   They need new bartenders. The service was terrible, took forever to get drinks, as well as the follow up bottle of wine. The waiter came well into our first course to tell one of us they had run out of the fried chicken so he ordered a burger which arrived after our entrees did. Not clear if they were short a waiter or not but the service the whole evening was poor. However, the food was delicious ! Salads were ok but the starters we tried were great: broiled oysters with miso, and. grilled calamari. Salmon also good. We will give it another try for sure and hope they improve with their waitstaff by then!

   I went to Foster last night with some friends, and it was a wonderful experience! The staff were extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance is lovely… it is very well designed and is a great place for a date or get together with friends! The food was mostly amazing… although I was not a massive fan of the fingerling potato side dish. My pork chop was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. It had a cherry compote on top which really complimented the pork and made the dish something I would go back there to eat many times! They have a very creative cocktail menu, and the drinks were really delicious as well. The prices are definitely on the higher end, but the food and service made it worth it!

    Great wine list, saki list, great staff. We had the charred broccolini Caesar and the burrata and bok choy to start! I would eat the broccolini Caesar every day if I could! For entrees we had the pork chop (the apricot is an amazing compliment) which was cooked perfectly, and the lamb chops which were tender and flavorful. Sides were mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms, both amazing! We saw someone order the strawberry bread pudding which looked delicious and it definitely was! Will go back often. If you’re looking for a quieter atmosphere, this place on a Saturday evening is not going to be your spot! It was a little loud but still an intimate setting. 10/10!

    Not only was the service terrible, the food was salty, overcooked and not edible. Our drinks took way too long to arrive, we specifically told our waiter we were ordering a bunch of apps for dinner and he brought them all out at once instead of coursing them out. There wasn’t even room on our table to hold all the dishes and their response was, we can reheat it for you when you are ready. The host went around to every other table around us asking them how their meals were and skipped over ours. In addition to being one of the worst meals I’ve ever had, they weren’t very hospitable.

    A real gem. Also, restaurant is vegan vegetarian friendly, which is very unusual when most vegetarian options offer just some pasta or the sides all mixed together. Also, three cheers for the wine selection and the owner who knows her wines,

    Nicely renovated place, with good service. Menu was a bit limited. Our food was just ok Linguine with clam sauce was a bit over salted & there was a bit of sand in two of the clams. My husband had the scallops which was just decent but not great, we also had the meatball appetizer and they seemed a bit tough and overcooked…. disappointing when the bill was $175 for two before tip.

    A very welcome addition to the North Shore area. Stopped in for dinner and the food, decor and service are all great. Pricing is totally fair and in market range. When factoring in the outstanding food and service it’s a great value as well as an enjoyable experience. I’ve seen higher prices for lower quality and poor service too many times at other restaurants. As a wine fan, I appreciated the thoughtful wine list, for both by the glass or bottle options. Too many times “by the glass”service is neglected at many places with poor selections. At Foster, varietals and regions are well represented with quality wines without being too extensive or overbearing. You should be able to find a great match with your food choices. Refreshing menu! Not the same old menu that starts to make so many restaurants just feel like cookie cutter chains in the suburban sprawl. The menu really shines from the apps, entrees and even the desserts. Looking forward to seeing what the new spring menu brings! Another major plus is that Foster is Chef/Family owned and operated and the creativity and attention to detail are evident everywhere - especially in the food! Highly recommend!

    Had a lovely early dinner at Foster. We chose to sit at the counter by the kitchen, it was so neat to have a front row view of how incredible Chef Jay and his team are. Our meal was great, ambience was lovely, I’m excited to sit in the patio area once it gets warmer.

    First time at Fosters and it did not disappoint. We started at the bar as our table wasn’t ready so got a birds-eye view of the restaurant from kitchen to dining room and loved the vibe. We were seated shortly after in the enclosed porch. The owner came by to introduce himself which is always a nice touch. And our server could not have been nicer. Pizzas were amazing. Salads too. The burger was delicious and hearty. Fried chicken was a treat. And linguini with white clam was as good as any I’ve ever had. Highly recommend

    First two courses were delicious! Best bone marrow I’ve had in years! Shrimp and pasta was tasty! Fried chicken was way over cooked and dry. Beignets were super greasy. Hope they work out their frying issues, will be back to try out non fried main course and dessert! Staff was very friendly!

    Everything was excellent. Drinks were delicious (esp the wine). We had the wood-fired pizza, charred broccolini salad (my favorite), house made Malfalde with Montauk shrimp (who knew?!), and the delicata squash pqnzanella. So so good. Clear that they put a ton of thought into everything they do. Some people complain about the water charge, but I would much rather pay $1 per person for unlimited filtered flat and sparkling water than drink regular Long Island tap water (I hate the taste, and there has been some issues with cleanliness). Great spot. Will keep coming back.

    Portions were very small for the price. Four small scallops with some small cauliflower pieces in between for $42. The drinks are good, but a bit overpriced for the location at $17.

    I went to Foster within the first month of their opening and our meal was out of this world. Last night however the portion of their delicious Caesar Charred Broccolini Salad was one quarter of the size. I’m not sure the baked oysters has any oyster in them, despite the colossal shells. The burger was awesome but I was thrown that the woman at the table next to me was served French fries yet mine came with a pile of taro root chips. If not for lack of consistency I would give them an A, but last night had a couple too many surprises.
