We arrived 15 minutes early and were not seated until 20 minutes after the reservation.. AFTER checking in again... yet 1/3rd of the tables were open. After that our waiter did not come over for another 10 minutes.
Went to dinner with another couple and had an amazing meal and our service was outstanding. Looking forward to going back again soon!
Nice place. Midern interior. But food was not that good and not various.
Great Service. Ambiance is very nice but food felt uninspired. Felt like a happening place. The place is not inexpensive ($18 to $30 entrees ) but the flavors of the food felt ordinary. The appetizer(Crispy Cauliflower) were excellent but the entrees (Chicken with Gnocchi and Shrimp with Grids) were ordinary. Not bad but not as good as a premium place. Perhaps we didn't get the right things. Will come back to try the rest of the menu.
Friendly greeting, seated immediately(had a reservation), waiter was timely and brought water while we decided on our food. Order was taken quickly and drinks arrived. The food was locally sourced and very good. We will definitely return. We didn’t have dessert but would like to on our next visit.
Confusion at check-in hostess re; reservations, check-in receptionist did not reflect upscale employment/eating. Noise level at dinner unacceptable with patrons reminicent of "Chucky Cheese" for kids. Food Good and our waitress exceptional for obvious understaffing and kitchen backlog. This was our 2nd trip. The first time we could not get in due to reservations at an obviously uncrowded venue. I expected much more from advertisements and ratings.
We visited on a Saturday evening, and it was not very packed. Nice decor. I ordered the gnocchi, which was very good. There was plenty of food, so I didn't leave hungry. Our server was pleasant, however as our dinner went on, he became more and more scarce. It took forever to get our check... then have him pick it up... and then to return my card. That process alone seemed to take around 20 min. They appeared to be understaffed. I would go back again to give them another chance.
Outstanding food...Outstanding Service.
Excellent atmosphere and bar area too.
Food is mediocre at best. They seem to have a cook in the kitchen, not a chef. Since this is our neighborhood restaurant, we really want to support it,but the six of us were disappointed.
The service was outstanding and our server knew her stuff. All of the food was delicious but I felt the prices were too high. $80 for dinner for 4 and we did not have drinks, dessert or appetizers is a bit much for a casual place.
I have been to Food Plenty several times. Although their food is very good, they need to add variety to their menu; maybe have more seasonal entrees
Our family went for Sunday brunch to celebrate my birthday and had a great experience. The server was fantastic! Very friendly and attentive without being too intrusive. Most of my family got breakfast items and I got the shrimp salad po boy. Everyone enjoyed what they got. The interior of the restaurant is really interesting and different - nicely done. The server gave me a gift card in honor of my birthday. That was a great way to end a wonderful meal. The only negative i can come up with is it was a little difficult to figure out how to get into the place but now we know so I’m sure we will return.
Me and my family absolutely love Food Plenty. This farm to table restaurant is definitely one of the best in the area. The food is very fresh and very tasty. Because they specialize in fresh food, the menu is not exhaustive, but heck, that is all the better.
Beautiful space! Creative menu!
Server was very friendly and responsive. Food was delicious and tasted as fresh as advertised. Would absolutely recommend to a friend!
We absolutely loved Food Plenty! We enjoyed the cornbread and crab dip for appetizers. Several of us had the crabckaes, one had the burger and roasted chicken: all delicious. Our server, Hannah was super friendly and terrific! It was my birthday; however, we were too full to eat dessert. So the manager, Patrick, gave us a $10 gift card to return! We would have returned anyway, but this was so awesome! Highly, highly recommend!
The hostess was very nice and was able to provide us two separate tables...one for adults and one for the teens! Food was excellent, exceeded my expectations. This was my 2nd time dining there and I will be back. It’s rare you find good, fresh, healthy food choices in one place. Our 1st Time guest were blown away. The service was prompt, friendly and not over bearing. Just the right amount of attention to our requests and checking in on us. The kids enjoyed themselves and did love the food.
I absolutely love this restaurant. The menu is seasonal depending on what is fresh, which makes the food even tastier. Everyone is always super friendly. I love to sit outside, but we were unable to have a table outside for our large party, which was a bit disappointing, especially when the weather was great. Nonetheless, everything was great and we will definitely come back.
Server Puanani was very good! She was very attentive, friendly and got our orders perfect!
I love all of the food at Food Plenty, but disappointed about the dessert menu. Only five... three of them are milkshakes. I seriously think they need to add more dessert options.
Menu is different and interesting. Many dishes seem appealing, based on their descriptions in the menu, and every one we tried lived up to that; they were not only appealing, they were delicious. The chef really knows what he is doing. From the fried oyster appetizer (with each oyster served on a tasty corn pudding wafer) to the Gumbo Pot Pie (never saw that on a menu before but it was so yummy that I hope to see it again, soon), to the Gnocci that were different from any we'd previously seen or tasted, to the side of Smoked Turkey baked beans, each elicited the same reaction from us--"Wow! That's good!"
Service was fine, drinks were good and noise level was moderate. We'll be back.
Food was delicious and beer menu was extensive. We liked the focus on sourcing food and beer from local farms & breweries.
The food was good but not great- slightly overcooked burger and salty carrot appetizer. Our server was outstanding though, very friendly and attentive, and kept the water glasses filled.
We had not been to Food Plenty for a couple months. Although the service was good, the food was not good. It was barely warm and taste of some of the food was not good.
Really no excuse for the food issues as the place barely had 10 people in it.
Quite a shame this is not looking good for this new place.
I do love the space but menu needs upgrading. I had brunch last week which was great. Dinner pretty mediocre overall. None of our dishes were very exciting. Crab dip was good but served basically with crackers! Gnocchi was not edible. Wait staff was awesome and efficient. Person at door working on reservations both time was rude and unfriendly and not at all welcoming! She needs out of food industry! I love the space but please work on the menu. Very amateurish.
Service was great and the decor and design are amazing. The food, unfortunately, was the worst part. Uninspired dishes lacking in flavor and overpriced for the quality of the preparation. Will not return.
Nice, clean place and the service was excellent. The food was very good. The wine list could be a bit bigger, but they covered all the bases.
Delicious fresh food and casual atmosphere. Option to eat outside, good proportions on food. There are multiple dining areas, so not every patron is situated in just one open space.
We did the outside dining, first a couple drinks at the bar then an outside table. Great view from the bar looking back through the restaurant at the woods behind the restaurant in late evening with sun setting behind it. Waitress was spot on and incredibly personable. Food tasted great as well. Eating there again this weekend I liked the whole package so much.
Dinner with the Family. The staff was very accommodating to my sons allergies.
We tried Food Plenty for restaurant week. We had to change tables because of the blinding sun, and the server was only fair throughout. The menu seems more suited for the fall, and the restaurant week menu was thin. We wanted to order some of the appetizers on the restaurant week menu but they were not offered unless you ordered the entire restaurant week menu, and similarly, they would not substitute on another plate. The lack of flexibility was surprising, and some of the dishes pretty bland. We like their other restaurants, so this experience was disappointing. May try it again in the fall or winter, but no immediate plans to return.
Food Plenty is quickly becoming my favorite place to eat.
This was our first time at Food Plenty and our expectations were high. Overall, super impressed with the ambiance, deco & service. The food was a big disappointment. It’s restaurant week so we were excited to try one of the ‘highlighted’ offerings. I chose the MD Crab Soup (Luke warm at best), ribs (dry) w/ collard greens (tasty) and cheesecake selection for dessert (GREAT). My husband had same as me and his rib offering was 2/3 of mine and just as dry. Our son ordered a burger and was happy with it. Net, great concept, decor all ties together, service seems spot on. Food needs to improve. We will try one more time in the hopes that the team is in start up mode.
Food was delicious, service was less than desirable. Waiter brought our wine out after dinner was completely finished and acted like there wasn't anything wrong with that. We sent the wine back. Other than that we really enjoyed our time and will return.
Wow!! Great food and service! I haven’t had fried squash flowers since I was a kid! My friends and I loved this place and will definitely be coming back and telling our friends!
My wife and I went there for the first time. It was Howard County restaurant week. We had spare ribs and bouillabaisse. The bouillabaisse was full of chicken, which my wife didn't eat. The spare ribs were ok. The only two things which we thought were good were the fries and fried green tomatoes which accompanied the main items. One of the things that I rate a restaurant on is where they seat you. We were there at 5:15, and the dining room was essentially empty; yet, we were seated in a small table for two while there were plenty of larger tables available. It is difficult for me to understand how we are expected to return when this has occurred. Is it too difficult to remove the utensils to make the customers feel more welcome and valued?
Locally sourced food was delicious. Tender catfish sandwich sloppy with red slaw on fresh ciabatta. Fried green tomatoes were a bit dull, but the carrot puree gave a boost. Cocktails gave a delightful kick. Dined in the glass room with view of sunset.
First time here. And was pleased with the food and service. Will be back
Everything was terrific, fresh, hot, and attractively plated. Conspicuous exception was the Gumbo in pastry, which consisted of a hollow pastry shell that perhaps once contained some gumbo, but was bereft of filling
Food was ok. My expectations were that it should be above par based on value.
