   Food was adequate but not special. Service was a bit awkward; the chicken that was to be added to the salad arrived 10 minutes after the salad was served. However, our servers were very nice. The wine list LOOKED impressive, but none of the reasonably-priced wines on the list were actually available. Had to settle for wines by the glass — very good selection, but a bit pricey.

   The Fountain Lounge never dissapoints. The piano music sets the mood for a fun evening in New Orleans. We love the cheese board and a glass of wine while listening to the piano player.

   Opentable allowed me to book at the time when the restaurant was closing, so I was unable to eat. To make things worse a restaurant staff member had a violent outburst in the middle of the restaurant (and yes, she threw things). I would like to go back, but my first experience was not good at all.

   My friend and I are Saenger Season Ticket holders. In the past season and the current season, we have dined with the fountain lounge. We dined the past several years for Christmas also. You have an advertised online theatre menu, which we’ve dined before and enjoyed very much. We looked online and viewed the menu so we could order prior to our show. The waiter took our drink menu and returned a few minutes later. When he returned I gave him my order. He told us he has been a waiter for one year and that menu was not used since his employment. Astonished I told him I had used this menu in the past. He denied taking our order from the online menu. We ordered other food, which was very good. I am obviously disappointed because I should have been able to order my food. I did not make a scene but next time I surely will ask for the manager. If this theater menu is not available please kindly take it off of your website. Theresa Sullivan

    We had a burger and fries, garden salad, and crawfish and crab dip with crostini. The food was very good. I particularly liked the salad dressing. The crawfish and crab dip was tasty and quite spicy. Our reservation was for 6 p.m. on Thursday. The Fountain Lounge was very busy by the time we left. The service was a bit slow because of the crowd. We have been there several times and always enjoy the experience. It is a nice place to have a bite to eat before symphony performances at the Orpheum across the street.

    Food was delicious. Services was outstanding from the moment one arrived. Environment was perfect with piano music. Clean. Location was great , the downtown of New Orleans at the Roosevelt Hotel.

    Valentine's Day, however, the restaurant was not very busy. The entrees took an exceptionally long time. The meal was not as advertised. 1/2 chicken, was actually 1/4 chicken. Our waitress was apologetic for the lengthy wait, but it wasn't her fault.

    The service was pretty poor and took several attempts to get the attention of our server. The fries arrived cold and it appeared that he had very little desire to assist us. I’ve eaten here a couple of years ago and bragged about my experience and have to say I won’t be back on my next trip to New Orleans.

    We came for the Monday Night Fried CHicken Special and we were not disappointed! Excellent chicken and the Red Beans and Rice were AWESOME! We will be back and we will bring friends!

    Server was nice but absent, and was barely more than a note taker. Food was terrible and overpriced. The decor at the Roosevelt was beautiful. The restaurant was truly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The chairs were comfy. That’s the only positive feedback I can offer. Wouldn’t eat here again if it was free.

    The breakfast buffet food was varied and good. However the omelette and grits bar didn’t have anyone to take your individual order. So no omelette for our group. $28 for a buffet was pricey. But all food in New Orleans is pricey. Next year we will just view the decorations and go else where for food.

    So the brunch was awesome! Everything tasted awesome. We went back for Christmas dinner and something was off. Food was cold a maybe forgot us. But they made it right with us. The brunch was magical! The hotel is decorated beautifully! Magical! Christmas dreams come true.

    We were celebrating our anniversary and requested the Réveillon menu. The appetizers were okay, but the kitchen allowed the fondue to develop a skin o top before it was served. The gumbo was the worst I have ever tasted. It was salty, the rue was burned, and it was as thick as mud. My duck entree came out cold and tasted awful. The presentation made for the most unappetizing plate I have ver seen.

    Very festive at The Roosevelt for Christmas. Service was very, very slow but the waitress was working all the tables by herself. The food was very tasty, not a lot of choice. This would be a great stop for drinks with friends!! Overall we enjoyed our experience.

    Fun spot before going to the theater. It was very busy but the wait staff did their best and we were in and out in a little over an hour. My son enjoyed the steak and loved seeing all the decorations.

    What a fantastic dinner we enjoyed! The deep roux Gumbo was excellent, as was the seafood fondue. Server was wonderful and non-intrusive as our dinner party chatted and visited. We did have to request our server bring the check, but no worries. Music was lovely but a bit intense and I will request a table farther from the performance area when I make my next reservation.     Ate here mid day on a Saturday in December There were only 2 other occupied tables. The ambiance was cafeteria style. Lobby noise was overwhelming. Service was terrific! Food was cold. The gumbo was flavorful but cold. The fried chicken sandwich was ice cold and so hard I feared for my soft palate. Ice cold fries. No bar menu because the bartender did not arrive until 3pm? Ordered a bottle of Prosecco that surprisingly cost $80!! We will NEVER return.

    I booked a reservation and was expecting chicken to be a special but not the only option. I wish this was indicated (if it was, I missed it). They said the only other option was a salad. I ordered a salad with dressing on the side and it came COATED in dressing. I had to hold my lettuce above the plate to let it drip. My husband loved his fried chicken meal. The atmosphere was great but it was very loud (we were near a huge party and the piano). At one point, we just stopped talking because we couldn’t hear anything. I left disappointed and hungry but my husband left full and happy.

    We went for pre-Theatre drinks and snacks. Our server was great, the ambiance was great. The pear salad is very tasty unfortunately, the cheese board and charcuterie was a bit disappointing and the place was very loud.
