   Wide range of menu, maybe too wide, but the staff were very helpful in narrowing it to get very good meals. Plus, this review backdrop template shows Amherst location, but we ate in Truro.

   This is one of the few spots to dine in Amherst NS and is one of the better. The food is tasty and the service is always lovely.

   Most restaurants that have a large verity of food, and only excel in a hand full of dishes. Frank & Gino’s however, offers everything from Chicken to Fish to Pizza, and more, and the quality remains at a level that you would expect from a restaurant that prides themselves on their signature meals.    Made reservation, indicated special occasion and made special request thru OpenTable on F & G website. Arrived on time Seated at second table from door Inquired and was told no reservations taken. Family reunion with older sis and husband visiting Mom in Cap Pele I live in Halifax Amherst was best meet spot. Either OT didn't send info or F&G ignored info Restaurant needs reno My seat in booth showed its age. 6 flies buzzed our food and faces for duration. Complained to staff They complained too but no offer to move Killed one fly as sacrifice on glass partition Expected finer dining with reservations, special occasion and special request from OT app on F&Gs website. Food and service were satisfactory for family not fine dining Deleted account at OT Useless site farming for email addresses only. Had I known all this I would have traveled to Moncton for a better experience for a special occasion as this was.

   We went there around 1:30 pm on Labour Day and there were quite a few customers but only 2 waitresses. The lunch menu still applied on a holiday and it was delicious! We had the penne rusting and the chicken carbonara and the ingredients were fresh. A generous portion of garlic bread came with the meal, Hats off to Jazmin who was attentive and provided great service. I would recommend this restaurant!

   We've been known to drive a fair distance to dine at Frank n Gino's. Always enjoy the visit. First time in Amherst. Just as good as Truro. Will return again and again and again.

    We stopped on our drive from Ontario to Newfoundland as I had researched places to eat on google. We were traveling with our 3 small grandkids. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this restaurant. It was a great stop after driving all day. Would highly recommend.

    My wife and I traveled to Amherst to conduct business, and we were looking for something nice instead of fast food. We found this restaurant online and booked a seat - and we are definitely happy we did. The service was fast, friendly, and enjoyable. The food was so good. OMG. My wife, who loves the dish she ordered, said it was the best she ever tasted. We will absolutely be recommending Frank & Gino's to anyone we know traveling to Amherst. Thank you!!!

    Went out for supper with my 8 yr old stepdaughter. She loves to colour on the kids menu with the crayons provided while we wait for our food to arrive at the table. My Cajun burger was amazing! Her kids meal was the nuggets and fries which I thought was ok, but I took advantage of “Kids Eat Free” promo which is helpful on the wallet. We will return!

    I reserved on line and when we arrived we were told they didn’t accept online reservations at the amherst location, only the truro location, but I showed them my email confirmation which said “Amherst” location. They didn’t have any record of it but luckily there was a table available. I ordered the pizza panzerotti WITHOUT salami and pepperoni but it came with both so I just picked it out. My husband ordered a grilled chicken panini, but it came on a bun, not a panini. The bruschetta was good and so was the Greek salad. They gave us 30% off for the mix ups which was nice but tbe cook needs to pay more attention to the orders and they need fix the online reservation problem. Also, at the table next to us, someone ordered a burger and I heard her tell the waitress it was not cooked. Overall, not a great first experience.

    Frank and Gino’s was great. What wasn’t great was getting there to a crowded restaurant and finding out the reservations weren’t there because there is something wrong with OpenTable.ca. This shouldn’t be available on the website if it doesn’t work. Thank goodness for great servers at Frank and Gino’s who found our group of 7 a good table!!!

    Establishment would not accept the Open Table certificate so this needs to be reviewed otherwise review from OpenTable. food was ok. Steak was cooked to correct temperature but tough and lacked flavour expected for a medium rare strip loin.
