for 30 minutes but that he'd make a note. We were less 10 minutes late and the hostess was rude, told us our reservation was not good and the person should not have told us differently on the telephone. She then told us we would have an hour and a half wait. We left - it was a sh%$ show and from the rude hostess to the manager ignoring the growing group of unseated reservations, I'm sure we would not have experienced any better service had I stayed. I wish we could give no star reviews! Horrible experience. If you do go, good luck with that crew.

    My wife and I had a decent experience at FDC San Diego. This was our first visit to this location, and we enjoyed the food and don’t have any particular criticisms accept that the promotional seemed a little disappointing since I was unaware it did not include the proteins most everyone comes to FDC to experience. Beyond that, food was good but priced a little high considering we eat at a lot of Prime Steakhouses and my wife wasn’t able to find a lot of the meat options at her cooking temperature level.

    I have been a customer at this Brazilian Steakhouse since it opened. Without any reservation whatsoever, it was not the a good culinary experience for my friends and I. Probably the poorest. The meat selections were poor and premium cuts were almost non existent . I have not written this restaurant of, but I think it may be a good idea to look at you processes and serve better food.

    Our reservation on a Sunday night was for 6:00 pm. We arrived on time as a party of 2. We didn’t get sat until 6:45. Multiple parties of various sizes who arrived after us were seated first. On one occasion they began taking us to our table and said never mind and made us wait longer. The service at the table was poor as well. Our drinks were left empty. The meat service was absolutely the worst. We were constantly skipped over while they catered to larger tables. We finally had to complain to our waiter and tell him it’s the worst service we ever had. It was 1 hour and 45 minutes in and we had been brought 2 bite size pieces of meat. After complaining the service did get better. Unfortunately this had to be the second time in my life I had to leave without tipping. I expected more from a $186 dinner for 2. Had we received the service we got after complaining through the whole meal we had left a great tip. Unfortunately they had already made us feel like second class citizens. Other Brazilian restaurants tend to blow me away with great service. This was for a business meal and left bad taste in the mouth of me and my client.

    I was very, very disappointed with FOGO DE CHÃO in San Diego! Poor, poor service food at the salad bar; my order of mashed potato took over an hour. I have been to feel fogo de chão in the USA, but the SAN DIEGO ONE is by far the worst ever! DO NOT GO!!!! Way too expansive!!!

    Salad bar looked worse for wear, things were kind of warm, interior looked old and tired. Tables were cramped. The first waiter was nice but after drinks never saw him again. They barely came by the table with any meat and only 3 types. Sides were sad and old looking like the salad bar. Bread was deflated. Not worth it. We used to go the the one in Beverly Hills years ago and have been to the one in Irvine. SD was borderline gross, not the same.

    I normally love this place. I come here often and it is usually one of my favorite spots to eat. My brother in law was in town and we wanted to treat him to something special and he had never had Brazilian food before. Last night was a very bad introduction for him. Most of the meats were very dry and chewy with very little flavor. They kept bring us the same 4 options even though there were 16 options available. When we would request something it would take 20 minutes for them to bring it and it was usually over cooked or bland. The ribs and cheese and honey were excellent though. We had to ask for our check 4 times before they finally brought it 25 minutes later. I don't think I will be back after this experience.

    The service used to be great however, today was the worst. After paying the high price of dinner, my daughter literally had to ask 6 times within the hour and ten minutes of waiting for a slice of beef ribs.     Andrea was amazing! Very sweet to our 6 year old daughter and had the love of pugs in common! The service was top notch from everyone that served us on Sunday. Highly recommend!

    We had arrived prior to our reservation and when told we were waiting for one more in our party we then waited around 35 minutes for a table only to be placed in the very back corner of restaurant with very minimal interaction from our servers when my wife knocked her drink over she was immediately told no more alcohol when her elbow bumped the table we had been looking forward to this experience for over 8 months and then placed in the corner as if we were an embarrassment. Very displeased with this. Food only came around every fifteen minutes overall we will not be returning to this location. Not worth the value of what they charge.
