Fourteen Restaurant & Sky Lounge Ratings and Reviews
We waited 45 mins for our reservation then left, very unorganised!
The ambiance and view were nice but the service was quite poor as one server had about 30 people to attend to. The menu was vast and impressive, but the execution of the dishes was pretty lackluster. None of our plates seemed very remarkable. All said, for a drink I think this establishment would be nice but I wouldn’t be back for dinner.
Service, food and view were amazing! Came here for my anniversary with my boyfriend. Would definitely come back again!
New Years Eve dinner so it was a set menu. Food was very good although a bit pricey. Set menu for NYE stated 4 course meal although it was really only 3 with sorbet pallet cleanser. A salad would have been a nice addition at $65 per plate.
Server very nice but only come around 1 time with water refill.
Would definitely go again and order off menu.
Rack of lamb was small and all the vegetables were cold
We went to Fourteen for my girlfriend's birthday. It was a terrific experience. Service and food were great. We will definitely go back. What a view! Would be a nice place just to go for drinks even. I definitely recommend this place
Pleased to get a window seat with a fantastic view as requested.
Excellent food - server could have paid more attention to our group which was the only negative to an otherwise first rate dining experience - would recommend 14 especially if you have out of town guests - the view is the best in town
The food was very overpriced for the dishes. I would not recommend the seafood or pasta dishes. For example, the lobster gnocchi seemed like it was under a heat lamp for awhile and the seafood marinara cake with WAY too many noodles and not enough sauce. My companions said the steak and duck were cooked well. The cheese on the cheese plate was cold which reduces the flavours. I feel like they have a good idea for the food but are executing very poorly by not paying attention to detail. The restaurant was quite noisy when full and the decor was way too busy and tacky - too many patterns. They could have easily incorporated sound dampening features to make it a more pleasant dining experience. The view was great but when the first thing you see upon exiting the elevator are two dead poinsettia’s it kind of kills the vibe. Our waitress was attentive though.
We were here for lunch with two adult grandchildren who live in Edmonton and London. James was our server. He was most attentive and personable. Food was served timely. Everyone (5 of us) was pleased with the meal. It was a bright and sunny day with spectacular waves on the water. Even though we were not right by the window, the raised seating allowed for all of us to enjoy the view. We are returning for dinner tonight with more out of town visitors.
A perfect place to make a good impression on visitors to Windsor.
Susan and Joe, exceptional service, thank you!
Went above and beyond to accommodate a less energetic spot in the dining area!
Spectacular view. Limited menu. Food was just OK. Arrived for our reservation at 6 pm, asked for a window table (there were 5 empty), shown to a table against the wall. Hostess said "can't guarantee a window" and walked away.
A little disappointed in the booth. A little too big for 4 and away from the view. Although they were busy and accomodated a reservation from 2 to 4. Staff very good and food was excellent.
Definitely not happy with the 2 piece band and their music. Not suitable for after dinner drinks and conversation while enjoying the view. (maybe more suited to a younger crowd)
We went to Fourteen for our 30th wedding anniversary with our family and friends, we had a good time but it was pretty loud. The service was outstanding and the food was good, although the vegetables were a little under cooked for my liking and we had to wait a while for our table which we had reserved two months prior, but overall it was a fun evening. Would go again for sure.
Very enjoyable...just wished we would of had a better view....was told there was a party...but with an early reservation....thought it was possible....
My husband ordered a medium rare ribeye and it was well done.... it was also not hot. My chicken was good... I actually wanted the quinoa but they had none left.
We had reservations and were placed at a back table with no view of the river next to a large party.
I won’t go back.
Went here for dinner when we were visiting from out of town. The view was great! We got seated right away (7:15 reservations). Ordered by 7:30. We got the appetizer probably 20 min later. At 8:10 the waitress came over saying the food should be right out. She arrived with our food 40 min later and it was just mediocre. Don’t recommend.
The food was good although we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes at 8pm we were full from eating two baskets of bread waiting for our food by the time it got there the live music was really loud to the point we couldn't hear each other so we moved seats .. the restaurant has a great view and the food was pretty good
An absolute waste of money. Extremely overpriced food (tasted good, but nevertheless overpriced) in a casual hangout spot with live-music that is advertised as fine dining. We went for a quite and romantic night out and were met with unbearably loud live music and a standing-only room bar. After asking to have our table moved away from the music, we got moved twice, both only one or two tables over. We spoke to the manager who did not seem to care, and they did not even acknowledge we had a problem they should feel sorry about when we left. Nothing about this experience was fine dining, but we certainly paid the fine dining money for it.
What was to a romantic birthday celebration turned out to be a noisy, people banging up against our table, food "ok" kind of night. I had asked for a table with a view which we got but it was right next to the bar and where the servers placed orders etc. Noise level - incredible! Food was decent - charcuterie board very good, husbands' lamb chops amazing, my surf and turf was mostly left on my plate. Lobster tail was mush - seemed frozen and/or defrosted incorrectly. ONLY saving grace that whole evening was our amazing server Ainslie. A true professional and lovely server! What seemed entirely out of place was a woman wearing running shoes, clearing the tables and scurrying all about.....??? Wouldn't recommend this place unless you are 30 and under and wanting a loud, alcohol-fueled evening with a pretty hefty bill at the end of the night.
First time and will be back for sure. Marchello our waiter was superb, food was fabulous and views were spectacular!
We experienced top notch service, & excellent food. Kristin was a friendly , attentive server.
We had a superb view & enjoyed the entire evening. The ambiance was perfect.
Parking was easy ,live music was a lovely touch.
Second time I had dinner at Fourteen and loved it as much as my first. Scenery second to none along with taste and service during our meal. I invited three others who had never experienced this restaurant and they can't say enough about it!
We had a very nice evening. Wait staff was attentive and very helpful. The food was good and atmosphere was perfect.
Excellent service. Only real issue we had was that I booked our reservation on OpenTable exactly a week ahead. Then almost 2 hours later, I got an email saying that the restaurant canceled our reservation. I called right away and spoke to a kind woman saying that she's still able to view our reservation so I was relieved. BUT when we showed up for dinner, the hostess told us that it still showed as being cancelled. She kind of made me feel like it was a bit of a hassle to accommodate us, even after I explained what happened...but the restaurant had WAY more than enough room to accommodate our small party. Luckily our server made up for it. She was super nice and service was quick.
reservation made months in advance with request for riverside view - table reserved was not the view side nor was it in the restaurant/put us in the lounge
when I persisted to get a view/they never made the table up, no table cloth, salt/pepper etc..
service was spent in dining area, not lounge
food was over priced, cold and I wasn't impressed with the whole experience
Great first date location
The menu is unique and rotates with the season, the service wasn't as great as we anticipated/ expected, many people bringing out food and don't know who ordered what. Enjoyable evening with a beautiful view but on the expensive side.
Amazing Location, and views. Dinner was great, service was amazing .
The view was great. The food was amazing. And the staff was helpful and entertaining. We left just as the live music was starting, but it was a beautiful addition to the night! Overall, great restaurant.
We were sat in the middle of the restaurant limiting our view. We were hoping for better because that is feature of going to a building top restaurant - the views.
The bartender while I am sure a nice fellow was chatting up 3 ladies - we were seated at almost the furthest table from the bar and felt like we were in his conversation he was so loud - this was well before the band started. Our meal took quite a while to arrive. Others seated after us received their food before us.
Great ambiance & view, took my boyfriend here for a special date night. He loved it. Will definitely be back.
Had a some service hiccups at dinner, but owner personally reached out to make it right. Great food, try the duck or beef wellington!
Our reservation was for 730, and we ate at 10 PM. That says a lot.
The food and service was really good. The view, especially in the evening, was very pretty. The space itself, along with the ambiance, was very typical. It's "nice" and clean but very commercial, no soul.
Loved our meal - prepared perfectly. Service was excellent. And you simply can’t beat the view! We went before sunset and enjoyed the transition from daylight to the city lights of the Detroit skyline. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
Steak was over cooked and had a weird sauce that tasted like flowers, lobster was way over cooked, and they don’t recork so if you buy a bottle of wine be prepaid to finish it or waste your money. Service was good until the end of our meal after dessert we waited a good 30mins before our server came back. We thought she forgot about us. Was expecting more for what we paid
I was a little iffy about trying this place because I had heard mixed reviews about the food not being the greatest or the portions being too small. I was pleasantly surprised with how tasty everything was! Mind you, my friend and I only ordered apps but nonetheless they were delicious. I highly recommend the mussels - some of the best I've ever had! Also ordered the smoked duck and mushroom flatbread, which were also good. I had a caesar to drink and my friend had the rosee moscato, which were both very tasty as well. The menu is very reasonably priced. My server was very friendly, the view was lovely and the atmosphere was very nice too. Overall very satisfied with my visit there, I would definitely go back.
Food was amazing, server was fantastic, and the view was perfect. All around good experience! Perfect way to spend dinner.
