    My mother was served raw chicken. Luckily, our server was kind enough to refund the meal. We will not be coming back.

    Wa so excited to try FORK but the minute we walked in the experience went downhill. First we had a reservation and asked for a window booth when we got there. Was told that they were reserved for larger parties. Then 10 minutes later two of those tables were seated with just two individuals (like us) and then another one of the tables went unused the whole time we were there. Then we ordered a crispy chicken salad and the chicken was burned. We don’t ever send food back for fear of the kitchen retaliation. One great thing was the asparagus fries! First time diner….I doubt we will return.

    Food was great. The BCS salad was quite tasty. The braised boneless short ribs were also great, but a bit pricey and could've benefitted from a side of some kind of vegetables (the crispy carrot ribbons were for garnishing only)...the plate was simply (good) meat and mashed potatoes (only). However, the hostess left a bad taste in our mouths and spoiled the evening by repeatedly making excuses for her lackluster communication skills and her insistence to give preferential consideration to a server that needed a break (rather than to paying customers having a valid reservation). To her credit, she picked up on our irritation and had a manager come over to talk with us. He indicated some training would ensue (about the miscommunication), but he stuck with the rules [see below] and there was no offer of any goodwill consideration (even a glass of house wine would have been appreciated). In short, to have a truly fine restaurant, you need both fine food AND fine customer focus...we found the latter lacking. [P.s. note that, inexplicably, Boise Fork has the 'rule' that dinner guests canNOT wait in the main bar to have a drink before dinner. Apparently, they want patrons to go to the affiliated bar in the basement. Whatever.] Not going back to Fork anytime soon.

    Service was really poor. We arrived to our reservation and were seated with 2 brunch menus for a party of 6. Then when we asked for a lunch menu also, we were brought one. We shared and decided what we wanted. Another waiter approached us and told us brunch was over and took our menus which left us with the single lunch menu. Then the original waiter returned and didn’t apologize or anything but just said, “I don’t know why he did that. We are still serving brunch.” Needless to say it was confusing, no one was kind or polite. Service was regular after that. Not at all the top tier I would expect from Fork on a holiday. Food was delish though!

    Kat was an excellent server, and a VERY nice person! The noise level was a little high, but we will still be back. Loved the main courses, but the Bread Pudding was OUTSTANDING!!! Thank you, Kat.
