   What else could we ask for? Excellent food, lovely setting, great atmosphere and right in our backyard. Kensey did a very professional but personable job of taking care of us for my wife's birthday. Her recommendations were spot on. We'll be back! p.s. - love the "Smile and Wave" signs.

   Our server, Kristian was wonderful! Attentive w/o being overbearing We had chopped salads which were large enough to share, the corned beef sandwich, which in all honesty was not true corned beef… just more like a beef sandwich, and a delicious apple cobbler- which would have been better if it was warmed. The ambiance and service were great, I just felt the kitchen missed the mark a bit.

   We stayed at Pursell Farms for NYE so we made a reservation at Old Toms Pub. Service was just ok, food would have been better. It arrived at the table cold. Not many people were in there dining either, maybe 3-4 couples. Probably wouldn’t eat there again for the price and cold food.

    We eat here often but tonight’s experience was tragic. We had reservations along with several others due to a local school dance. We waited a very long time for our food which wasn’t the tragic part. Our server was also the host who was busy seating people. We saw our server when he took our order and then never again. We had two $50 steak plates at the table so you think at least someone would have checked on the steaks, but why should we expect that when we also never got drink refills and had to have our entire meal with nothing to drink. Two hours…that’s how long we were there from start to finish. When we finally fagged our server/host down to ask for our tickets the kids had already missed their dance lead out and we still ended up waiting on him to wipe down and bus 3 more tables and sit more people. Take care of the customers you have when you’re short staffed and already delivering terrible to none existent service. We spend too much money here for this type of experience! On a night where there were so many planned reservations, this did not sneak up on anyone and I blame management.

    I got the chicken na biscuit and the biscuit and tater tots tasted a little stale or old, the chicken was full of grease when I bit into it. Was my first time, I will still be back to try something different.

    Family get together Server was sweet but clueless. Our reservations were for 1215 but did not get seated until 1230, as our table was not ready. We had been there for 35min and she still had not put our drink order in, and we had ask. Then we had to ask where our food was after an hour. We had reservations for the UTV ride at 2p. We had to eat in 20min so my 82yo dad was rushed. My husbands burger was way over cooked. And my ceviche was just ok. I am typically overly praising of places I go eat but need to give some constructive experience if you want to keep this place running. My family loves this place and the history it has but it needs to step up in this category.

    We dined a few times at OldTom’s Pub while staying at The Inn. Each time the food was great! General pub fare but each item had a twist. The Chicken salad Salad was served with a blueberry vinaigrette; the Turkey sandwich had a jalapeño pimento cheese spread; the hamburger was served with tater tots. The breakfast buffet was a good selection and very reasonably priced. The service was inconsistent- maybe they were short handed. Atmosphere and engagement with staff are very nice.

    Old Tom's is oozing with character and ambiance. The food is excellent, but most choices are well prepared bar food. There are a few expensive white table level entrees. I had the shrimp and crab sandwich which was very good. My husband had the oyster wings appetizer and a BLT, both of which were quite tasty. Wine list is good. The view over the fields is spectacular, so try for a window seat.

    Great experience! We had the chicken wings, which were flavored just right w/ homemade ranch dressing and the salad sampler plate. The 3 salads were tasty and the crudités and Lavosh were perfect accompaniments! Can’t wait to visit again!

    As a real estate agent I always take my clients to Old Tom’s Pub for food and refreshments after looking at houses and you never fail to deliver. They are always surprised to find this level of great food, superb service and ambiance in such a remote area. Thank you so much.

    I made a lunch reservation, not knowing how busy it would be on a Saturday, for a standard table, not the high top, as this was a "date lunch" and we didn't want to feel as if we were in a sports bar. When we arrived, the standard tables had not been cleaned, so we sat at the high top. No big deal. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We ordered the pimento cheese appetizer and it was okay, but the chips with it were delicious. I wish I would have just ordered chips as my meal. Since we drove from downtown Birmingham for this we ordered entrees and not typical lunch fare. We got the short rib, which after a few bites I did not eat, and gave it to my husband, and he ordered the strip steak. We swapped halfway through and I ended up giving it all to him because it was terrible and chewy. The mashed potatoes were good and the restaurant has an excellent view of the course and open fields.

    We were looking for something different so decided to try. Set on the golf course at Purcells Farm. Feels more like a 19th hole bar than a fine dining restaurant. Atmosphere was people playing pool and drinking cocktails. Since it’s also a destination wedding venue, the guests took over and became quite noisy. Foos and service was fine but not a very good date night place.

    WE. LOVED. THIS. PLACE! We were there for Joy’s Birthday. I found it online and it was a place neither of us had visited. From the time we drove on the property until we departed our experience was fabulous! She thoroughly enjoyed the Bone-in New York Strip while I had the Braised Ribs. The Brussels Sprouts were absolutely the best I have ever had. Service was top-of-the-line. We wanted for nothing as the staff briskly fulfilled every request. We will return soon!
