We had to wait a little for our food to arrive however the staff kept us informed and checked on us frequently. The food was worth the wait. Our server was super friendly.
Went on a Sat night in January with reservations. Seated right away. Everyone seemed to really like their food-salads,salmon, but mine was just okay-the gnocchi. It was warm, not hot, and just a bit bland. I added salt & pepper which helped a little. Wouldn’t order that again but would def. visit FP again. Looks great inside & the food was pretty. Also it was fairly quiet for a Sat. night. Great addition to our neighborhood.
Great meal, beautiful restaurant!
I initially went for Brunch but because of the holiday, forgot it was Monday and they only do Brunch on Saturday and Sunday. I took my two kids who were under 13 years old, so it was hard for them to choose something. They both ended up getting the chicken and waffles. Chicken was tender but pretty much tasteless. The crab dip was amazing and paired with the corn fritters has to be an all-time new and great way to enjoy crab dip. Overall we enjoyed but would like to come back for the brunch.
Dessert was really good.
Food was mediocre and expensive for not being great. They need to up their game or they will not make it. We want to like it but it needs work.
The food was delicious!!! Our waiter was super friendly, upbeat and accommodating. The decor was inviting. The only negative was the hostess who seemed less than thrilled to be at work. Not the best first impression, but the rest made up for it.
They were very accommodating for our small group
Unfortunately we both made food selections we didn’t like but I’ve heard from friends that they enjoyed it. I had my meatloaf sent back and shared my Mom’s entree. The waitress was apologetic and the manager gave us a $10 gift card towards a future visit. We will try again.
Great food and atmosphere. The menu is small which is perfect and the cocktails are great. Will definitely return!!
Had or first visit to celebrate our anniversary and WOW! We loved this place. Lovely ambience by the fireplace and terrific food. We will be back with friends!!
Our waitress was great! Quick, friendly service. The food was very good. I love the decor!
Taking the kids out to somewhere new
Restaurant is inconvenient to enter. It’s on upper floor of building and entrance signage was very poor..
We had a lovely lunch and our server didn’t rush us, which was nice since we were catching up. Service is attentive but not intrusive.
This was my second visit to Food Plenty, this time with children and out-of-town family, and it was as good as the first. The service was attentive and the menu had something for everyone. The roasted carrots appetizer and the French Onion soup were big hits with our table. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes was the perfect meal for a gray and misty night! Great ambiance overall. We'll be back.
First time here. The food was great. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles. I not usually a fan but this was outstanding. The chicken was moist, the batter light and crunchy and the waffles had just a touch of sweet, with a balance of tangy slaw and pickels. My daughter had the gumbo pot pie which was equally delicious. Service was excellent and I noticed a good deal of GF items on the menu so I will recommend to friends of ours who are always searching for restaurants with extended GF choices. We will be back.
Birthday celebration dinner with 3 generations … good food, excellent service, nice atmosphere on porch with fireplace … generous gift card presented to birthday girl along with her dessert/candle.
Very pleasant evening. Flights of beer are a special treat, chicken meatball app, braised short rib main entree. Very nicely styled plates and lovely sauces. Will definitely be back.
While this was a special occasion, we visit Food Plenty often. We have been customers since it first opened. The food is always good, as is the service. They even manage to accommodate our irregularly picky 9 year old.
This is always a good choice.
We had a bit of a mix up with food, but it was handled well by the manager that stepped in. Drink service was slow.
None of us were that impressed after hearing good Things from others.
Brunch menu was great and mixed cocktails outstanding
Food was kept too long under the warming lamps. Nice menu but execution was so so.
Food and service were uneven. Some dishes were great, others were too salty and had too much fat on the meat. Service was fairly attentive, although when asked how we liked our dishes and I pointed out that one was over salted and the other had too much fat, the waiter had no response (e.g., I'll let the chef know, can I get you something else, can I take that off your bill -- nothing).
Overall, this place has potential but it is still pretty rough around the edges.
Great service. Awesome food and cocktails. The pan-seared chicken is great. Definitely worth a visit.
Food was very good. Service was great. I would defiantly recommend Food Plenty.
I've been to this restaurant a few times and I have to say the time to get food has gotten worse. I can accept long waits if it is busy but this time it wasn't. We (4) were there on a Tuesday night 7:00 pm and the front tables were 25% full if that. The food is always tasty and hot - however was it worth the wait? This time not - 20 minutes from the time we ordered to getting the food. Once done we also waited and waited. It shouldn't take 1 hour and 45 minutes for the whole experience. If you are not in a hurry and looking for a place who is also not in hurry - this is the place for you!
Food was excellent, but it came too quickly and we felt rushed. The menu was on the smaller side, would have been nicer to have more appetizers and take our time
Great everything. Quite a journey for someone with a walker.
We arrived 15 minutes early and were not seated until 20 minutes after the reservation.. AFTER checking in again... yet 1/3rd of the tables were open. After that our waiter did not come over for another 10 minutes.
Went to dinner with another couple and had an amazing meal and our service was outstanding. Looking forward to going back again soon!
Nice place. Midern interior. But food was not that good and not various.
Great Service. Ambiance is very nice but food felt uninspired. Felt like a happening place. The place is not inexpensive ($18 to $30 entrees ) but the flavors of the food felt ordinary. The appetizer(Crispy Cauliflower) were excellent but the entrees (Chicken with Gnocchi and Shrimp with Grids) were ordinary. Not bad but not as good as a premium place. Perhaps we didn't get the right things. Will come back to try the rest of the menu.
Friendly greeting, seated immediately(had a reservation), waiter was timely and brought water while we decided on our food. Order was taken quickly and drinks arrived. The food was locally sourced and very good. We will definitely return. We didn’t have dessert but would like to on our next visit.
Confusion at check-in hostess re; reservations, check-in receptionist did not reflect upscale employment/eating. Noise level at dinner unacceptable with patrons reminicent of "Chucky Cheese" for kids. Food Good and our waitress exceptional for obvious understaffing and kitchen backlog. This was our 2nd trip. The first time we could not get in due to reservations at an obviously uncrowded venue. I expected much more from advertisements and ratings.
We visited on a Saturday evening, and it was not very packed. Nice decor. I ordered the gnocchi, which was very good. There was plenty of food, so I didn't leave hungry. Our server was pleasant, however as our dinner went on, he became more and more scarce. It took forever to get our check... then have him pick it up... and then to return my card. That process alone seemed to take around 20 min. They appeared to be understaffed. I would go back again to give them another chance.
Outstanding food...Outstanding Service.
Excellent atmosphere and bar area too.
Food is mediocre at best. They seem to have a cook in the kitchen, not a chef. Since this is our neighborhood restaurant, we really want to support it,but the six of us were disappointed.
The service was outstanding and our server knew her stuff. All of the food was delicious but I felt the prices were too high. $80 for dinner for 4 and we did not have drinks, dessert or appetizers is a bit much for a casual place.
I have been to Food Plenty several times. Although their food is very good, they need to add variety to their menu; maybe have more seasonal entrees
Our family went for Sunday brunch to celebrate my birthday and had a great experience. The server was fantastic! Very friendly and attentive without being too intrusive. Most of my family got breakfast items and I got the shrimp salad po boy. Everyone enjoyed what they got. The interior of the restaurant is really interesting and different - nicely done. The server gave me a gift card in honor of my birthday. That was a great way to end a wonderful meal. The only negative i can come up with is it was a little difficult to figure out how to get into the place but now we know so I’m sure we will return.
