    The singer was very loud. We couldn’t hear each other. Even when we wanted to order food and drinks we had to repeat couple of times. The food is just ok. Nothing special to expect

    My burger was full on raw in the centre dispute asking for it well done. Pop was watered down and not much carbonation. Crème brûlée was lumpy and hard - bizarre. Flies abound inside the restaurant. Table had hardened goo on it (not cleaned). Will never return to this restaurant.

    the chicken and waffles were very disappointing. The waffles were soggy and tasted no better than Eggos, and I got like maybe 6 pieces of small chicken bits. I wish I got the smash burger instead of changing my order.

    Outdoor patio was great. Live music was nice. Magician with card tricks was also a nice added touch. We had the eggs Benedict and they were just Ok. Overall experience was lively and entertaining

    I had a truly disappointing experience. The food was not only below average but also lacked any attention to detail. It's clear that the chefs and staff had no passion for what they were serving. Save your money and taste buds for elsewhere.

    Very nice place, close to the Rogers Centre. Ideal stop before a show. The menu is extensive and the food is tasty. Service was also outstanding. The frozen peach bellini was so good!

    The four of us ordered one taco each and a shot of tequila for the late night happy hour. The tables all around us got their food before us when their food was way more than tacos. Once we got ours they were cold. We spoke with the manager Dimitri and he apologized and rectified the whole situation. We were satisfied.

    The food was okay but it took 30 minutes just to get a water from the server. They forgot items from our order and we hardly saw our server the entire time we were there. The restaurant wasn’t busy so this was surprising.

    Mediocre food with reasonable prices compared to other restaurants in the area. However, a table close to us ordered one of the tower cocktails and it came to them with a fly in it. They sent it back to the bar and I watched the bartender. Instead of remaking the drink he simply stuck his hand in the drink and fished out the fly before sending it back to their table... Gross.

    If you’re going for a drink it’s a good place to pop in but I don’t recommend the food. I understand it’s a pub, but pub food can also be done well. I don’t think making a good tray of nachos is hard. What we were given was a tray of overcooked nachos with very few toppings.

    I have eaten at Fox on John in the past and enjoyed it, so I booked a table for 12:00 p.m. for myself and two friends to have lunch before our 3:07 p.m. Blue Jays Game. I booked a table indoors in case of rain. Unfortunately, the music was so loud that we were neither able to carry on a conversation nor even hear the server. Given that there were many tables available outside, we asked if we could move. Our server asked the manager and advised us that unfortunately, all the tables outside were reserved, but that the manager would turn the music down. After 15 minutes, the music got even louder. There were still a good amount of tables available outside so I personally approached the Manager to indicate that the music was not bearable, and that perhaps we could move outside and eat quickly. He again said that all tables were booked and the only one he could offer was the low table with the couch. This back and forth unfortunately continued, and after asking for the 4th time, we were moved to a table outside. Honestly, I would have completely understood if all the tables were taken, but they were not. By the time we finished our meal and paid the bill, there were still empty tables available. The food and servers are good, but I do not believe it is acceptable to have to ask 4 times to move before anything was done.

    Had a fantastic time at brunch. Food was delicious, service was awesome, and the patio was so picturesque. I adored being surrounded by all the greenery. They had a live guitar player playing music, and I was pleasantly surprised that the sounds was not overpowering. Live music can sometimes overpower a soundscape easily, and they did not. All around, great experience.

    The place had a good happy hour menu with a variety of drinks and cocktails to choose from. The place did exuberate creativity interms of the decor and lighting. We were seated indoors, communication with the staff was a little difficult due to the noise level. The food was quite disappointing. Though we were offered a cancellation on the platter of baked wings that we ordered which was served fried to us. Overall it was a fun place to grab a few drinks and have a good time.

    Only main problem was that we sat inside and it was HOT. like very warm. And this is august when it is always hot outside. But there clearly was no AC or it wasn’t working. Other than that the value was good and had a good time

    The food was good. The noise level ('energetic') is so loud you can barely have a conversation. For this reason alone, I will not go back. Of note, when I did mention the music was much too loud the manager turned it down somewhat in our section, so perhaps if I had mentioned early on it would have made for a much better experience.

    Loved the restaurant but it was really too noisy. Music was 10 decibels too high. Even my 35 yr old daughter complained and she loves electronic music. It was 6 pm and no need for that loud of music. It will give us 2nd thoughts to dine there again . But our server Bash was fantastic!

    Great service, great food! We let the server know that we had tickets to Hamilton and she made sure that we received everything we wanted in plenty of time to get to the theatre in plenty of time. It was a Wednesday evening and half price wine bottles and pastas which was a nice bonus! The restaurant is a 3 min walk to Princess of Whales theatre which was very convenient. Parking and traffic were the only issues but it is downtown and it was rush hour, so expected!

    Definitely would recommend anyone to come and enjoy brunch at foxonjohn !! I attend during caribana weekend 🇬🇾and the vibe was a 10/10. You can’t go wrong with a passion fruit tower with your friends and a nice hot meal to take it in. I will be coming back for sure .

    The servers are superb! They graciously accommodated our early arrival, & were very friendly. But I feel sorry for them. Trying to communicate with guests through the cacophony, the BLARING music that repelled us right outta the restaurant as soon as we could down our one drink. The table was spacious & the patio well decorated, however the atmosphere prevented us from fully enjoying the space & trying the food.

    Very nice atmosphere. Nachos are good. Chicken bites apetizer delicious, same as the stuffed chicken. Steak, fish and chips and smashed burger were ok. Desert, all good. House red so, so. Service was really nice! Music, ambience.

    Bottomless Memosas is false advertising! There is a price for every refill! We reserved for brunch thinking that we could have bottomless memosas. This is greatly disappointing and also misleading! Never going back for brunch!
