This was my 5th visit and the first time I was disappointed. Had the fried fish sandwich which was greasy with too much breading and too little fish. My friend had pineapple French toast which came out undercooked. They did take it back and cook it more. Every other time I have been there the food has been wonderful.
Staff very attentive....manager provided complimentary soup due to waiter mishap...food was good tasting but just warm in temperature
Always great food and great service!
None of the restaurants in the Victoria Restaurant Group ever disappoints. This new venture offers a unique twist on comfort food with selections for all palates. Service was great and there always seems to be a family member around making sure patrons are satisfied.
There was a very loud foursome that filled the whole place with noise. So loud in fact that at least one table was relocated. That’s an awkward situation for management. The place is constructed from Alf bar wood which reflect rather than absorbs sound. Service was quite good, but why put bread plates on the table if no bread is provided?
Rockfish and pork chop were good.
Service was very good. Food was tasty and enjoyed by whole family. Not an easy task. Our server was very accommodating to my daughter’s selective eater desires. Restaurant was a bit loud but that happens with some large groups.
Excellent service and lovely decor. Burger and fries were delicious. Other food not so much - cornbread was dry and bland. Carrots in the appetizer were mushy and the sauce needed to be sweeter. Looked and tasted overcooked and soggy. Deviled eggs were also mushy. Too much mayo and way too salty. I’d go back for a burger but that’s all. Very disappointed because this restaurant has so much potential! Maybe replacing the chef would make a difference?
We had a relaxing and delicious lunch. The waiter was attentive and helped us make selections. Everything was delicious from the skillet cornbread to the roasted beet salad. The menu has lots of choices from salads to sandwiches to full entrees. I was attracted to this restaurant because it's farm-to-table dining and the farm is local; what could be better?
We also got to meet one of the owners, so it was a wonderful experience all around.
A nice varied menu using locally sourced ingredients, but a little pricey for what you get.
We made a reservation, it was a beautiful night, so we]hen we arrived, we requested to sit outside on the roof top patio. We were given a choice of 2 tables, one was cleared but not clean. We wanted the corner cleared table so they sat us there per our request but never came back to clean the table. The waiter was nice but did not check back on us. No one Returned to fill up our water glasses, our steak was ordered medium and they both arrived rare. It was served with out a steak knife so we struggled to eat our undercooked rare steak. The overall experience was very underwhelming.
Amazing as always!!
This is the second time we were there and the food wasn't as good as the first time. Monday night, different chef? The restaurant could use more gluten free and vegetarian/vegan choices. I would recommend it for people without food restrictions but not for folks who do since there are very few choices.
Had a lovely time and ate a great hamburger. Staff also very helpful and courteous when I managed to spill my full iced tea glass all over everything.
More like food salty as the meal was plenty salty. The only flavor that really came through (chicken and dumplings, fries, burger) was just salt. The corn chowder was nicer though. Would give one more chance as this is one of few spots that has promise close to home but hopefully will be able to taste the food next time.
This was our first time at the restaurant and the food was really fresh and delicious. Though it was busy, our waitress was friendly and professional.
We wanted to like this place because we need more good restaurants in the community but it fell below our expectations. They are trying hard; they have a creative menu but unfortunately our meals were just not very tasty. My rockfish entree was visually appealing but lacked flavor and was bland. My husband had the meatloaf which was fine but nothing extraordinary. It came with plain mashed potatoes and nice fresh asparagus. We both had side house salads which were fresh but very small, really not worth the extra $5 each we paid for them. We hope they can improve their menu but on our first visit we were not impressed.
Brilliant locally sourced thoughtful food. Excellent local craft beer and wines to partake of and pair.
Another delicious lunch with a friend / business associate. She hasn't been to the restaurant before and loved it all!
I must congratulate Food Plenty for their Farm to Table concept and our Server. She was very helpful, considerate and attentive. Great service!
Food Plenty's casual atmosphere is quite industrial with the open duct-work and piping below the ceiling; but, there is a big, very thoughtful difference! The restaurant are closed off with glass walls to make smaller, more intimate dining areas that greatly improves the noise control. There were many diners in the different areas and the noise level was between quiet and low-moderate. We were able to enjoy our conversations!
(Side Note: The 6 of us eat out quite often and another restaurant we ate at had the same type of building structure but there were ALL solid surfaces. It was so noisy we could not even talk. Probably will not return in a large group even thought the food was good.)
For the food: Everyone enjoyed their dinner except one person...and it was not Food Plenty's fault. The shrimp were seasoned too spicy hot for her and she was not able to eat them. She was able to eat the cornbread and grits and we gave her part of our dinners. The tender chicken with dumplings was different with a soup-like broth rather than gravy, as it says on the menu. Fried chicken was also good as well as the vegetables, soups and salads. The gnocchi was light and tasty but a little too greasy and the sauteed onion flavor prevailed. The macaroni and cheese was cold by the time I tried it; but, later that evening I reheated it in the microwave with a little milk and it was delicious!
We will recommend Food Plenty to friends and will visit again.
I may try the restaurant again. The food was ok, the menu was too limited. Don't care for the layout of the restaurant, at least not where we were seated. The location is good, didn't have to drive far to get there. I just didn't care much for the menu.
I ordered the Rockfish and found it a little to salty. I liked the setting and will try it again. Good Luck!
Nice place clean
Nice floors tables great parking
We enjoyed our meal and the vibe very much. We will definitely go back and recommend it to friends.
2 apps, perrogies and oyster imperial both over cooked. Shrimp and grits burned and over spiced, turkey pot pie needs seasoning. Underwhelmed by all, waiter was very good though.
The food was fantastic at Food Plenty. We arrived with a later Saturday evening reservation (THANK YOU OPEN TABLE) after a hard day's work in the yard. The cocktails were a perfect way to relax. Jessica our server was very attentive, but the restaurant was still very busy. Timing on the meal needs some work at the back of the kitchen, but we were not in a rush, so everything was fine. I can see if you had small kids or someplace to be the pacing would be an issue.
Definitely will return with friends!
The atmosphere and decor were beautiful. A nice bright , rustic decor that made for a generous welcome. The service was good; but slow at times between courses. The food was disappointing. Order fried chicken which came with mac n cheese and green beans. The chicken was moist, but nothing special. The mac n cheese was lacking the creamy cheesy mac n cheese I know to be a favorite of mine. More like shell pasta with a sprinkle of parm on top. Not creamy or cheesy. Bland. My favorite part of meal were the green beans. Tasty and cooked al dente. Long wait between placing order for dessert and the arrival of dessert; not sure what happen there. Overall, I would not recommend; too pricey for below average food.
Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Amazing food and service, as always!
Not a great experience. Not sure I’ll go back. Our waiter’s shift was over and we were basically asked to pay up and move out of the section by the manager.
The bar section was supposedly open until 11 but at 10:00pm on Saturday night the lights were out and the bartender was wiping down the bar and locking up the liquor.
*the cornbread was AMAZING! I might go for carry out on the cornbread.
Great vibe, good service, beautiful restaurant, fun and extensive drink menu, attention to detail, great outdoor seating, but menu is too limited for me to go back. Not even a chicken sandwich anywhere! Not much on the menu for non red meat/non fried food eaters. We felt the salads were overpriced. Desserts were overpriced as well. Offer chicken or more sandwiches and I will go back often!
Food was delicious! We enjoyed the locally sourced ingredients. Ate everything from Meatloaf to Shrimp and Grits and it was all delicious! We will be back!!
We took our son his wife and my other son and fiancée there to celebrate a birthday. It was just wonderful. Great decor, hip and fun atmosphere and great varied menu. We had a great time and plan to return.
This place looks great, the service is great and the food is good. I'd love it more if there were a few more healthy'ish options on the menu, as there isn't much to choose from if you don't do meat and potatoes.
Food Plenty is going to be a go to place this summer
Birthday dinner. Was given a tour by the owner. The food was great, service, definitely going back!!
This was the first time we have dined at Food Plenty and enjoyed the food and service. The restaurant was less than full on a Sunday evening so noise was not an issue. My wife's grilled cheese BLT with a sizable bowl of tomato soup was a bargain at $12.00. My bison burger w/ fries was excellent. Good choice of reasonably priced wines by the glass. Interesting industrial look décor. Service was attentive. We will return.
It definitely helped booking a reservation in advance as this place books quickly and walk ins are going to wait a long time. The food was delicious although I would have enjoyed my food even more had it been hot in temperature. The children's menu selection is very good although I think a bit overpriced for kid's food. I will definitely be going back and looking forward to trying something new. The service from the hostess to the waitress as hands-down THE BEST!
Good food from local farms. Service was a little slow which I accredit to being recently opened. Delay was from when we first sat down to getting drinks. Once a food order was in and it started coming it was good.
